She’s doing amazing and making great progress on her journey to find her forever home.   **Chewing Improvement**: We’re still working on the chewing, but she’s adjusting well to her chew toys. **Potty Progress**: Nelly is going in and out to potty regularly, though she sometimes uses a puppy pad if she can't wait. **Yard Adventures**: While she’s still a bit hesitant to come back inside from the yard, she’s getting much better at going out by us! **Growing Affection**: Nelly has started to play more and loves coming up for cuddles when we’re sitting down. She’s a little nervous when we stand, but her curiosity is growing, and she’s starting to explore what we’re up to instead of just scurrying away. **Response to Name**: She’s also beginning to respond well to her name, which is such a wonderful sign! **Excited Greetings**: Nelly is now the first to greet us at the door with tail wags and excitement when we come home—it's the best welcome ever! **Couch Snuggles**: She’s getting big on couch snuggles too!   Nelly is a sweet girl with so much love to give, and I know the perfect family is out there waiting for her. Meet Bethany, 🌸 Meet Your Perfectly Mannered Girl 🌸 If you’ve been searching for a dog with impeccable manners and a heart full of love, look no further—this sweet girl is the total package. She is fully house trained and truly a dream in the home. Let her out to potty, call her name, and she comes right back—no wandering, no nonsense. She has wonderful recall and genuinely wants to please her people. Her personality is just as beautiful as her behavior. She loves everyone she meets and greets you politely—no jumping, just a happy, gentle presence by your side. Whether it’s a quiet evening at home or having company over, she fits right in with ease. Despite a rough start—after being hit by a car and found hiding under a bush—this resilient girl hasn’t let it dim her spirit. She does have a slight “hitch in her giddy up,” but she’s improving every day and it doesn’t slow her down from enjoying life and love. She’s also incredibly trustworthy in the home and can be left loose without worry. No destruction, no stress—just a calm, loyal companion waiting for you to return. He/she is hw ( heartworm) negative, fully vetted, spayed/neutered and microchipped. Please fill out an application at www.northboundrescue.com

Story
Welcome Arty to CCPAL Rescue. Arty is a 2 year old Dashchund/Parsons Jack Russel is our best guess using AI technology. He weighs 25 pounds. This boy is very sweet. He is calm, good with other dogs, relatively quiet and not too vocal. This description doesn’t fit with the breeds mentioned but this is his behavior. He is good with other dogs and very laid back. He has a coarse coat, and it isn’t too much of a shedding dog. He is sturdy enough to be a good walking companion. He would be fine in a smaller yard like a condo yard and would be ok with a moderately active family. He is a gem and he loves humans, despite his previous experience with them. He is kenneled with another small dog that came from the same place and he does well. He will be neutered soon and looking for his forever home. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is $450 and transport to one the areas above is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Online applications at www.ccpalrescue.org See his cute video!!

Story
Welcome Paco to CCPAL Rescue.  Paco is a 10-week-old Dachshund mix.  We think with Chihuahua.  These puppies are small at about 5 pounds right now.  We think they will be 15 or less full grown.  They are good in a playgroup with their siblings. They are getting used to being kenneled and are fine in a car.   Once they bond they bond to a single person and while they can love others in the family, it will be clear who is their person.  They are in Texas at the CCPAL Rescue.  Paco can go with children.  We like all children to be 8 or older.    They were found as strays and pulled from one of the local high kill shelters.  Paco would be best in a home where the person doesn’t work all day everyday.  A puppy needs time to spend being with her humans and they need to be socialized with other people regularly so they become well rounded adult dogs.  Dachshund dogs do best in a home with less steps or levels in the home.  We would love someone that loves this breed.  I love this breed so I know there are those that feel the same about this loyal and loving breed.  They can be adopted locally in Texas or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast.  Her adoption fee is $600 and transport is $200.  Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states. Story
Welcome Mutz to CCPAL Rescue. Mutz is a 3-year-old Daug (Dachshund /Pug). He weighs about 12 pounds and is full grown and a nice weight. This dog came from the hoarder or overabundance of dog situation. He has an adorable underbit and has really blossomed at the Rescue. He is a quieter dog and has learned to like to be held. He is definitely a lap companion. He is playful with other dogs and has the sturdy body of the Pug. He would love to be a companion for a person that is retired, partially retired or maybe someone with a household that wants a dog with a lower energy to join in. He would be ok with a smaller condo size yard. He is learning leash manners and getting used to commotion of the Rescue. He hasn’t experienced a lot of different things so he isn’t sure yet but he is really really nice. He is not a big shedding dog. He is fine with nail trims and baths and will make some lucky family a great companion. I would say anyone moderately active would be fine for this dog. He bonds deeply and he warms up with affection nicely. He would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. He is getting vaccinations, neutered and he will be ready for his forever home soon. He is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 400 and transport is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
This sweet, young boy was found running the streets on his own. He had no collar and no microchip and no owner ever came forward to claim him. He is very friendly and very smart and only 13 pounds. We think he is close to a year old. He loves other dogs, cats kids, horses… He never meets a stranger. He will make a great addition to any family and would really love to have another playful fun dog around. If you are Interested In Adopting, please visit Funnyfarmpets.org where you can read all about our rescue and how the adoption process works and find the link to submit the application to adopt. He is fostered in Tennessee And will travel once his vetting is complete in a couple of weeks. His adoption fee is $399 and if he has to be transported out of Tennessee, there will be an additional $200 fee.
