True to his name, Garnet is a true gem.   Garnet is sweet, fluffy, daschund-chi mix, currently 5 months old and will most likely not be bigger than 15-18 pounds when fully grown. Garnet loves to play with his toys and the other small dogs in his foster home, he is not a fan of cats. He is crate trained, good on leash and good with kids. Handsome pawsome sweetheart Gimlet!! Welcome Gimlet to our rescue sadly his old owner abandoned and left Gimlet locked in a shed on their property without food or water to die. Thankfully a very kind neighbors heard him and set him free and asked for our help! Gimlet is 4 years old, male. Intake day weighed 14 pounds, desperately needed fluids, we did bloodwork and thank our woofin puppy stars he was good other than needing fluids and lots of tlc!! 🥰🐾🐾🥰 Gimlet has had all his parvo/dhlpc combo, bordetella), neutered , hw negative, is on monthly heartworm prevention and flea and tick meds and is ready to roll out to his new family! Gimlet has a microchip that will need transferred to your name once he is adopted and in your home. Gimlet has gained a few pounds since intake he is 18 pounds now. Dachshund mix. Housebroken, loves dogs, loves cats, great lap buddy for your nights of snuggles on the couch while watching your soaps!! Uses a doggie door and needs a boost to make it to your lap but loves all the attention. Gimlet grumbles a little when you pick him up at first but then get ready for a good face cleaning, but thats just last for the first couple days with a little grumble when first picked up. Very sweet and just wants a friend to be his friend for life!! Loves his human kids, love dogs, foster brothers and sisters and a bonus loves goats!! Gimlet also got his choppers cleaned (dental) when he was neutered. Please help Gimlet with being his furever family!! Please let Gimlet steal your heart and make him a part of your wonderful home. Hello my name is Toby. I am an 11 year old male Dachshund. I am microchipped. I was found running the road and almost got hit by numerous cars. My owners did not want me back. I am very sweet and timid. I do not understand play so I do get a little snippy from time to time if you were to playfully grab at me as I do not understand what this means. I do not care for walking on leashes but will occasionally. I prefer to be a lap dog. I prefer my special family so we can sit together or I in your lap and gets lots of attention all day every day. I am long haired. I am brown and white. I get scared easy. I am fully vaccinated. I am heartworm negative and on heartworm prevention. I am not neutered and due to my age the vet doesn't think it's a good idea. I will need to be worked with on potty training and I can also wear a belly band that helps with not urinating in your house. I get along great with all other dogs and cats. I am laid back and the sweetest little boy in the world. I'm fine with riding in car if I'm held and not put in a pet carrier. Pet carriers terrify me. Hi!  My name is Samson and I am looking for my own forever home.  Me and several other small dogs were thrown out to fend for ourselves and were all pretty scared.  We were picked up by some nice caring folks and when BCAA heard about us they said they would help us ... yeah!  All the others have found their own homes and now it's my turn.  My foster mom says I may be a little older and have a few gray hairs (I'm around 10years old), but that I still have lots of spunk in me and am a super handsome little guy (I only weigh 14lbs).  I am on the shy side when I first meet new people and go into new situations but with just a little bit of time, I realize you are safe and then I will become your shadow.  I have gotten along with all of the other dogs I've met and have ignored those things called cats.  I've done really well in my crate without any accidents, barking or tearing up of any bedding although I would really prefer to be out and about with you.  I've probably never had a leash on before and haven't quite the hang of one yet so a fenced yard will be needed for me.  I like my food and treats which I take gently.  If you would like to meet me, please fill out an application which can be found at http://www.bcaaofnj.org.Interested in adopting this pet?Click here for BCAA's on-line Application!
