Story
Welcome Gracie to CCPAL Foster Program. Gracie is 1.5 years of age and she is a Dachshund dog. She is what we call a high mixed dog. She weighs 11 pounds. She is the momma dog for the pups we are now finding homes for. She is good on a leash, good in a car and potty trained. She is very sweet and as most Dachshunds, she is loyal and a good lap dog. She is getting her vaccines here at the Rescue and will be spayed and ready for her forever home. She would be fine in a home with children. We always like the children to be 10 or older with small dogs. She would need a fenced yard if let outside off leash. She would be fine with a smaller yard. She won’t need mounds of exercise to be happy. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted in Texas or we can work with one of the wonderful adopters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is $400 and transport is $200. We don’t adopt to Rhode Island or to adopters from Massachusetts due to the regulations in these states. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 if you have any questions. Please go to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com with questions. You can get an application online at www.ccpalrescue.org

Story
Hello, my name is Lola! I am a sweet boxer/ dachshund mix. I am approx. 3 years old and weigh about 25-30 lbs. I am very good with kids of all ages and has never met a stranger. I like other non- reactive dogs. I have not met a cat at this time. However, my rescue can cat test upon request! I am also housebroken but cannot be left out of my crate when no one is home because I will chew anything and everything in sight. I am currently eating Purina one but I also love boiled chicken, peas, or sweet potatoes. I do pull on my leash when walked, but, we are working on that. I cant wait to find my forever home! If you have a fenced in yard, that would be awesome because I need a lot of play time! I also love to play with toys! My rescue has made sure that I am UTD, microchipped, on a flea and tick and heartworm pill and spayed. Please reach out if you are interested. Thank you! This animal is being fostered in the South but transport to a location near you is included in your adoption fee. We use Rescue Riders Pet Transport, (www.rescueridersllc.net), the most animal-friendly transport on the road.

Story
Available for adoption is our delicious Mexican dish puppies! These sweet babies are about 12 weeks old and are the gentlest furbabies. Nacho, Tamale, Fajita and Birria are ready to find their forever homes. They have not had an easy life. They grew up under a house, where they had no human interaction. The owners of the home wanted nothing to do with them. A good Samaritan had seen them and offered to help. Over the course of a few days, they were able to get all 4 puppies to safety and in a foster. There are 2 males and 2 females: Tamale – Female – Schnauzer/Dachshund mix – Tri Color – Wirehair – Minimal shedding – 5.5 lbs as of 4/28/25 Fajita – Female – Dachshund/Chi mix – Black/tan – Shorthair – Runt of the litter – 3.0 lbs as of 4/28/25 Nacho – Male – Dachshund/Chi mix – Black/Tan – Short hair – biggest of the litter at 7.5 lbs as of 4/28/25 Birria – Male – Schnauzer/Dachshund mix – Tri Color – Wirehair – Minimal shedding – 5.8 lbs as of 4/28/25 These babies are very timid. They have been fostered with cats and other dogs, and we strongly suggest having another FRIENDLY, confident dog in the home to help them come out of their shell. When you baby talk them or talk sweet to them, they wag their tails and want to trust you, but they just don’t know how yet. They are very gentle babies. Not aggressive at all, just unsure. We do not recommend small/young children with these babies. They are too nervous and loud sounds, too much going on in a household will only cause them to withdraw further. An ideal home for these babies is one that is calm, quieter and very patient. We know with lots of love and time these puppies will thrive. They are just learning what everything is – toys, treats, play time, cuddle time, and love. If you think you have the perfect home for one of these babies, please consider applying to adopt – You can fill out an application at www.pawsitive-impact-animal-rescue.org They are current on vaccinations, dewormed, current on flea/heartworm/tick meds, microchipped and will have a clean bill of health from a veterinarian prior to adoption.

Story
****SPARKLES IS BEING FOSTERED IN BROOKLINE, NH**** Sparkles is a beautiful, rambunctious, outgoing wirehair dachshund mix that has so much love to give. She is approximately 11 lbs and is about 12-14 weeks old. She is VERY long and very short to the ground, so we know she has some sort of dachshund in her. Her wirehair causes for minimal/no shedding, so we believe she could be considered hypoallergenic. This girl has got it all going on. She is beyond friendly, super playful and is a mini energizer bunny. She is currently being fostered with other dogs and cats, and she gets along wonderfully with all of them. While she is not fostered with children, she would do wonderful with them. She will keep children and everyone in the family entertained and laughing for years to come. Sparkles loves to play and loves her toys. She gets the zoomies and will run around the house with toys in her mouth, squeaking them as she goes. She’s more than happy to get the other dogs up and going too. She LOVES other dogs and would thrive in a home with other ones. Sparkles is learning house training and with time, will master it completely. An ideal home for Sparkles would be one that is a little more active as Sparkles enjoys being on the go and exploring new things. She’s one for adventures and seeking out new activities, and would love to go on trails, to dog parks and just wherever her new family will take her. If you think Sparkles is the perfect dog for you, please fill out an application today! You can do so on our website at www.pawsitive-impact-animal-rescue.org Sparkles will be spayed, she is current on vaccinations, current on dewormer, current on heartworm/flea tick meds, microchipped, and has a clean bill of health from a veterinarian.

Story
Meet Meatball, an approximately 1.5 year old doxie/lab mix. He weighs around 30 lbs and is a very unique looking guy.  This pup is a man’s man (though he does like women too!). In his current foster home, he follows the man around the home with every step he takes. He rides well in the car. He is good with other dogs with proper intros (as most dogs are), but we think he would do best in a home without cats - he doesn’t particularly like cats, but doesn’t hurt them either. He’s not been tested around kids, but he’s a precious, friendly guy. He is medically up to date, housebroken, and crate trained. Apply to meet this meatball today! Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs.  We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted.  As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. We believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance. Thank you for your support and understanding! ##2376414##
