Story
Stella is a cute, energetic 7 year old dog who loves to play and once comfortable, a sweet girl. She has a history of abuse and neglect from her past owners who wanted to leave her to the kennel but we took her in. We no longer are able to maintain the care and attention she needs and hope for someone who is willing to put time and effort into training her behavioral issues because she deserves a chance. She loves to play for hours on end, she's full of energy.

Story
Ziva is a lucky dog! She was absconded in a rural area where she lived out in the open field for a few months. Locals put out food but she would never come close enough for them to grab her and get her to safety. Finally someone reached out to our friends at HOPE FOR PAWS and they went out there and were able to trap her. She appeared to have had puppies recently but they were nowhere to be found. Maybe the dumper kept the puppies and dumped her??? We just don’t know. She’s great with other dogs, cats and people of all ages. She does have a “momma bear” side to her and she will bark to alert you to strangers but she quickly calms down. She is affectionate but not needy, attentive and happy. Last photo is from where she was abandoned. She’s goofy and loving. Total Romantic.

Story
What can we say about Wally? Well, despite his face, he is 100% not a corgi. We dunno what he is but it’s not that. He’s actually a bigger boy than he looks at first. He’s very sweet, seems to be a medium energy level (but he mighta been lying) and a terrific hugger. He does this adorable tail vibration thing when he gets activated by something that is super unique. He’s a little serious in the shelter, but we can tell his inner goofball is in there somewhere, just waiting for an outlet. He’s really curious, and a big fan of getting brushed actually- we did that for a good while. He’s gonna need humans who can handle his size, help him find his confidence, and take him on adventures so his curiosity can be satisfied. He also appreciates being told how pretty he is and what great ears he has- so that will be a daily (or hourly) requirement for his forever humans. If you think you have the stamina to keep up with that task- head into #burbankanimalshelter and interview with Wally- see if he hires you to be his best friend. Come visit the Burbank Animal Shelter to foster or adopt Wally!

Story
Ozzie was abandoned by his previous “owner” at a Loves gas station for four days before he decided to hop in my car and wouldn’t leave. He’s a highly affectionate, highly intelligent young pup who’s about 1 years old and has high energy and loves to get attention and play. Plays fetch, catch, tug of war, and in general loves to run around. Ideally an active owner who’s got time each day to get his energy out would be preferred. I believe he is an Australian kelpie and they tend to be herding dogs and he is the same. He’s a great dog and needs a great owner. We’d keep him if we had the space and if our landlord let us. Ozzie is good with other dogs not sure about cats but he is easily trainable. Loves to chew if is bored.

Story
Meet Suri! Suri is a beautiful 5-year-old Border Collie mix who was found wandering the streets around the Inglewood area. She was microchipped and her owners were contacted, but sadly, no one ever responded. After a couple of months in foster care, Suri is officially ready to find her forever family. She is an absolute sweetheart who is smart, playful, and loving. She knows how to sit, responds really well to her name, LOVES playing fetch, and is great with other dogs. Suri is moderate to high energy and would love a family who can keep her active. She’s not puppy-level hyper or running around all day, but she definitely benefits from a daily walk, a trip to the park, or a good game of fetch. Once she’s gotten her activity in, she’s happy to settle in at home. She also does well when left alone and hasn’t shown any signs of separation anxiety in her foster home. Suri has so much love to give, and we can’t wait to see her finally get the forever home she deserves. Apply to adopt Suri at wishbonela.org
