Once you have filled out the online Adoption Consultation Form, just come in and see us (or come and see us and fill out the consultation form upon arrival)!Please note that ALL dogs and cats are available to the first home that meets the dog or cat that we feel is a good match. In the event there is more than one home interested in the same animal, a lottery may be held that will include all families that are at our adoption center at the time we open the day the animal becomes available. In order to help make the best match, we do want all family members (dogs and humans) to meet any potential new family member. Our adoption center hours are: Closed Sunday/Monday; Tuesday 10a-2p, Wednesday 3p-7p, Thursday 3p-7p, Friday 10a-2p, Saturday 10a-4p. We are located at 952 W Melody Avenue in Gilbert (zip code 85233).All animals are altered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, licensed (dogs). Cats tested for FELV/FIV. Dogs tested for Heartworm. All animals are available to the first family that is a good match, and if we have more than one animal who is a good match, there will be a lottery for all matches. Note that families must have come in to our adoption center and spoken with an adoption counselor prior to any lottery (when we have lotteries, they usually occur on Saturday mornings).

Honey is half of an inseparable duo with her beloved Bear. These two came to us through an owner surrender and must be adopted together, as their bond is truly something special. Honey is a friendly, happy, easygoing girl who adores her people. She’s the type who needs to sit right next to you, follow you from room to room, and soak up every bit of attention she can get. She’s fully house trained, leash trained, doggie-door trained, and overall just an easy dog to have around. At night, Honey snuggles up with Bear on the couch, using the ramp like a champ, and she’ll happily make sure your mornings start promptly at 6 a.m. Honey does have leash reactivity that will require ongoing training and management. She can have strong reactions to other dogs while on leash, so her adopter must be committed to working with her to help her feel more confident and improve her behavior over time. She enjoys toys and will happily show off her playful side. She rides well in the car but would very much prefer to be on your lap, so that’s another area where some gentle consistency will help her adjust. Charlie came to us from the county shelter as an unclaimed stray, and honestly, whoever lost him has no idea what they're missing. He's a shadow, a lap dog, a dedicated sleeping partner, and once he decides you're his person — you are his person, full stop. He just needs a little time to get there. At first Charlie is shy and will let you (and everyone nearby) know he's uncertain with some enthusiastic barking. But give him time to settle and he transforms into one of the sweetest, most devoted companions around. He's house trained on a schedule, great on a leash, ramp trained, rides beautifully in the car, and genuinely loves going places — walks, errands, adventures — he's a willing co-pilot wherever you're headed. He's also food motivated, which makes training a real pleasure. A heads up going in: once Charlie feels at home, he takes his role as house protector pretty seriously — sometimes a little too seriously. We've been working on it with training and he's making real progress, but his new family will need to stay consistent and continue what we've started. It's manageable, and absolutely worth it, but it does mean Charlie does best in a calm, quiet home without a lot of visitors or unpredictable comings and goings. Charlie can do well with or without a dog sibling, as long as introductions are done properly. He's good with older kids and has some separation anxiety, so someone home more often than not is ideal. If you're looking for a loyal, loving companion who'll go wherever you go and love you fiercely for it, Charlie is ready to be your guy.
