We can only save them when space is available or have an adopter. Meet AMOS and BUCKY they went into a very rural out door shelter💔💔 at no fault of theirs. BUCKY is 20 lbs 3 years old and AMOS is 18 months old 20 lbs. they can be adopted together or separately. Both are fully vetted and microchipped, dog friendly. These two are adorable low riders. DOB 12-7-2024 Wolfie is a gorgeous Red and White Long Hair! This beautiful boy loves everyone, likes to play with toys and his friends. He is neutered, heartworm negative and has received a Proheart6 preventative injection, up to date on shots and is now looking for a loving home. His adoption fee is 900.00 and his transport fee is 165.00. HEARTS is our transport, they run every 2 weeks. It's the best transport and the only one we will use. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an online adoption application. You can find a copy of that application here. We sometimes receive a lot of interest on an animal and can't always reply to each email in a timely manner. An application does not obligate you to adopt from us, but it does show that you are serious about the adoption process. Please remember we are all volunteers. After you submit your application please allow a few days for a volunteer to review your application. During this time your vet reference will be checked and a volunteer with determine if it is the best match for you and the animal. Applications are not approved on a first come, first serve basis. We match up the best home for the animal, so even if the pet has other applications, this does not mean he/she will be adopted to that home. Once your application has been approved a volunteer with contact you to set up a phone interview. This is the perfect time for you to ask any questions you have about the adoption process and the animal you are interested in.

Meet Stewie! This very cute weiner mix loves hanging out with his big dog friends! Stewie is a cuddly and loveable 6-year-old. He currently lives in Quincy with his foster dad and foster sibs. He has polite leash manners and enjoys pack walks. After settling into a new environment, help him enjoy your friends and family by giving him proper introductions and time to get to know people. Stewie is healthy, neutered, potty-trained, and has up-to-date shots. He would enjoy a compatible canine sibling or two in his new home as well as continued walks. He’s spent a short time with a cat, and though it worked out well he really doesn’t have enough experience to say he’d be a good match for them. With his foster he has no issues around other dogs and people. He needs a new home because he developed serious guarding over his original adopter and is reactive as a result. Stewie needs an adopter who is confident, comfortable, and experienced with dogs. to prevent any bad habits from returning.

Toast may be 10 years old, but don’t let her age fool you—this little Dachshund/Beagle mix still has plenty of spunk, personality, and opinions!Toast recently went through quite a lot. She had a full-mouth dental, was spayed, and had several mammary masses removed. Unfortunately, the masses were malignant, and because of her cancer diagnosis, Toast is now looking for a special hospice home where she can spend her time surrounded by comfort, love, and all the little things that make a dog happy.And Toast has made it very clear that she would prefer to be the only dog in the household. She doesn`t particularly enjoy sharing her space with other canine roommates, and honestly, at this stage of life, we think she deserves to be a little spoiled. What Toast does want is a person of her very own. Someone who will give her a cozy bed, tasty snacks, gentle companionship, and plenty of attention. She may be a senior, but she still has a playful, lively spirit and isn`t ready to sit quietly on the sidelines! She love, Love, LOVES her walks and would really like to live with someone who is home a lot and loves to curl up early at night.Toast`s hospice family will need to be comfortable monitoring her quality of life and working with their veterinarian as her needs change. Hospice isn`t about giving up—it`s about making sure Toast is comfortable, loved, and able to enjoy her good days for as long as possible.
