Story
We're thrilled to welcome the newest little lady, Bella! When we saw a plea to rescue Bella from an overcrowded inner city shelter we knew we had to make it happen, as she wasn't doing well. Bella is a middle aged, pittie mix and what she's mixed with is anyone's guess! Corgi? Bassett hound? Dachshund? Definitely something with short legs! She's the ultimate low rider, with her creamy brown coat, big ears and adorable bunny hop-run. She has a calm, sweet temperament jumping up lightly to give hugs. Bella is as snug as a bug in a rug? Her favorite place is cuddled underneath her favorite blanket! So what if it’s June??? This girl knows how to get comfy. When it comes to being cute and adorable Bella understands the assignment. She enjoys short walks, quick zoomies in the yard, peanut butter treats and of course her blankie! She’s a low maintenance gal and doesn’t mind being your couch buddy. A ride in the car or a trip to a local brewery are good with her too as long as she’s with her people. Bella is ok around other dogs but prefers not to share a home with them, she wants her family allllll to herself. We think she’ll give more than enough love for one dog.? If you love the low riders and think Bella could fit into your lifestyle please fill out an application at pittiesandpals.com

Story
Meet Goldie, a 2-year-old Corgi and Retriever mix. She has reached her mature weight of around 30 pounds and wears a medium-length gold and white coat. Goldie gets along wonderfully with both dogs and cats, making her the perfect companion for a home with pets already in the household. This short cutie also walks very well on a leash and loves to play. Adopt Goldie and let her fill your life with love and laughter! (ME, 9/1/24) **It is rare that we know with certainty the ages or mixes that make up our dogs, but we do our best to be as accurate as possible based upon our experience. ** Adoption fee: $395 covers quarantine, shots, worming, medical records, spaying/neutering, microchip, and an Alabama State Health Certificate. Transport, if needed is $160. We consider the transport to be of great importance and, as such, take particular care of the dogs during the trip. We make every effort to arrive with healthy and minimally stressed dogs.September 16, 2024, 12:54 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Ada! Ada is a sensitive soul with a sad story. Ada had a home, but no love. She was originally adopted as a puppy and once she had a litter, her family dumped her a a kill shelter as she was no longer 'useful' to them. Ada can be shy with new people, but once she warms up to you, she is yours forever and becomes the most loving wiggle butt! She is so affectionate and she just LOVES to play! We are unsure what her mix is, but she appears to have Corgi in her.  She weighs in at about 20 lbs. and walks well on a leash. Our volunteers have had her on outings, and she has been very well behaved. Ada plays well with other dogs once she has been properly introduced, but she would like to be the love of your life, and the only four-legged family member at home. She is ready to meet her forever family! If you are interested in meeting Ada and/or our other adoptable pets, please complete an application at save.rescuegroups.org/forms/Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 15, 2024, 3:00 pm
