At West Valley Animal Rescue, we do things a bit differently. While many rescues take days to respond or never reply at all, we move fast. The application (link below) is the first step and helps us confirm that you and your household are a great fit. Once you submit it, text us right away. We’ll review it quickly, and if approved, we can often schedule a same-day adoption appointment so dogs spend less time waiting and more time loved. https://www.westvalleyanimalrescue.com/app 💗 Meet Gladys 💗 Maybe the sweetest tiny puppy you will ever meet. Gladys is an incredibly gentle, loving little girl with the softest nature and a sweetness that melts everyone she meets. She is very small and delicate, so she needs a home that can respect and protect her tiny size while keeping her safe and secure. She came to us from the recent 62-dog home we assisted with, and it is clear she was loved, as she has done well with kids and other dogs. Gladys learned to use puppy pads in her previous home and is now being introduced to a dog door in foster care, and with her tender heart and petite frame, she will be a deeply cherished companion in the right careful home. Gladys’s adoption donation includes her age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, spay, microchip, collar and leash. Apply below to adopt Gladys. We are a foster-based rescue with homes mainly in Goodyear and Buckeye. If approved, you’ll meet a volunteer or foster family at a local pet store we partner with or at a foster home for adoption. The address will be shared once your appointment is scheduled. Breed and age are estimated and not guaranteed. Please see our website’s FAQs for more information.

Alexander is a soft-hearted little dog who came from the 62-dog hoarding situation and is still figuring out that life is safe now. He has a shy, sensitive nature and takes comfort in quiet spaces and gentle voices, but once he feels secure, his sweet personality begins to shine. He enjoys calm companionship, cozy resting spots, and the reassuring presence of people who move at his pace. Alexander does well with other dogs and would likely gain confidence from a calm canine friend. Because he is timid, he is looking for a peaceful, patient home where he can settle in slowly and continue building trust. With kindness and time, Alexander will become a deeply devoted companion to someone who understands gentle souls. Alexander’s adoption donation includes his age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, neuter, microchip, collar and leash. Apply below to adopt Alexander. Story
This is Boone. He is as stubborn as a dog could be. He is somewhat potty trained using door bells, but could use a refreshers. He does not learn well with negative consequences, only positive reinforcement. We are rehoming because he has a tendency to resource guard his food and has attacked my chickens and even killed one. He has never bit anyone, but my worry is that I have small children that are vulnerable to dogs. I have to create a safe environment for everyone in my home and I dont feel its right to keep him in a house that he cant fullhimself. I am requiring that you have no children and that you have had dachshunds before or currently, as I don’t want the chance of him being rehired again. He has lots of energy, he is eager to spend time with you. He is crate trained and does well without a lot of attention, he does not have any type of separation anxiety. He currently is fed a raw diet and we were waiting to get him neutered to let his back mature. Please no breeding
