Nicholas (Nikki) is a beautiful all red Dachshund Mix. He is 8 months old and has beautiful green eyes. He loves people and gets along well with other dogs. He is good with children too. Nikki loves to play and he loves to snuggle and is always willing to settle down with his foster mom for a movie or a good book read. He likes toys to play with and bones to chew. Nikki loves to sun bathe and enjoys running around the yard with his foster friends. He will be a great companion dog and a good friend for another dog in his new home. He is leash trained and is housetrained. Nikki’s home should have a work from home person. Nikki has been neutered, microchipped and is vaccinated. Here is a list of things that should help us answer you in a more timely manner. 1. When you apply please always use the same email address. If we need to look something up later and you used a different email we are often not able to find it. 2. Adopt a Pet and Petfinders ask you to send us an enquiry. This always delays our response. (Why) a. Our biographies are always very detailed. Therefore sending an enquiry asking us to repeat what it says in the biography causes a lot more work and delays our response. b. We are a small non-profit and do not always have the help to answer as many enquiries as we get. c. Again our Biographies are very detailed and if you just click the link near the bottom of their bio you can fill out an application which we will respond to. 3. For the AFC website (scroll down to the bio at the bottom it says (apply to adopt today- click that link) www.animalfriendsconnect.org 4. For Petfinders ( scroll down to the biography then click the adoption link) http://animalfriendsconnect.org/adoption-application-dogs/ 5. For Adopt a Pet (scroll way down past “Ask about me”) you will see the biography and underneath that will be the adoption questionnaire link. Story
Hello, my name is Kobe.  I'm a 2-year-old Chihuahua/Dachshund/Hound mix boy that would love a forever home with you.  My current weight is 26 pounds and I should fully grown.  I am good with children and other dogs. I enjoy playing with my siblings and romping around in the yard with my toys. I  am hoping to get a home soon because I am still a young dog and I have been waiting for my family to find me.  I was rescued off the street with my brother, and have been living with my foster who has other dogs for me to play with, so if you have dogs I will be happy to have new siblings. I am sweet and playful, and you won't regret bringing this face into your life.  You should know that just because I share a name with a famous basketball player, full disclosure - I cannot play basketball.  I mean, I like playing with balls but they are too big to fit in my little mouth.  The video is of me when I was just a baby and a new one of me grown up.If you rent a house you must provide proof with application that you are able to have a dog almost 30 lbs.Applications are available here on the website under ADOPTION.I will come to you neutered and fully vetted. Adoption fee: $475.00  ##1503700##

Story
Meet Black Jack (Blackie)❤️‍🔥🐾 Blackie is a long haired Dachshund mix (maybe Australian Shepherd). He is estimated to be about 7yrs old, 15lbs. Blackie was surrendered to the shelter by his elderly owners who were keeping him in the backyard because they were scared they would trip on him in the house. Blackie starts off by being shy and timid, but when he warms up Blackie is loving, gentle, and loves to be brushed. Matter of fact, Blackie thrives on the love and care that comes with brushing. Another way to win Blackie over is with treats, he loves them!! It will take a calm, quiet environment for Blackie to blossom into the sweet dog he is. Blackie would be great for a single person or family with older kids, who want a mellow companion. Blackie does not know how to walk on a leash and frankly once he trusts you and you become his person/people, Blackie will follow you anywhere. Blackie gets along with cats and mellow dogs.Blackie is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and up to date on his rabies vaccine. If you are interested in meeting Blackie, please fill out an application at www.broketailrescue.org, located under the contact tab.
