The majority of the dogs marked as 'meet me' will be there to see you! If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at our Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05. Foxy is a wonderful 6.5-year-old Corgi/Shiba Inu mix who is looking for her forever home. Weighing 39 pounds, Foxy is a beautiful and incredibly intelligent dog with a loving personality that shines once she builds trust. Foxy thrives on daily exercise, enjoying walks, playtime, and mental stimulation. She is house-trained and knows basic commands. Her favorite things include playing fetch, chewing on her toys, and relaxing with her licky pad. Foxy would do best in a calm, structured home with an owner experienced in handling reactive dogs. She can be wary of new people and other dogs, but with patience, consistency, and understanding, she quickly opens up to reveal her goofy and affectionate nature. S'mores is a terrific dog who needs a specific, extremely dog savvy home. Yes, he's adorable but if you have never had a dog before or never worked w a dog with guarding issues before ...he is not for you. Corgis can be stubborn and difficult to begin with but this guy ..no idea where he came from. All we know he was tied to a pole by yankee stadium in 90 degree weather. When a volunteer went to get him he got aggressive. He didn't want to be touched in the foster home unless he initiated it, and he was a nightmare at the vet. He did bite. I dont blame him at all. This being said, now he loves attention. He rolls over for belly rubs at events and jumps up for attention. S'mores must have grown up with a lot of dogs because he loves dogs and he loves to play. Another dog ( meet required ) is a must. S'mores is 2 to 3 yrs old, 24 lbs As for his people, ADULT only. He needs a leader, someone who understands how to give a dog space and boundaries . You can't let him run the house or go on the sofa ( although they have cute sized dog sofas). He is a serious food guarder so put him in a separate room when he eats or crate. Just because S'mores has issues, it doesn't mean he is a bad dog. What it means is he needs a better listener!! People think "oh,if i show him a ton of love he will never bite me." No, he will think you are weak and bite you. Yes; he needs love, but you need to earn it. If you give S'mores space and time and take it slow..you will have the best dog, but you can't rush it. S'mores will run and play with his dog friends all day long, but he must have an old hip injury because after a lot of hard core play he needed crate rest for a day. You can't forget that he's still a little guy and other big dogs can jump on him and hurt him. If there are problems with the website, please email me for help. This beautiful dog came with the name Rubix, but we call her Ruby. She is a “Lowrider” mix…we think a Welsh Corgi mix. DOB 12/1/24; weighs 27#s. Ruby is a shy, sweet soul who absolutely adores people. She’s got a gentle heart, a love of belly rubs, and a soft spot for sweet affection and cuddles and… once she warms up, she’ll be your loyal shadow. Her dreamy, creamy fur, short legs and long body make her as cute as a button! She walks well on a leash, is crate trained, and is potty trained (and as a young dog small-breed, she needs to go outside frequently. How is she with other dogs you ask? She’s still learning to feel safe. She has done well with dogs her size, and plays energetically and respectfully. Bigger dogs who are respectful can win her over, but if they are too energetic or rough she becomes intimidated and runs to her human for protection. She does warm up quickly and loves to play. Welcome Ana to CCPAL foster/rehome program. Ana is living in Connecticut. She is a 32 pound and 5 year 8 month old Corgi/Australian Cattle Dog. She was adopted as a puppy and now is not getting along with a new Healer in the home. The Corgi part of this pup makes her more suitable for an only home. She is great in a doggy park but not fond of sharing her bed, toys or family with another live in dog. This makes miss Ana in need of a new forever home. She is an affectionate dog. She is potty trained and has good recall when called. She is an alert dog when someone is at the door or something out of place in the yard. She is adorable and will be a great companion for a family. She has been good around all people including strangers. She is currently not around a cat . Ana is a smaller dog with a larger than life personality and looks to match. She is a great walker on leash and has had some training. She is very smart. Ana could have a meet and greet with an approved application. Ana is healthy, spayed and current on vaccines. Rehome fee is a $200 donation to the Rescue. When this poor Visalia dog (Lola) arrived we thought we were up against inoperable (due to size and location) tumors. Our good Vet (seasoned in tricky cases by now) discovered the largest was a sack of urine next to a mammary tumor. He drained one day and did surgery the next to remove the issues and spay and have her ready to go...she came through great and is a sweet little dog. and very cute! One tumor returned and is now a large mass that we were told is best not to remove again and she soldiers on happily so we have decided to leave it. So it will take someone who can relax with the hard mass on her underside. She is housetrained and independent and happy.
