WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org 🧭🐾 Meet Journey — A Sweet Soul Ready to Find Her Way Home 🐾🧭 Journey is a 1-year-old, ~40-pound sweetheart who has spent her puppyhood waiting for something every dog deserves — a family of her own. Born into an unwanted litter, Journey and her siblings grew up without the comforts of home life: no cozy couches, no bedtime routines, and no humans calling her name just because they love her. Yet through it all, Journey’s heart remained gentle, hopeful, and full of love. Journey is friendly, affectionate, and playful, with a soft, loving nature that makes her impossible not to adore. She does great with other dogs and kids, and has a beautiful balance of curiosity and calm. She’s the kind of girl who will happily explore the world with you and then settle in close, just to be sure she’s exactly where she belongs. Her mom is a heeler/border collie mix around 40 lbs, and dad remains a mystery — a charming wanderer who passed along good looks and great genes. Whatever the mix, Journey inherited intelligence, athleticism, and a loyal heart that’s ready to bond deeply with her people. Journey would thrive with an active, loving family who enjoys walks, playtime, and adventures, but also values togetherness and connection. She’s eager to learn, ready to blossom, and so deserving of the life she’s been patiently waiting for. 🐕 Journey’s Details: ✅ 1 year old, ~40 lbs ✅ Sweet, affectionate, and people-oriented ✅ Great with dogs and kids ✅ Playful, gentle, and loyal ✅ Smart and eager to learn ✅ Waiting for her forever family Journey doesn’t need much — just a chance, a safe place to land, and someone willing to love her wholeheartedly. She’s ready to stop waiting and start living the beautiful life she deserves. ✨ Apply today at haydudeequine.org and help Journey finally find her way home. 🐾

Story
I'm introducing Sweet Penny hoping to find her a forever home that has either active adult(s) and/or young children that will match this sweet girls' entertaining energy. Penny loves puzzles and human laps and lots of hugs and kisses. She can exercise for hours and has to hear "all done" to stop getting you to play with her. She fetches, tugs, and loves to play with her own shadow. She is shy at first and great with other dogs and cats once she feels safe. She loves being outdoors in her yard on sunny days and likes to hunker down in her dog house during rainy days. She must have tall fences. She's crate trained when needed and has/needs a bark collar for door knocks, strangers, and joggers who pass her yard but has learned to not bark (for the most part). She's truly very loving and gentle and respects others dogs' authority. She is very smart and can be taught many things and thrives on learning. My living environment is changing and to be fair to her, she needs a larger home.

Lucky has a very sweet nature. He is highly trainable, but we haven’t had the time to really train him. He is very treat motivated. He loves new chew toys and bones. He walks on a leash but pulls and can be reactive because he has stranger danger. He has never bitten any person or dog. He is a good watchdog and will bark loudly, but never gets really close to the person. he sleeps indoors at night and prefers to be indoors near people. He will chase a cat if they run, but has never hurt any of our cats.

Story
Currently in a Toronto foster home I might be a mix, but I’ve got the best of both worlds — the smarts of a Border Collie and the focus of a Jindo. I’m clever, full of energy, and once I love you, I love you with all my heart. I was born in an old abandoned house, far from people and care. But when I was just 3 months old, kind humans rescued me and brought me to a warm, safe foster home. That’s where I spent the first 2 years of my life, learning what it means to be loved and to live indoors. Due to some changes in my foster family’s life, I had to move to a training center. At first, everything was unfamiliar and a little scary… but I surprised everyone by adjusting quickly! Now I get along great with the trainers, and I love learning new things. I’m really good at understanding people — not just their words, but their feelings too. When I meet someone new, I might hesitate for a moment. But give me a little time and kindness, and you’ll see the real me — sweet, affectionate, and even a little silly. I also get along well with other dogs and know how to play nicely without causing trouble. I love walks and being outdoors, and I’m happiest when I can explore the world with someone I trust. After some fun and exercise, I’m more than happy to relax quietly at home. I’ve got a calm, sensitive side too. I’ve spent most of my life around women, so I might be a bit shy around men at first. But please don’t worry — with patience and gentle care, I’ll come closer, lean in, and show you how much love I have to give. What I’m really looking for is someone who’s ready to build a bond — who’ll walk with me, talk with me, and understand that trust takes time but grows deep. If that sounds like you, I think we could be a perfect match. I’m ready to give my heart. Are you ready to be my forever family? 💛 Love, Dior

Story
Are you ready for it? Introducing the Swiftie Litter, a chart-topping crew of tail-wagging, toe-tapping, cuddle-loving pups who are here to steal the show and your heart. Thought to be a dazzling mix of pit bull and herding breeds, these bright young stars are curious, cuddly, and bursting with potential! If you're looking for a puppy with the heart of a poet and the sass of a stadium tour opener, Ophelia might just be your leading lady. This confident little cattle dog-in-training has a spark in her eye and a spring in her step, always ready to chase, tug, and show off her signature herding flair. She’s bold, brainy, and a bit bossy once she gets comfy, so she’ll do best with someone who knows their way around a working breed and can keep up with her groove. Ophelia’s not afraid of much, but she may give you a shy side-eye before hopping into your heart for good. Think of her as the puppy version of your favorite song: catchy, complex, and guaranteed to get stuck in your head (in the best way). So if you're feeling like you're out of the woods and ready to begin again with a new best friend, don’t miss your chance to scoop up this year's most liked girl - Ophelia! Number one on the puppy charts and soon to be number one in your heart! If you're ready for the ultimate love story, apply for Ophelia today!   Ophelia's adoption fee is $550. She is estimated to have been born in September 2025 and weighs around 28lbs. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. Per our rescue policy, unless specifically noted in a dog's bio, we will not consider adoption applications from families with children under 5 years old.  We take care to make sure every pup finds their pawfect forever homes! Our policy is to match our puppies’ personalities to our prospective adopters’ lifestyle and preferences in a four-legged fur companion. We reserve the right to select a pup we feel will be best suited for you, which may not be the pup you originally applied for. Upon adoption, Forgotten Dogs Rescue requires all puppies under a year of age to be enrolled in puppy classes. Ask us about our recommendations and requirements for positive reinforcement training options!
