Scrappy’s a 5yo 17lb Doxy mix. He’s calm dog and kid friendly. He’s housebroken, good in a secure fenced in yards and/or going on harness leashed walks. He’s loves calm dogs, playing with toys, cuddling with his people and just being with them. Scrappy’s foster requires a home where someone is home often, so not to be left for long periods of time, allow him on furniture to snuggle and gets tons of attention. If your home DOES NOT meet these requirement’s please DO NOT put an application in. We will not call anyone whose home does not meet the needed requirements. Also, we will be concentrating on local to foster applications 1st since home checks and meets with all humans and animals in home is needed at meet. Our fosters are all volunteers so aren’t always able to travel too far. Scrappy as all dogs should have at least 2 weeks in their new home with just their people who live in the home and to not have people over for at least 2 weeks. Dogs need time to settle in and adjust to their new people and environment first so they can learn to trust them first. Scrappy’s neutered, vaccinated, hw negative and microchipped. An Alabama shelter stray, she is shy at first, needs time to warm up, then is an adoring best friend to her people, loves being the center of attention, being very close to her person.  Eden is just about all doxie -- her legs a little longer; her ear goes up and down.. An active youngster, she really likes to play with other dogs, needs an energetic playful doggie buddy her size and a fenced yard in her forever home. A darling duo for sure, Karla Ku and Katy Ku would like a forever home together with humans who have lots of love and a little patience! Karla, 9 months, 6 pounds; Katy, 4 years, 10 pounds, were breeder releases to rescue. Both are shy at first, wary of strangers. Neither has any aggression. Both are extremely sweet, gentle. Karla is very much a pup, who loves to play. She is spunky, funny in the pack. Most of her left front paw is missing, chewed by her mother from the anxiety caused by being a breeding mama. Karla is a tiny girl, who has adapted well, does everything all dogs with 4 paws do. Katy is a love, more timid, scared of new people, places. Once she trusts, she's very affectionate, wants to be close to her person. She likes to explore in the yard, run with Karla and do lots of cuddling. Both are learning about potty habits, will need to continue. Neither walks on a leash yet; require a securely fenced yard. If you have the time for 2 precious doxie girls, these are special indeed.
