Story
Hi, I’m Ace, and I’m looking for a loving family to adopt me. I’m a mixed breed puppy, but I don’t know what kind of breeds I have in me, the best guess is some dachshund, some jack russel terrier, some chihuahua and probably a couple of other as well. Maybe you can help me figure it out. I have short hair and I don’t shed much, so you won’t have to worry about grooming me too often. I’m about 4 months old, and I’m not very big. I think I’ll stay small even when I grow up. I’m very friendly and playful, and I get along well with other dogs, big and small. I’ve never met a cat before, but I’m sure I can learn to be friends with them too. I love people, and I don’t mind if you have children or not. I just want someone to cuddle with and play with. I’m very smart and eager to learn new things. I haven’t had much experience living in a house, so I’ll need some training on how to behave indoors. I’ll also need to learn how to walk on a leash and other manners. But I promise I’ll be a good boy and listen to you. I’m healthy and happy, and I’ve had some of my vaccinations, I was dewormed, I have a microchip so I will never get lost and I went to the vet where I was neutered. I’m ready to go to my new home as soon as you pick me. Will you please give me a chance to be your best friend? I’ll be waiting for you at Central Arizona Animal Rescue. Please come and meet me soon. PLEASE e-mail (do not call) mike@caaronline.org for more information and to set up an appointment to adopt. Do not e-mail us with a request to call you, if you have a question, please ask in the e-mail.   All dog are adopted on a first come - first served basis. Central Arizona Animal Rescue is a not-for-profit 501(c)3 corporation. We are located in San Tan Valley, AZ. If you have other dogs already, you must bring them for introduction prior to adoption. Story
Meet Chewy. For a 6 month old puppy, he is a great baby. He has a great temperament and can be chill and a couch potato one moment and then a playful young man the next. He gets along with all dogs big and small and loves children. He goes out of his way to interact with my kids and they love him. Please adopt him fast, my for families sake:) Chewy is very much a big dog personality in a small package. He loves toys, balls, playing with the big dogs. Also loves a good walk and has the stamina to walk a long while if desired. Chewy has never met a stranger and is very personable when meeting everyone. He did live in a condo before being turned into the rescue so he was potty pad trained since they didn't have a yard. We have a doggie door at his foster house, but its extra large so he is still working up the courage to go through on his own. He will go through with our help with the flaps. It is starting to click that he goes potty outside when I tell him, but its going to take patience and time for him to switch all the way to going outside. He goes outside on almost every opportunity. I praise him with the same tone and words after an "outdoor potty" and give him a treat to reinforce. He sleeps in a crate even though he would much prefer sleeping in our bed, and is crated when we work. No accidents in the crate. Chewy has been neutered and has all his shots and a microchip. He is just looking for his forever home.
