Story
Meet Cooper, an adult neutered male Corgi! Cooper is about 3 years old and 20 lbs. He will be arriving in CT on 10/3 and we are accepting applications for him now! He will be required to attend our adoption event in Dayville, CT on 10/4. Corgi show herding tendencies, due to this we recommend older children. His foster said, "Cooper is a happy, super friendly little guy! He gets along great with most dogs. He is very affectionate. He is doing well with house training but might mark initially in a new home so a belly band can be used." Cooper is medically up to date and neutered. Apply to meet this special pup today! Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs.  We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted.  As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. We believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance. Thank you for your support and understanding! ##2836832##

Story
Meet Winnie! 🐾 Winnie is a 1-year-old Corgi/Shepherd mix** weighing about 30 pounds and she has the classic Corgi personality—smart, confident, playful, affectionate, and just a little bit bossy! She loves being with her people and will keep you smiling with her funny, mischievous personality. Winnie loves people and enjoys children, but her herding instincts mean she may try to nip at the ankles when they are running. Because of this, an older-child home would be the best fit. She also loves playing with other dogs and would do best with a friendly, more submissive dog who won't mind Winnie occasionally trying to be the boss. She would also be fine as an only dog. Winnie has done well with cats she's lived with, although she does have a tendency to chase cats and squirrels when she's outside. Winnie is crate trained and house trained with a doggie door, though she may need a little adjustment learning to let her people know when she needs to go out without one. She also loves going for car rides and would happily tag along on adventures. Like many Corgis, Winnie is clever and curious—and sometimes a little too clever! She enjoys stealing socks and toys, so her new family will need to keep up with her. It's all part of her fun-loving personality. Winnie is a happy, affectionate, energetic girl with lots of personality who would love an active family ready to give her the exercise, structure, and attention she needs. ❤️ She is spayed and up to date on sll shots and microchip. Story
This incredibly perfect, tender, loving, short legged, long bodied chocolate princess is Kizzy! She was found living with a person who sadly, was themselves homeless. They were entirely unable to care for her and knew it, and welcomed help to get her a better, more stable life. Fortunately a wonderful new foster home came forward after hearing her story and was happy to take this easy going, loving girl in until she finds her forever home! Kizzy is 2 years and 8 months old, and is just a darling ham of a girl. She is currently 65 lbs, but is a bit on the voluptuous side. Her ideal weight is closer to about 55 lbs. And, it is a short, thicker 55 lbs. She has been to the vet and been given a clean bill of health! She is now current on vaccines, deworming, preventative, and heartworm tested negative! She is also microchipped and spayed! She is officially ready for adoption and can’t wish to find true love! This girl is doing absolutely amazing in her foster home and has shown what an easy going, loving, well behaved girl she is! She is an unbelievably sweet dog, with the most loving heart. She enjoys snuggling and thrives so much with the companionship of loving humans. She is good with other dogs and will play here and there with them, but doesn’t demand a lot of play or activity. She will do great in a home with or without other dogs. She finds happiness both ways, her main goal is loving humans who will snuggle her on the sofa, take her for walks, car rides, and give her the cheerful, happy life she has always longed for. She has great house manners and reliably goes potty outside. She also knows sit and paw. She does love to play with toys and stuffies, and is a happy, fun loving, but also easy going, pretty relaxed wonderful companion. She has the most adorable build and sweet, friendly smile. She will love to accompany you anywhere you’d like to go, but she’s also happy relaxing at the house and just enjoying the good life of snuggles. She is a very easy girl to love and care for. She has such a grateful spirit and has so much to offer her new home. If this amazing girl is just the happy, easy going best friend and baby you have been waiting for, please visit www.greatdivideanimalrescue.org/applicationdogs and submit an application for adoption today!! **NOTE** to ensure prompt response- please go directly to our website (www.greatdivideanimalrescue.org) to apply, or email (inquiries.rescuematch@aol.com) directly with any questions to ensure your inquiry/application is received by our organization. Story
He is a very well trained energetic  snuggle bug. House trained, crate trained, Walks beautifully on a leash, has the best recall I have seen in a corgi, lives for tennis balls and squeaky toys. He is up to date on all his shots and we have all of his vet records from our vet and his previous ownersHe is anxious around other dogs in a house setting. He is really good in the car, just very excited so he tries to bounce around a lot. Does really well on walks minimal pulling, listens to commands, pretty loose leash I can walk with a coffee in hand and it stays in the cup, even when other dogs are around. Touching his paws or armpits, causes him anxiety, He got into a cactus while living in AZ and since then screams if you touch his paws. Even if he puts his paw in your hand.
