Story
Marina is a gentle, kind little dog that was found as a stray at a grade school in California. One of our rescue partners took Marina in and no owner responded to her stray hold so we took Marina into our program to give her a wonderful new life. - 17 pounds and approximately 1 year old - Short legs, long body and looks very Dachshund to us. She has a gorgeous, black brindle coat that is so shiny. - Good with other dogs and cats and has been fostered for weeks with both. - Lower energy and loves to cuddle and relax with her owner. Has a meek, pleasant, easy going personality and her tail is often wagging. - Fostered with a gentle, 3 year old child and Marina has been appropriate with her. We do think kids ages 10+ would be good for Marina only because she really blossoms in a calm home. - Has not been noticeably vocal and is on the quieter side - Good potty habits Marina is spayed, vaccinated, heartworm tested negative, dewormed, microchipped and current on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. Her adoption fee includes a free wellness exam at one of our partner veterinary clinics in Oregon City, Milwaukie, Tualatin or Portland. $450 adoption fee Fostered in Vancouver, Washington APPLY TO ADOPT MARINA ON OUR WEBSITE: WWW.AGAVEDOGS.ORG

Story
Seraphina landed in an outdoor California shelter when she was found as a stray. The shelter reached out to us and asked if we could take her and we leaped at the chance. She is such a lovely, nice puppy who is deserving of a great life, not a shelter life. - Approximately 5 months old and 13.5 pounds on 3/25/26. We anticipate Seraphina will be around 16 pounds or so full grown but cannot guarantee size at maturity. - We aren't sure of her breed mix but she has short legs, a long body and scruffy wire fur. She's such a beautiful little dog! - Good with other dogs and cats. Fostered with both. - Sweet to people although a touch shy initially. She is definitely blossoming in foster and ready to build more confidence. - Nice medium energy for a puppy - Getting lots of handling, enrichment and potty training while in foster - Working on crate training especially at night and doing well with it so far. You will likely have to get up once in the night to take her out to potty. Seraphina has had her initial vaccines and will just need one more puppy vaccine. She is microchipped, dewormed, and current on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. Her adoption fee includes her spay surgery between 7 - 12 months of age at our partner veterinary clinic in Milwaukie or SW Portland. It also includes a free wellness exam at one of our partner veterinary clinics in Oregon City, Milwaukie, Tualatin or Portland. $450 adoption fee Fostered in Happy Valley, Oregon APPLY TO ADOPT SERAPHINA ON OUR WEBSITE: WWW.AGAVEDOGS.ORG

Story
**Now fostered in Seattle, WA** Tuck – 9 Years Young | Dachshund Mix | Little Legs, Big Heart Tuck may be estimated at 9 years old, but don’t let the touch of gray and his love of snuggles fool you — this boy still has plenty of pep in his step! Tuck is happiest wherever you are. If that’s a cozy night at home, he’s curled up beside you. If it’s a Super Bowl party? He recently attended his very first one and proudly celebrated a Seahawks win. He’s equal parts cuddle bug and social companion. He’s currently fostered with other dogs and cats and does wonderfully with both. In fact, Tuck would truly love another dog in his forever home to be his buddy. He enjoys playing fetch, zooming around with his foster dog siblings, and taking his daily mile-long walk. That’s right — short legs and all! He loves to stop and sniff, but once he sees the other pups trotting ahead, he buckles down and keeps pace. His foster mom cannot say enough good things about him. Friends and family adore him for his polite, well-mannered personality. He is fully potty trained and crate trained… though if given the choice, he would much rather sleep snuggled up with his person. When Tuck first arrived in the Pacific Northwest, he experienced a little separation anxiety. With time, patience, and reassurance, he has settled in beautifully. While he’ll always prefer to be by your side, he now does just fine when left home alone. Tuck will need a single-family home (no apartments or townhomes). He takes his neighborhood watch duties seriously and can get excited about outside noises. He especially feels it’s important to alert everyone when his foster mom pulls into the driveway — very thoughtful of him, really. Beyond his playful and loyal nature, Tuck is also a sensitive, intuitive soul. After his foster family recently lost one of their cats, Tuck barely left his foster mom’s side. He knew she needed comfort, and he was right there for her. Tuck would be a wonderful match for: A first-time dog owner A semi-active couple or individual A family with older, respectful kids who match his chill vibe A home with another friendly dog If you’re looking for a devoted companion who will go on walks, play a little fetch, attend your gatherings, and then curl up beside you at the end of the day — Tuck is your guy. Email kathleen@threelittlepittiesrescue.org We facilitate adoptions across the US through our own internal transport to ensure the quality of care. We travel to WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT and Canada (Canadian adopters will need to pick up in Bellingham, WA  or Brattleboro, VT for the eastern Canadian border)! Our pups travel in comfort with 24/7 care on our USDA licensed vehicles, including buses and cargo vans. You can join along on our private Facebook event page to follow their adventure, connecting you with other adopters and providing updates throughout their transport journey!   You will get to meet your new pup over a video call before signing paperwork, creating a fun and personalized adoption experience!    The adoption fee is $1,200 and includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12 month heartworm preventative injectable, heartworm test and treatment if needed, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and priceless years of love and loyal companionship!    We have over 15,000 successful adoptions so far and have excellent Google Reviews: https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success.    Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress!    Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond.   Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.    The rescue’s hard costs alone (excluding transport) for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,368. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Transport is a significant additional expense to the rescue.  While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that the rescue does not receive government funding and must fundraise to offset the remaining expense balance which ranges $100-1,000++ per animal on these direct costs.   