This adorable little lad will dazzle and delight you with his goofy antics and fun-loving personality. His hobbies include exploring, chew toys, and playing with tennis balls.Theo is happy-go-lucky and plays well with everyone – dogs, kids, you name it. And although he’s never met on a cat, this affable fella would likely win them over too (after a proper introduction, of course). While older kids are no problem, Theo is still a teething puppy and should be monitored with little ones. Otherwise, he’s the perfect addition to any home ready for a puppy.Theo is a curious and clever pup. He is comfortable with a crate and struts his stuff like a rockstar on the leash. He's almost completely house-trained and just needs patience and a consistent schedule to get him over the finish line. Ready to explore the world with an adorable pup? Theo’s your guy! Please Note: All dogs currently available for adoption are posted on our website. If you cannot find a particular dog on our website, he/she may be on a temporary foster hold. Story
Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VTGood with dogs: YesGood with cats: Unknown, likely yesGood with kids: NoCrate trained: MostlyHouse Trained: Working on itLenny is a gentle, happy soul! This playful sweetheart has a special dance he busts out every time his humans walk through the door—it’s like a welcome party every time you come home! He absolutely adores other dogs and would be living his best life if he had a furry companion to spend his days with.Lenny is still learning how to trust people and can be very timid at first. Being a peanut, he’s afraid of heights and does not enjoy being picked up. There’s not an aggressive bone in his body, but he’s definitely a squirmy worm when he wants to escape a cuddle! He needs someone who respects his need for personal space and understands that he can be a total introvert who prefers affection on his own terms.Lenny’s a very shy guy and for that reason, a home with kids is not recommended. A patient, understanding person/ couple/ family with older kids that can truly appreciate Lenny’s quirky ways are the ideal adopters for this adorable Doxie. Lenny is extremely comfortable in the presence of other dogs and seeks out their companionship and wouldn’t mind sharing his space with some savvy cats who can handle his shenanigans.Lenny’s made huge strides since entering foster care, but let’s be honest - accidents do happen, so a solid routine will keep him feeling secure. He does wear a belly band while in the house to help prevent marking.Sure, Lenny has a few quirky habits, but he’s a total lovebug and will shine bright in the right home. Please Note: All dogs currently available for adoption are posted on our website. She loves to snuggle in a lap or even better, under the covers on someone's bed, but she is off like a shot to play with her dog friends or to check out what the neighbors are doing.Apple Fall is house trained and good with all sizes of dogs, but will definitely chase cats. She will eat anything and has been known to turn over a wastebasket just in case there is any food in there. She can entertain herself with toys, but doesn't fight anyone over them. She has not been around kids while in her foster home, but would most likely be fine with them.Apple Fall would be fine as an only dog getting all the attention, or in a home with others. She is gentle enough for a senior citizen or a small child, but lively enough to join in with the activities of a couple or a family with older children. She will make someone a wonderful pet! Please Note: All dogs currently available for adoption are posted on our website. Story
This little pretty chocolate dappled girl is called Mazie and goodness what a cracker jack she is.  Don’t for minute let those green eyes and chocolate marbled coat fool you to think she is gentle or easy.  She is the CEO of dogs and will run the show at your house if given the chance.  Mazie is 30 pounds and 9 months old.  She is a breed mix of Dachshund and Basset Hound we are told.  Her pics make her look big but she is a “tiny but mighty” little girl.  Mazie is not a fan of any other female dogs in her life or around her.  We don’t know where that came from but the dislike is there so we say…don’t ignore the warning.  She is great with big male dogs, not good with other small dogs or cats, but loves people deeply and wants to be around them.  She needs a fenced yard because she is a runner as most Dachshunds can be and she needs to be able to run and play and get her energy out daily.  Older children would be better for her and she is crate trained, 90% housebroken and she adores going for walks; a very good girl on a leash we can say.  She is beautiful but a “tad” bit complicated, which is why we have outlined the Likes and Dislikes of this girl to a TEE!  We want the right and perfect home and there are lots out there that can give her that.  Tiny but Mighty little Mazie is ready for a home NOW!  Please email us at Critter Cavalry Rescue : ccrnewengland@gmail.com  Tell us where you live when you email asking for information and an application. PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.November 4, 2024, 11:48 pm
