Story
Chelsea is a 3-year-old female Corgi Mix. She weighs 15 lbs. Chelsea is sweet and timid but, with time and patience, and a quiet home will blossom into a wonderful companion.
Despite her traumatic past, she is sweet. Rescued from a horrific, illegal puppy mill in Busan, South Korea, in October, Chelsea is one of almost 600 dogs saved through the efforts of Korean K9 Rescue and our incredible partners. Adopting a puppy mill survivor like Chelsea comes with unique rewards and responsibilities. She has shown incredible resilience and a bright spirit, but dogs from these backgrounds often require patience and time to decompress and adjust to a loving home. While Chelsea is currently healthy and has received excellent veterinary care, potential adopters should be aware of the genetic predispositions common in dogs from such environments, including IVDD, luxating patellas, heart conditions, dental issues, etc, that could arise later in life, and prepare both financially and mentally to help Chelsea live every day happy and long life.
