Story
Meet Kali—a lovable, loyal little lady with a big personality! Kali is the perfect blend of curious and cuddly. She’s an explorer at heart and enjoys checking out her surroundings, but she’s no troublemaker—Kali does great at home even when left alone. True to her dachshund roots, she’s got a strong prey drive and loves chasing birds or the occasional feral cat, so she’ll do best in a home without small pets like cats, guinea pigs, or reptiles. Kali lives for park days and adores playing chase with her doggie pals. She’d thrive in a home with a secure backyard (she is part dachshund, after all—digging is in her DNA!) and would love a furry sibling to hang out with while her humans are away. She gets along well with other dogs her size. Kali isn’t shy about expressing herself—if she thinks she’s missing out on the fun, she’ll let you know with a few vocal opinions. :) When the day winds down, Kali transforms into a total cuddlebug. She’ll gently nuzzle in close, letting you know she’s ready for some cozy snuggles and a little extra love. This sweet girl is ready to bring joy, adventure, and a whole lot of love to her forever family. EMAIL ADOPT@VALLEYDOGS.ORG to meet Kali and see for yourself what a gem she is!

Story
Dolly Pawrton may be only 8 pounds, but this little lady has a heart as big as Texas! This 1-year-old Chiweenie is cute, curious, and a little cautious when meeting someone new—but give her a moment, and she'll melt right into your heart (and probably your lap!). Dolly is good with kids, dogs, and cats, enjoys car rides, and is already leash and crate trained. She's looking for someone who wants a devoted little sidekick for everyday adventures, cozy evenings, and plenty of lap time. If your life could use a little more country charm and a whole lot of love, Dolly Pawrton is ready to be your girl! All Cooper’s Chance adoptable pets are spayed/neutered, UTD on shots, heartworm negative, de-wormed, micro chipped and housebroken. Story
Meet SLINKY aka SLINKS! Some dogs seem to get all the lucky breaks. Sadly, this sweet boy hasn't been one of them. He first ended up at animal control and was scheduled for euthanasia when no one came for him. He was eventually adopted, but instead of finding the loving home he deserved, he experienced severe neglect and abuse. Much of his trauma involved being kenneled for long periods, so he is looking for a home where he can finally leave that part of his life behind. Despite everything he's been through, he has the sweetest heart. He is shy when meeting new people and needs a little time to know he's safe, but once you earn his trust, his personality shines. He'll do happy zoomies, throw his butt in the air for scratches, roll over for belly rubs, and happily spend his day curled up at your feet or even in your lap while you work. He's the kind of dog who simply wants to be near his person. He has wonderful house manners and does not need to be kenneled. In fact, his ideal home is one where he can freely move about the house and relax wherever he feels comfortable. He enjoys walks, likes to play, but is just as content spending a quiet evening by your side. His perfect family will be patient, understanding, and willing to let him settle in at his own pace. A calm home with few visitors would help him continue building confidence. While he currently lives with children and has done well, a home without young children is recommended so he can continue feeling safe and secure. This boy has spent far too much of his life wondering if people would let him down. Now all he needs is someone willing to show him that home is a place where he will always be loved, protected, and never have to be afraid again. If you're looking for a loyal companion who will love you with his whole heart, he just might be the one you've been waiting for. Story
If an award existed for “Saddest Puppy Eyes,” Elijah would take the prize hands down. However, this adorable 11-year-old does not have a sad bone in his little body! Elijah is best described as playful and curious with just the right amount of mischievousness to endear him to all that he meets. He loves to be with his people and we mean REALLY be with his people. Look up the definition of a “Cuddle Bug” and you may very well find a pic of Elijah. This sweet boy prefers to be pressed up against his loved ones whether it’s relaxing on the couch or under the covers at night. And what better way to come home than being greeted by a Doxie doing the “zoomies” with his favorite toy in his mouth! Elijah would thrive in a home where his people can give him all the love and attention that he craves. He has exemplary leash skills and loves his walks where he can explore all the world has to offer. Elijah enjoys his other canine buddies in his foster home so having a companion for him would suit him just fine. It’s all about those beautiful brown eyes for Elijah and with one look you will find him absolutely irresistible!
