FOREVER HOME NEEDED Meet Sydney! Sydney is a 1-year-old, 34 LB Smooth Coat Collie/Cattle Dog mix (with maybe a little Jack Russell Terrier sprinkled in!) who came to us as a stray from an overcrowded CA shelter. Sydney is smart, sweet, loving, and full of playful energy. She’s looking for an active home that will include her in adventures, keep her well-socialized, and continue her training as she grows into her best self. She still has some puppy mouthiness and will thrive with structure, consistency, and plenty of mental and physical activity! She could do well as an only dog if her family keeps her social and engaged, but she’d also love to have a doggy sibling to play with and learn from. With her adorable half-floppy ears, soft coat, and cheerful bounce in her step, Sydney is as cute as she is fun! If you’re looking for your next medium-size adventure buddy — smart, affectionate, and always ready to explore — Sydney might just be your perfect match! Sydney is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and spayed. Her adoption fee is $500.

Story
Currently in a Toronto foster home I might be a mix, but I’ve got the best of both worlds — the smarts of a Border Collie and the focus of a Jindo. I’m clever, full of energy, and once I love you, I love you with all my heart. I was born in an old abandoned house, far from people and care. But when I was just 3 months old, kind humans rescued me and brought me to a warm, safe foster home. That’s where I spent the first 2 years of my life, learning what it means to be loved and to live indoors. Due to some changes in my foster family’s life, I had to move to a training center. At first, everything was unfamiliar and a little scary… but I surprised everyone by adjusting quickly! Now I get along great with the trainers, and I love learning new things. I’m really good at understanding people — not just their words, but their feelings too. When I meet someone new, I might hesitate for a moment. But give me a little time and kindness, and you’ll see the real me — sweet, affectionate, and even a little silly. I also get along well with other dogs and know how to play nicely without causing trouble. I love walks and being outdoors, and I’m happiest when I can explore the world with someone I trust. After some fun and exercise, I’m more than happy to relax quietly at home. I’ve got a calm, sensitive side too. I’ve spent most of my life around women, so I might be a bit shy around men at first. But please don’t worry — with patience and gentle care, I’ll come closer, lean in, and show you how much love I have to give. What I’m really looking for is someone who’s ready to build a bond — who’ll walk with me, talk with me, and understand that trust takes time but grows deep. If that sounds like you, I think we could be a perfect match. I’m ready to give my heart. Are you ready to be my forever family? 💛 Love, Dior

Per our rescue policy, unless specifically noted in a dog's bio, we will not consider adoption applications from families with children under 5 years old.  We take care to make sure every pup finds their pawfect forever homes! Our policy is to match our puppies’ personalities to our prospective adopters’ lifestyle and preferences in a four-legged fur companion. We reserve the right to select a pup we feel will be best suited for you, which may not be the pup you originally applied for. Upon adoption, Forgotten Dogs Rescue requires all puppies under a year of age to be enrolled in puppy classes. And if you're looking for a puppy with the heart of a poet and the sass of a stadium tour opener, Ophelia might just be your leading lady. This confident little cattle dog-in-training has a spark in her eye and a spring in her step, always ready to chase, tug, and show off her signature herding flair. She’s bold, brainy, and a bit bossy once she gets comfy, so she’ll do best with someone who knows their way around a working breed and can keep up with her groove. Ophelia’s not afraid of much, but she may give you a shy side-eye before hopping into your heart for good. Think of her as the puppy version of your favorite song: catchy, complex, and guaranteed to get stuck in your head (in the best way). So if you're feeling like you're out of the woods and ready to begin again with a new best friend, don’t miss your chance to scoop up one of these adorable, affectionate Swifties.
