Story
Meet Melanie, your future best friend with a tiny mischievous streak. At around 6 years old and just 17 pounds, Melanie is the perfect little companion who somehow went unclaimed at the shelter—but we know her forever family is out there. This sweet girl will absolutely steal your heart… and possibly your garden gloves if you leave them unattended. Melanie is house-trained, crate-trained, and settles quietly in her crate like a pro. She loves strolling through the neighborhood, taking in all the sights and sounds—especially squirrels and birds. When she’s not out on an adventure, you’ll find her happily playing with her toys or soaking up the sunshine during a cozy nap. Melanie is the kind of dog who brings a calm, loving presence to a home while still keeping life fun and full of little surprises. Melanie will be spayed prior to finalizing an adoption.  If you’re ready to give this sweet girl the forever home she deserves, please fill out an application at oneloveanimalrescue.org.To be considered as this pet's adopter, please go to  https://oneloveanimalrescue.org/adoption-applications/dog-application/ to complete your application. Story
Sammy is the epitome of cute and adorable . At 9 weeks of age and 5lbs, we expect hell mature around 15lbs. Sammy is a mix of Doxie and possibly Poodle. His coat is soft and fluffy. Sammy is very self assured, plays with our much larger resident dogs and has been around our young grandchildren. Because of his small size, a home with older children or a retired couple, would be ideal. Sammy is a confident pup and in a loving home, will certainly thrive. For an application, go to puppiesandmorerescue.org Completed application, should be sent to puppiesandmore@yahoo.com Adoption donation of $395 plus $100 deposit which will be returned to you once your puppy is spayed or neutered and microchipped at your Vet or a clinic by 6.5 months old Puppies and More Rescue is a registered 501c3 non-profit organization and donations are tax deductible. *** Breed determination in most cases is often based on the limited history typically available for most rescued animals. We try to be as accurate as possible with the information we have and the Rescue assessment of the pup. If interested in adopting please fill out an application which can be found puppiesandmorerescue.org and email it to the application processor listed on the bio . If you need to reach the director puppiesandmore@yahoo.com Our application download can also be found on our website http://puppiesandmorerescue.org/adopt/

Story
Hi!  My name is Charlie and I am looking for a forever home.  Me and my friend were surrendered to a small rescue after our owners claimed we were "chasing chickens" and said they no longer wanted us.  A volunteer with that rescue contacted BCAA to see if they could help us and they said yes!  I appear to be a dachshund mix (no telling what that mix might be!), am only around 1 year old but past all of that puppy foolishness and I weigh a little over 21lbs, not too small but not too big.  I love getting attention even more than getting treats (but I won't turn one down!).  I have gotten along with all of the other dogs I have met and haven't bothered those things called cats that I've encountered.  I have done really well in my crate without any accidents, barking or tearing up of bedding.  I'm good on leash and enjoy going on walks as it means I get to be with you and out on an adventure.  If you would like to meet me, please fill out an application which can be found at www.bcaaofnj.org.Interested in adopting this pet?Click here for BCAA's on-line Application! PLEASE NOTE: Our adoption fee helps to cover our expenses and includes all shots, *age appropriate*, distemper and rabies, fecal check, spay/neuter, heartworm test, grooming, and in many cases dental and also the fee we pay when we rescue from a shelter. Story
Handsome piebald Cajun is a total sweetheart, a gentle, well-mannered boy, who loves cuddling!  Four years, 12 pounds, Cajun came to rescue as a breeder release because of an IVDD episode.  He was never completely down, wobbly especially on one side. We treated him with steroids, acupuncture/laser; then some water therapy. Cajun is doing so well. He walks, runs, goes in/out the doggie door in his foster home, plays. His only limitations are stairs, jumping, but those are off limits for all doxies. We'd like him to have a fenced yard. He would enjoy a doggie buddy, who is mostly chill, plays some. Cajun loves lap time, hanging out with his humans.  If you are able to open your heart to this lovely boy, he'll be a great best friend. Fostered near Philadelphia, PA. Adoption fee $375. www.longdogsrescue.org/application
