Story
Griffith is a 6 year old, male dachshund who is looking for someone to snuggle with all day long. He is very loving and loyal and just wants to be with his person all day. He has a traumatic past from being a breeding dog/stud at a puppy mill where he was likely abused. His current owners rescued him from this situation 4 years ago, and he has come a long way. He still does have many quirks and struggles with separation anxiety, so it’s important that his new owner has lots of love and patience. He would do best in a home with someone retired or who works from home. He needs a child-free home. He currently lives with another doxie, and would likely be fine either with another dog or as the only dog. His current owners are devastated to part with him, but with a one year old, both Griffith and the baby do not feel safe together. If you need a snuggle buddy and loyal companion and think you’d be a good fit, please apply! Thank you!

Story
Foster Needed for Persimmon! Meet Persimmon, a sweet and very social young male Dachshund in need of a foster or foster-to-adopt home! Persimmon is a friendly little guy who loves people and other dogs. Despite having a back leg issue that needs to be evaluated, he has no issues getting around and is full of energy and love. However, Persimmon does not like to be left alone and would do best with a foster who can spend lots of time with him. His back leg issue is that he can walk but at times his legs are a bit wobbly. He has seen an orthopedic vet and has been medicated.  We would love to get him into a foster home while we determine if he needs further care.   He will also require a neuter and dental procedure, and all veterinary appointments will take place in South Jersey. We're looking for a foster who can commit to bringing him to these appointments. Foster Requirements: Must be able to transport Persimmon to vet appointments in South Jersey. Provide a loving and caring home while we work on his medical needs. A patient and gentle approach as Persimmon undergoes evaluation and treatment. Preferably someone who can be with Persimmon for much of the day, as he thrives on companionship. If you're located in or near South Jersey and can help this adorable Doxie on his journey to a healthier life, please reach out! Foster-to-adopt arrangements are also available if you fall in love with this little guy and want to make him a permanent part of your family. Persimmon can't wait to meet you and start the next chapter of his life!   ##2214902##

*SHYENNE & SHYLOH ARE BONDED & LOOKING FOR A HOME TOGETHER* Hello, my name is: ShyenneDOB: 11/5/2021Sex/Breed: Female Dachshund mixWeight: 8 lbsFriends: Adults, older kids, dogs (cats unknown)Traits: Shy, gentle, resilientRescued From: AbandonedShyenne and her sister, Shyloh, are survivors of a hoarding case. They lived with 50 other dogs in a tiny home filled with garbage, furniture, and filth nearly stacked to the ceiling. These girls were very under socialized and shellshocked when they arrived in their foster home, but with kindness and patience they have started to relax and trust. They get along really well together and have become really close, so we are looking for a home for them together. Having a confident, easy-going resident dog would be very helpful with their transition from throw aways to cherished pets, but they could also thrive as the only dogs in a home. From the beginning they have been fine though a little worrisome about being picked up and handled. As time has gone on, they have learned to trust more and more. They are still working on their training, and would do best with a secure outside area to roam while supervised. These girls will need a patient family and a home that is quiet and calm to feel safe. Learning to trust and confidence-boosting are the most important things to focus on with these girls. In time, we have no doubt Shyloh and Shyenne will flourish and become loving members of their forever family… all they need is a chance. All our pets are microchipped, spayed/neutered, and up to date on vaccinations and preventatives.Interested in adopting? Story
Little lady Sadie is ready for her forever home after being rescued from a Louisiana hoarder house. We were told she is 2 years but think more like 4-5, 10 pounds.  Sadie is shy at first, needs time to feel comfortable; then a devoted best friend, who loves lap time, being close. She gets along with the other dogs, plays a little, cuddles; can be jealous of lap time with just a tiny growl. She also enjoys yard time. Sadie would love an owner who'd spend lots of time with her. She's a great best friend! Fostered near Philadelphia, PA. Adoption fee $375. www.longdogsrescue.org/application
