Welcome Mutz to CCPAL Rescue. Mutz is a 3-year-old Daug (Dachshund /Pug). He weighs about 12 pounds and is full grown and a nice weight. This dog came from the hoarder or overabundance of dog situation. He has an adorable underbit and has really blossomed at the Rescue. He is a quieter dog and has learned to like to be held. He is definitely a lap companion. He is playful with other dogs and has the sturdy body of the Pug. He would love to be a companion for a person that is retired, partially retired or maybe someone with a household that wants a dog with a lower energy to join in. He would be ok with a smaller condo size yard. He is learning leash manners and getting used to commotion of the Rescue. He hasn’t experienced a lot of different things so he isn’t sure yet but he is really really nice. He is not a big shedding dog. He is fine with nail trims and baths and will make some lucky family a great companion. I would say anyone moderately active would be fine for this dog. He bonds deeply and he warms up with affection nicely. He would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. He is getting vaccinations, neutered and he will be ready for his forever home soon. He is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 400 and transport is $200. This sweet, young boy was found running the streets on his own. He had no collar and no microchip and no owner ever came forward to claim him. He is very friendly and very smart and only 13 pounds. We think he is close to a year old. He loves other dogs, cats kids, horses… He never meets a stranger. He will make a great addition to any family and would really love to have another playful fun dog around. She truly shines as a lap dog and is happiest curled up close to her person, soaking in love and giving it right back. Her energy level is beautifully balanced, not too busy and not too sleepy. Just the right amount of energy, the kind of pup who fits perfectly into your routine. She enjoys getting out for walks (and walks nicely on a leash!) but is just as content relaxing at home snuggled up next you on the couch binge watching your favorite show or movie. She’s dog-friendly and has done great with every dog we have introduced her to. She has met dogs her size and smaller and has also been around dogs twice her size! No matter the size, Meghan has shown to be a polite gentle lady when she meets a dog on leash and shows that same level of gentleness when meeting dogs off leash. She isn’t a super playful girl with other dogs; she prefers calm companionship over rough-and-tumble play. Meghan has the kind of easygoing personality that allows her to thrive in many living situations. She would do very well in an apartment or condo setting, especially with someone who enjoys daily walks and a relaxed routine. Her well-balanced energy level and polite leash manners make her a great neighbor-friendly companion. Located in Tennessee but can be transported to you through Rescue Riders. This girl was brought in with babies when her owner couldn't take care of her. She was not socialized very well so will need some work. She will need a very patient person to get her to come out of her shell. She was kept outside so she has no house manners, nor has she been with cats. She does do well with dogs her size and seems to like to play with them. She deserves a new chance to be a loved dog and companion. She will take a lot of time and investment but deserves a chance!
