Story
Sadie was surrendered at the shelter through no fault of her own. As we’ve gotten to know Sadie better, we’ve learned she’s not your typical laid-back, cuddly corgi. Sadie is a very driven, active girl who thrives with structure, routine, and having something to keep her busy. She is incredibly smart, confident, vocal, and full of classic corgi personality. If you’ve ever met a corgi and thought “this dog definitely has opinions,” Sadie would agree 😅 Sadie is looking for: • A confident owner who can continue her training and provide clear boundaries • A fenced yard • A job, activity, or consistent mental stimulation • A single family home with no shared walls because this girl loves to chat 😅 • An only-pet home with no other dogs and no cats • An adult-only home with no kids The good news? Sadie is crate trained and doing well working on her leash skills. She’s incredibly smart and enjoys learning, she just needs the right person to help her continue building confidence and skills. Sadie is not for a first-time dog owner or someone looking for an easygoing couch potato. She will do best with someone who appreciates a dog with big energy in a short-legged package. For the right person, Sadie is going to be a fun, loyal, entertaining companion with lots of personality.

Story
Meet Applebee’s Bacon Bourbon Sliders aka Baconator aka Kevin Bacon, or sometimes just Kevin. Kevin Bacon is a handsome 1 year old Corgi with a big personality and an even bigger heart. This adorable boy happens to be deaf, but don’t tell Kevin that he’s any different, he approaches life with enthusiasm, curiosity, and plenty of puppy charm. Kevin is settling nicely into foster care and enjoys spending time outdoors playing ball. Whether he’s racing after a toy or deciding that bringing it back is optional, he keeps everyone entertained with his goofy antics. He also loves a good case of the zoomies, happily running laps around the yard before returning for some well earned attention and affection. Like many young dogs, Kevin is still learning the ropes. He’s making progress with potty training and is working on building confidence when his people move out of sight. Sometimes Kevin expresses his opinions with a few enthusiastic bark complaints when he knows his humans are nearby but can’t see them. His foster family is helping him learn that being alone for short periods is okay by rewarding calm behavior and giving him time to adjust. Each day, he settles a little more quickly and continues to gain confidence. Because Kevin is deaf, his future family will need to understand the unique needs of a deaf dog. Deaf dogs learn through visual cues, hand signals, consistency, and positive reinforcement. They require secure fencing or leash walks since they cannot hear approaching dangers or recall commands from a distance. In return, deaf dogs often form incredibly strong bonds with their people and are just as capable of learning and thriving as any hearing dog. Kevin is a sweet, playful young boy who is looking for a patient family willing to continue his training and help him grow into the amazing dog he’s destined to be. If you’re ready for a loyal companion who will keep you smiling with his puppy antics and loving nature, Kevin Bacon may be the perfect addition to your family. Kevin may not hear your voice, but he’s ready to listen with his heart. ❤️ Kevin is being fostered in Queensbury, NY Please fill out an application on our website: www.sjcorgirescue.org/adopt

🌶️ Meet Chili’s Baby Back Ribs 🌶️ Chili is a handsome 1 year old deaf Corgi who proves every day that being deaf doesn’t slow him down one bit! This happy go lucky boy embraces life with enthusiasm and curiosity, always ready to explore the world around him. Chili is a friendly, affectionate pup who loves attention and happily soaks up all the pets and cuddles you have to offer. One of his favorite activities is exploring the backyard, where he can investigate new sights, smells, and adventures at his own pace. He enjoys the company of other dogs and would do well with canine friends who are welcoming and playful. Chili also doesn’t mind respectful children who understand how to interact gently with dogs. One thing that makes Chili unique is how little bothers him. Story
●Rescue Story Diah was rescued from the euthanasia list at "Jeongeup City Shelter" in South Korea. Thanks to timely intervention, she was given a second chance at life and moved into a foster home, where she has been able to show her true personality in a safe and loving environment. ●Temperament & Behavior Diah is a very people-loving dog. She is comfortable even with strangers touching her and often approaches first, asking for affection. As soon as someone pets her, she happily rolls onto her back, inviting more love and belly rubs. She gets along well with other dogs and can live in a multi-dog household. While she may feel a bit overwhelmed by dogs that play very roughly, once she has time to get to know them, she plays happily with dogs of all sizes—running, playing, and engaging in gentle wrestling. Her compatibility with cats has not yet been tested. ●Walking & Daily Life At first, Diah seemed a bit timid on walks, but with consistent leash training she has learned to walk nicely while matching her handler’s pace. Loud noises or passing cars may briefly startle her, causing her to pause, but if given a moment to calmly wait, she regains confidence and continues walking, sniffing around and enjoying her surroundings. She has no food allergies, is not a picky eater, and eats well. Her shedding level is moderate, about 5 out of 10. ●Habits & Training Diah uses indoor pee pads about 80% of the time and goes potty outdoors about 20% of the time. She tolerates baths and brushing well and remains calm during grooming. She does not show separation anxiety and is comfortable staying alone. She rarely barks, only giving a short bark occasionally at the doorbell. She rides extremely well in the car with no motion sickness. When placed in a car seat, she calmly lies down, naps, watches people, or looks out the window. ●Likes & Personality Diah loves playing with toys and engaging in gentle play. She is currently living in a foster home. ●Personality (Three Words): Perfect, affectionate, and easygoing.
