Meet Ginny, a young adult (approx. 2 years old) spayed female Corgi mix, weighing about 45 lbs!  Ginny is currently in TN and is expected to arrive in CT on 2/21. We are accepting applications on her now!  Ginny is a sweet girl who loves her people, she will happily follow you around and is an excellent cuddler! She also loves car rides and would be thrilled to join you on adventures! While she does ok meeting other dogs, Ginny can be dog selective (she was surrendered by her previous owner due to not getting along with one of the other dogs in the home). She has done well with the other dogs in her TN foster home, however we feel that she would be happiest as an only dog. She has not been cat tested, so we are unsure how she would do with cats.  Ginny loves people and is a friendly girl but as a young herding breed, we recommend older kids 10+ (as she may try to herd small children). She thrives in a calm home and would love nothing more than to be the center of your attention! Ginny is medically up to date, housebroken, and crate trained. Apply to meet this special pup today! Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs.  We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted.  As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. Meet Sara, the most adorable "little" girl! Sara is a precious 2 yr-old Corgi who comes with a built-in guarantee: you will fall in love with her the minute you see her. Sara is the definition of a perfect companion. She has a beautiful, "cuddle" soft fawn and white coat that looks hand-painted. Her huge, dark chestnut eyes truly sparkle when she sees you. She is "Miss Personality" and never meets a stranger, getting along wonderfully with children, seniors, other dogs of all sizes, and even cats. Beyond her looks, Sara is incredibly smart and an extremely fast learner. She is eager to please and would be a social addition to any outing, whether it's a trip to the park or running errands around town. At the end of the day, she loves nothing more than snuggling up as close to you as possible. Her foster family feels the perfect home for Sara would be with a single woman, a couple, or a family with gentle children who will adore playing with her. Sara is currently with her foster family in Kentucky and will arrive in the New England area via pet transport once she is adopted. Her adoption fee is $875. Welcome Ana to CCPAL foster/rehome program. Ana is living in Connecticut. She is a 32 pound and 5 year 8 month old Corgi/Australian Cattle Dog. She was adopted as a puppy and now is not getting along with a new Healer in the home. The Corgi part of this pup makes her more suitable for an only home. She is great in a doggy park but not fond of sharing her bed, toys or family with another live in dog. This makes miss Ana in need of a new forever home. She is an affectionate dog. She is potty trained and has good recall when called. She is an alert dog when someone is at the door or something out of place in the yard. She is adorable and will be a great companion for a family. She has been good around all people including strangers. She is currently not around a cat . Ana is a smaller dog with a larger than life personality and looks to match. She is a great walker on leash and has had some training. She is very smart. Ana could have a meet and greet with an approved application. Ana is healthy, spayed and current on vaccines. Rehome fee is a $200 donation to the Rescue. Story
Gracie is a sweet dog. We have had her since 2020 and got her when she was a puppy from a breeder. She is approxiametly 5 years old. Gracie does well with children, but likes to jump so would not do well with small children. She is super friendly, and gets along well with her pal Abby. I think that she would do best though as an only dog, as she can be bossy because which is typical of her breed. She does chase our cats. She is trained on an invisible fence, and housetrained. She has plenty of energy! Unfortunately our home has become too busy to give her the attention that she needs. She is spayed and up to date on her shots. She is a corgi, so an experienced dog owner is a must, especially because of her breed. Thank you for thinking about giving Gracie a home.
