Story
This sweet, young boy was found running the streets on his own. He had no collar and no microchip and no owner ever came forward to claim him. He is very friendly and very smart and only 13 pounds. We think he is close to a year old. He loves other dogs, cats kids, horses… He never meets a stranger. He will make a great addition to any family and would really love to have another playful fun dog around. If you are Interested In Adopting, please visit Funnyfarmpets.org where you can read all about our rescue and how the adoption process works and find the link to submit the application to adopt. He is fostered in Tennessee And will travel once his vetting is complete in a couple of weeks. His adoption fee is $399 and if he has to be transported out of Tennessee, there will be an additional $200 fee.

Story
Uggs is about 12 weeks old and ready for a home to call his very own! He's very social and fun and will be a wonderful addition to any loving home. This puppy Is spayed/neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, treated for all of the intestinal parasites, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. Because intestinal parasites are cyclical, your puppy may need additional treatment once you get him/her home. This is common and nothing to be alarmed about. Puppies and dogs need to be treated periodically for parasites throughout their entire lives. The adoption fee is $550 if your adoption is prepaid prior to your pup's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged on puppies that are adopted at an event, or foster home. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with CT HB 5368. WANT TO MEET OUR DOGS IN PERSON? Check the Events tab on cprdogs.com for all weekend adoption event info. The majority of the dogs marked as 'meet me' will be there to see you! More and more of our adopters are having fun with DNA tests on their pups. You might ask yourself why our breed guess is varying degrees of difference from the DNA tests. Most of our puppies are rescued from high kill shelters or other abandonment situations and we have no info on parents. When we rescue puppies that have no background info, we make our very best educated guess as to breed mix and age. Our guesstimate comes from years and years and years of animal welfare work and training, but our guesses won't always agree with your vet, your neighbor, your DNA test, etc. The most important thing to know about your puppy's breed mix is that most likely he/she is a Super Lovable Mutt made of many many many different breeds. If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at the Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05. TO APPLY PLEASE GO TO www.cprdogs.com. If your application was successfully submitted you will get an automatically generated confirmation email. Please DO NOT USE the ADOPTAPET "CONTACT THIS RESCUE GROUP" form below or you may not hear from us as these often end up in spam or bouncing back. After receipt of your application, an adoption counselor will then be in touch to answer your questions about this pup, discuss the adoption process and get the ball rolling! If you have not heard from one of our volunteers within 5 days of submitting your application, please email mollibo@gmail.com.

Story
Minnie (Minerva) Bio   Please ensure you understand and can meet the needs of this dog before applying.   • Energy level: medium • Potty training: in progress/pads • Fenced yard: not needed • Shared walls: suitable • People: calm adults and older children • Dogs: all • Other: Minnie has a heart condition that requires monitoring but no medication at this time; mild IVDD, special diet for pancreatitis   Overview   Looking for a gentle companion who’ll stick by your side? Minnie the senior dachshund might be the velcro pup you’ve been looking for.   Minnie is a sweet, determined little lady with black and white coloring. Her estimated age is about 11 years old and weighs just under 8 lbs. She was found wandering alone in a parking lot in Little Havana, and a kind person got her checked out by a vet and groomed before she came to Little Paws.   Environment   Minnie is a calm, easygoing girl who loves her daily walks and gets excited the moment she hears the leash. She’s still learning the pee pad routine and does well most of the time, though she has occasional accidents. She sleeps peacefully through the night and can be left alone for short periods—she’ll pace a bit, relax on the couch, then pace again. Crate training hasn’t been needed as she’s been comfortable and well-behaved without one.   Pets & People   Minnie is gentle and enjoys being around people, especially when there’s quiet affection involved. She’s very easygoing with strangers, both at home and in public. She gets along beautifully with other dogs and even likes to share a bed with her foster sister. But fair warning: she’s very food-motivated and can be a bit of a food thief if given the chance!   Health   Minnie has Stage B1 (mild) mitral regurgitation secondary to chronic valvular disease. She doesn’t require any heart medication at this time, but she will need periodic re-checks with her veterinarian to ensure her condition remains stable. She has received the care of a neurologist for mild IVDD, where she was prescribed meds and rest. Minnie eats a special low fat diet to control pancreatitis.   Location   Minnie is available for adoption from Doral, FL and she’s very calm in the car, usually falling asleep during rides. Please email cory_wg@hotmail.com with any questions or complete an adoption application at the button above. The adoption fee for Minnie is $250.00. Story
Overview   Meet Shadow, a handsome 5-year-old, 14 lb miniature dachshund with a soulful gaze and a deep devotion to his person. Shadow came to Little Paws Dachshund Rescue after his owner made the difficult decision to surrender him in hopes of finding him the right home. Shadow is a classic “velcro doxie” — loyal, affectionate, and happiest when curled up on the couch beside his human. He’s not a big walker and prefers closeness over adventure, often standing gently on his person just to be near. Once he bonds, Shadow is incredibly loving and thrives on companionship.   Environment   Shadow does well in a calm, predictable environment with structure and routine. He sleeps comfortably in a kennel overnight and settles best when distractions are limited. While he enjoys short walks, he is still gaining confidence outdoors and currently does best with a combination of potty pads and outdoor breaks. He has begun to sniff and explore more outside and has shown improvement with regular exposure. Shadow can be vocal when people pass in hallways or past his home and may bark when unfamiliar individuals enter his space. He shows some anxiety when his person prepares to leave, so confidence building exercises would be ideal for him. He has also shown great progress in meeting and being around new people. While his initial reaction is reactivity, with an appropriate introduction along with treats he will ultimately end up in their lap too. He enjoys playtime and has been known to get the zoomie, and he recently started playing with his foster dog sibling, which is a great sign that his confidence is growing.   Pets & People   Shadow is best suited for an adult-only home. He can be reactive to unfamiliar people, especially when surprised or when they enter his space, and he will communicate discomfort by barking or posturing. Because of this, he needs an adopter who understands canine body language and is comfortable managing introductions and advocating for his space. With other dogs, Shadow does well and has shown positive social behavior, especially when following the lead of calm, confident dogs. He would be happy as an only dog or in a home with another friendly dog. Shadow is extremely affectionate with his person and bonds deeply. He wants to be close, cuddled, and included — once trust is built, his loyalty truly shines.   Health   Shadow is generally healthy and has recently started fluoxetine to help manage reactivity and anxiety as he continues to adjust and build confidence. He has no other known health concerns at this time. Continued positive-reinforcement training and consistent routines will help him thrive.   Location   Shadow is available for adoption from Edgewater, NJ. Please email jemmaallenny@gmail.com  with any questions or complete an adoption application at the button above. The adoption fee for Shadow is $375Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 15, 2025, 5:57 pm

APPLY FOR BARON Let us introduce you to Baron!     Baron is a mix of Bassett Hound and Great Pyrenees. With a birthday estimated to be on June 19th, this handsome pup comes to you neutered, microchipped, and fully vaccinated, ready for a loving forever home.     Baron's journey hasn't been the easiest. He was discovered wandering on the streets with his mom and littermates, but, sadly, not all of them made it. Upon arriving at the rescue, Baron was grappling with a broken leg, a likely result of a hit and run. It was a tough start for this sweet boy, but Baron proved to be a remarkable trooper. With the right care and attention, he made a full recovery, showcasing his resilient spirit and unwavering will to thrive.     Now, Baron is blossoming more than ever. His playful personality is starting to shine as he explores the world around him, bouncing around with enthusiasm. While he’s still getting the hang of all his puppy basics, don’t let that fool you because he has a wonderfully sociable nature!
