Coozie is a sweet, social, mixed breed pup that's ready to bring the fun to his new home. He loves people, enjoys playing with other dogs, and he is always up for an outdoor adventure. If you're looking for a new buddy for your hikes, walks, road trips, ballgames....you name it.....Coozie is up for fun! If you're interested in adding this Very Good Boy to your household, we'd LOVE to hear from you! This puppy Is spayed/neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, treated for all of the intestinal parasites, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. Because intestinal parasites are cyclical, your puppy may need additional treatment once you get him/her home. This is common and nothing to be alarmed about. Puppies and dogs need to be treated periodically for parasites throughout their entire lives. The adoption fee is $550 if your adoption is prepaid prior to your pup's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged on puppies that are adopted at an event, or foster home. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with CT HB 5368. WANT TO MEET OUR DOGS IN PERSON? Check the Events tab on cprdogs.com for all weekend adoption event info. The majority of the dogs marked as 'meet me' will be there to see you! More and more of our adopters are having fun with DNA tests on their pups. You might ask yourself why our breed guess is varying degrees of difference from the DNA tests. Most of our puppies are rescued from high kill shelters or other abandonment situations and we have no info on parents. When we rescue puppies that have no background info, we make our very best educated guess as to breed mix and age. Our guesstimate comes from years and years and years of animal welfare work and training, but our guesses won't always agree with your vet, your neighbor, your DNA test, etc. The most important thing to know about your puppy's breed mix is that most likely he/she is a Super Lovable Mutt made of many many many different breeds. If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at the Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05. Welcome Foxy Lady to CCPAL Rescue. She is a Corgi/Cairn is our best estimate on her breed. She is 15 months old. She has a longer coat and weight about 25 pounds. She should be full grown and if anything may fill out some. She will be a small dog full grown. She is good with other dogs, good in a crate and getting used to Rescue life. She has an adorable underbite and her teeth are in great shape. We think her best home would be with someone who has had a Corgi and has the time to finish her training. I would say moderate to active family is best. She could be with kids. We think 8 or older is best. She likes the women at the shelter and warms up more slowly to new people. She readily accepts women. She will be worked with on her leash manners and she has ridden in the car without problems. Her best home would be a more quiet one that she can get more one on one attention. She would be great for an older couple, or single person that wants a nice companion. She doesn’t seem to be the social butterfly but very content with being home. If you think this sounds like a good fit for you, put in an application. She is a wonderful dog and a head turner for sure. Her adoption fee is $400 and transport is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states. This incredibly perfect, tender, loving, short legged, long bodied chocolate princess is Kizzy! She was found living with a person who sadly, was themselves homeless. They were entirely unable to care for her and knew it, and welcomed help to get her a better, more stable life. Fortunately a wonderful new foster home came forward after hearing her story and was happy to take this easy going, loving girl in until she finds her forever home! Kizzy is 2 years and 8 months old, and is just a darling ham of a girl. She is currently 65 lbs, but is a bit on the voluptuous side. Her ideal weight is closer to about 55 lbs. And, it is a short, thicker 55 lbs. She has been to the vet and been given a clean bill of health! She is now current on vaccines, deworming, preventative, and heartworm tested negative! She is also microchipped and spayed! She is officially ready for adoption and can’t wish to find true love! This girl is doing absolutely amazing in her foster home and has shown what an easy going, loving, well behaved girl she is! She is an unbelievably sweet dog, with the most loving heart. She enjoys snuggling and thrives so much with the companionship of loving humans. She is good with other dogs and will play here and there with them, but doesn’t demand a lot of play or activity. She will do great in a home with or without other dogs. She finds happiness both ways, her main goal is loving humans who will snuggle her on the sofa, take her for walks, car rides, and give her the cheerful, happy life she has always longed for. She has great house manners and reliably goes potty outside. She also knows sit and paw. She does love to play with toys and stuffies, and is a happy, fun loving, but also easy going, pretty relaxed wonderful companion. She has the most adorable build and sweet, friendly smile. She will love to accompany you anywhere you’d like to go, but she’s also happy relaxing at the house and just enjoying the good life of snuggles. She is a very easy girl to love and care for. She has such a grateful spirit and has so much to offer her new home.