It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS:   Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family  Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions  70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription Coupons for a fun visit to Petco 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer  Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup!   Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Story
If you love dogs with a big heart, a total snuggle bug, one who longs to be your lap dog and best friend, but has a small frame and little legs to match… well look no further because Tilly Millie was made for you! Not only is she incredibly sweet, but she is absolutely adorable. So get ready for your phone to be overrun with Tilly Millie content because that’s exactly what is going to happen the second you bring her home. Watch her video and fall in love: https://youtu.be/gLH54EBQyKA?si=RBlWnUyPIdQQW1sh Tilly Millie is a Dachshund mix approximately 3 years old and currently weighs about 16 lbs. She’s a little girl and the perfect size for lap snuggles. Now let’s talk about how unique her color markings are. A perfect blend of all the colors you could be drawn to. With markings like that, she may even has a little Blue Heeler mixed in there somewhere. Regardless of what makes her this unique, it suits her well and just makes her that much more special. Till is a rescue dog and with any rescue, it’s always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age. Tilly can be a bit shy at first when meeting new people or stepping into new environments and may take a little time to warm up, but once she does, she’s all about affection and spoiling you with her gentle love. She truly shines as a lap dog and is happiest curled up close to her person, soaking in love and giving it right back. Her energy level is beautifully balanced. Not too busy and not too sleepy. Just the right amount of energy, the kind of pup who fits perfectly into your routine. She enjoys getting out for walks (and walks nicely on a leash!) but is just as content relaxing at home, snuggled up next to you on the couch binge-watching your favorite show or movie. She’s dog-friendly and has done great with every dog we have introduced her to. She has met dogs her size and smaller and has also been around dogs twice her size! No matter the size, Tilly has shown to be a polite, gentle lady when she meets a dog on leash and shows that same level of gentleness when meeting dogs off leash. She isn’t a super playful girl with other dogs, she prefers calm companionship over rough-and-tumble play. She will do best in a home with a doggy pal that has the same cool, calm, collected vibes like herself. If you don't have other dogs, that's fine too! She does not need the company of another dog to help her open up or to satisfy her energy needs. Tilly is naturally a calm girly and will need time to adjust in her new surrounds with or without a doggy friend. She also met our house cat Biggie and met him appropriately and was very respectful around him. She did not chase Biggie, nor was she bothered by Biggie jumping or doing what cats do. Biggie also felt comfortable around her as well. Not only did Tilly do well with our house cat Biggie, but she is also fostered in a home with cats as well and does great with them. Tilly has the kind of easygoing personality that allows her to thrive in many living situations. Her well-balanced energy level and polite leash manners make her a great neighbor-friendly companion. She would also be perfectly happy in a suburban home with a backyard, where she could enjoy sniffing around, sunbathing, and lounging after her walks. While she’d appreciate outdoor access, she doesn’t rely on a yard to be fulfilled; her happiness comes from companionship, not square footage. If you’re looking for a loyal little companion who bonds deeply, loves cuddles, and brings a steady, comforting presence into your life, Tilly may be exactly who you’ve been waiting for. We are willing to test Tilly Millie with anything you need in order to ensure it's a perfect match. We can make anything happen! Just let us know. Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life? Story
We don’t know who gave Shorty Spuds permission to be THIS cute, THIS happy, and THIS good at dancing… but we’re really glad they did. If you’ve been waiting for a tiny best friend who brings big joy, will instantly put a smile on your face, Shorty Spuds is about to steal your heart in record time. Watch his video and fall in love with this little cutie: https://youtu.be/xa-He4dnQjc?si=GTB61InK5agmF89h Shorty Spuds is a 1-year-old Dachshund/Chihuahua mix (and with rescue, it’s always a bit of a mystery!) weighing in at about 15 pounds of pure personality. He may be small, but this little guy is packed with happiness, charm, and the kind of love that instantly makes your day better. From the moment you meet him, it’s clear. Shorty loves people. Like, really loves them. He’s the kind of dog who would choose cuddles over toys every single time. While he’ll happily accept a tasty treat (and will absolutely show off his adorable little dance moves for one), what he really wants is you. Your attention, your affection, your lap. His favorite place in the world is curled up right next to his person, soaking up all the love he can get. And speaking of adorable… his face alone is enough to make you melt, but add in his little happy dances and the way he snuggles into your lap like he was made for it? Game over. Shorty is crate trained and doing great with his potty training. He’s still learning, but he’s making progress every day and just needs a little continued guidance in a new home. He’s eager to please and very food motivated, which makes training both fun and rewarding. When it comes to other dogs, Shorty is a great little companion. He enjoys playing, running around, and engaging in lighthearted games of chase. He’s also respectful and fair, shares treats and affection nicely and reads other dogs well. If a dog comes on a little too strong or plays too rough, Shorty will politely advocate for himself with a low growl, basically saying, “hey, i’m a little guy. Let’s keep it gentle please.” It’s all part of his good communication skills. Shorty also met our house cat Biggie and met him appropriately and was very respectful around him. He did not chase Biggie, nor was he bothered by Biggie jumping or doing what cats do. Biggie also felt comfortable around him as well. We do not know if he has ever lived in a home before with a cat and this was our first time seeing him with a cat. If you have a cat in the home, we can arrange for him to have a sleepover with a cat upon request. Just let us know! Shorty would thrive in a home where he can be close to his people, whether that’s lounging on the couch, tagging along for daily activities, or showing off his signature dance moves for a treat. He’s fun, lovable, and full of that contagious happy energy that makes life just a little bit better. If you’re looking for a small dog with a huge heart, endless affection, and the cutest little personality to match, Shorty might just be your perfect match.
