Story
3 year old small lapdog needs a new home. Currently lives with children and does well with them. She has anxiety and would do best in a home with someone home most of the time or able to take her with them. She was rescued off the streets and has some unknown trauma. She is great friends with a large dog in her current home and he helps her feel brave, however she does have nightmares and would attack him in her sleep. Because of the size difference no harm was done, but she now sleeps in her own kennel. She has chewing issues too likely related to the anxiety. She can be a little nippy when playing. She is house trained and kennel trained though she can have occasional accidents. She likes walks and is a great companion. If outside of a fenced yard, she needs to be leashed because she has no recall and will bolt. She doesn't bark much inside the house, but uses her voice much more outside.

Story
**Please note this is pet is currently out of town pet but we will transport this pet to you when adopted. All fees listed include transport fees.** Meet Offa — a tiny Dachshund mix with a gentle soul and the sweetest little face. At around 3 years old and just 8 pounds, Offa is a quiet, sensitive boy who is learning that the world can be a safe and loving place. When Offa first meets new people, he can be a little shy and unsure, but with a little patience (and a few tasty treats!), his soft and loving personality begins to shine through. Once he feels comfortable, he enjoys companionship and gentle affection from the people he trusts most. Watching him slowly come out of his shell is incredibly rewarding. Offa is crate trained and does very well in his crate. He is still working on his house training and leash skills, so he’ll need a family willing to continue helping him build confidence and learn routines at his own pace. He responds wonderfully to kindness, patience, and positive reinforcement. This little guy has already been through quite a journey. When he came to us, he was covered in ticks and fleas and clearly had not been given the care he deserved. Thankfully, he received a full veterinary workup, and his bloodwork came back negative for any tick-borne illnesses. He also had a dental cleaning, so his teeth are now squeaky clean and healthy! Offa is looking for a calm, loving home where he can continue to blossom and finally experience the comfort and security every dog deserves. With a little time and understanding, this sweet boy will make a loyal and loving companion. Interested in becoming a forever home for Offa? Fill out our online adoption application: http://www.friendswithfourpaws.org/adoption-form.html This is the first step in our process, and we don't go any further without an application. Find more adoptable pets, news and information on Instagram @friendswithfourpaws or our Facebook page Friends with Four Paws . We put a lot of time and energy into processing our adoptions to find our babies the best fit home for them and you. Please do not submit an application if you are not serious about adopting. We are so excited to work with you to find you a new forever friend, and appreciate you working with us.For immediate consideration, please attach your application to the initial inquiry to help us expedite the process. Our adoption fee is $525. This includes their spay/neuter surgery, full (age appropriate) vaccinations, microchip insertion and registration, deworming, heartworm testing and prevention, flea and tick prevention and travel expenses. All of our dogs are rescued from local shelters and the general public in Oklahoma. Each dog is then placed in a foster home where he/she is kept for quarantine, to ensure if the dog gets sick it can receive proper treatment. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested, we make arrangements for transport. If a dog is already in foster care in NYC/NJ/OR, an adopter will be put in touch with the foster home AFTER an application is being processed. Thank you in advance for your patience with our process and for making adoption YOUR option!

Story
Joey is a 4 month old dachsund chihuahua (chiweenie) mix who's about 12 lbs of absolute puppy love.  He was a part of a litter that was named after transformers, but is the last puppy to find his home and his personality outshines his baby name! Joey is a sweet sensitive puppy that  likes being held in your arms, and enjoys getting affection and belly rubs. His favorite thing is chasing toys, the hose water, and cuddling.   Are you the right family for Joey? Since his other siblings have been adopted, Star has been feeling quite nervous about the big wide world, and will need a family that will be patient with showing him new experiences, keep his world small, and grow his world at his pace. Taking him to puppy classes, puppy socials, and low-stake positive experiences will help him gain confidence over time . He will benefit from a calm home that is gentle, loving, and patient. In return, he will be your loving companion, and with your guidance will grow into a brave pup who will always be by your side! A confident dog sibling will also help him with his confidence, and he loves playing with the dogs he lives with in his foster home.  Joey is learning lots of things like potty training, crate training, some very basic tricks like "sit" and "touch". He sleeps great in a crate throughout the night by his foster mom's bed, and if he needs to go out in the early morning for a potty he'll wake you up with a cute little yowl to let you know he's up. He knows how to settle in a crate for a few hours when he has to be left alone, and will wait patiently for you to let him out when you get back. His potty training skills are going great, and knows what "go potty" means, but of course will need continued positive reinforcement and chaperoning to go outside. Puppies adopted from Underdogs Rock! Rescue are required to go to force-free puppy classes with their new families because we know these classes are essential to providing puppies and their new families with a foundation of guidance and support as they grow up. Underdog puppies will have  their vaccines and microchipped covered, and our rescue will cover their spay/neuter when they reach the appropriate age. Adoption fee is $525. He is being fostered in SE Portland. You MUST have an Underdogs Rock Rescue application on file to request a meet with an Underdog. An online Underdogs Rock adoption application can only be accessed at  https://underdogsrock.org/adopt-a-dog  . You must be available to meet an Underdog in their foster's location and dogs are not held for applicants or shipped outside of the Portland metro area. Home checks are also part of the process and will be conducted virtually. Story
Meet Belle our sweet 14‑year‑old senior girl looking for a loving, calm home. Belle has been with us since the day she was born, and she has the gentlest soul. She’s wonderful with everyone kids, adults, babies, other dogs, cats, and even chickens. She’s truly the easiest companion. With our new baby showing signs of allergies and our schedules becoming too busy, we can’t give Belle the quiet, snuggly days she loves most. She’s healthy, clean, and happiest when she can relax, cuddle, and enjoy mellow company. We’re looking for someone who wants a gentle, affectionate dog to spoil and love. If you’re hoping for a calm, cuddly companion, Belle would be perfect.
