Story
Bailey is 12 years old and weighs 16 pounds. We have had her since she was a puppy (we got her from a PetSmart adoption event). We have to rehome her because someone in our house has developed significant dog allergy and asthma problems. This is a heartbreaking decision and we want to make sure she goes to a good home. Bailey is a cuddle bug. She will do best with a patient, loving home. She is slow to warm up to men and likes most kids in the neighborhood as long as they don't make sudden movements. She is scared of kids on bikes, skateboards, etc. She thinks she is the queen of the castle and is stubborn like many dachshunds. Even though she is potty trained she is prone to accidents if you miss her cues. Bailey loves to play and barks as she runs to chase balls, etc. She loves to be scratched on the top of her head. Her teeth are not very healthy. Tetanus vaccine is up to date (last received 10/2024). She is due for other shots. She does not like getting her nails trimmed.

Story
How adorable are we? Hi I’m Joey. I’m a 3 month old male dachshund mix, around 11 lbs and I have two brothers and one sister. We are ready to go now and cute as little buttons! If you are looking for a small, devoted friend, you just found us... we will make the perfect addition to any family. Dachshunds are known for being playful and energetic but with these little legs we are sure you can keep up. Please keep in mind that small children maybe rough for us so be sure that if you have smalls that they don't treat us like a toy. We just want walks and love and play and treats... the list goes on... Hurry, pups like us do not last long! *All of The Right to Live dogs are fostered locally in San Antonio Texas and will be transported to other states to their new families upon adoption. We believe fostering dogs and not having them decompress in a kenneled environment is more beneficial for the dogs and builds their trust and companionship in a family situation. Adoption fee includes transportation costs, previous/current medical treatment (spay/neuter, etc.) and a health certificate for cross-state travel*

Story
Meet Teddy Summer! He is currently 2 months old, 14 pounds, and we think he may be a Dachshund / Catahoula Leopard mix, but with rescue it’s always a guess! This puppy is from a part of the US where puppies are regularly euthanized. So, this puppy needs you! If you choose a puppy from this rescue, it saves their life AND it also allows us to save the life of another in its place. Watch Teddy's video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e3VVRE0YU2Y Teddy is currently in a loving foster home and loves to play and take lots of naps! Eat, sleep, play, repeat. Teddy is living his best puppy life right now - all he needs is YOU! This adventurous little pup leads the pack with a bold heart and a soft spot for snuggles. He’s always chasing fun with his siblings, then cuddling up like a true gentleman when it’s time to unwind. Teddy is still young so he will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. Teddy's new family will need to continue with potty and crate training and daily exercise. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy. When old enough, they will be perfect to go on walks and hikes or show off around your neighborhood. You will be guaranteed to get lots of kisses in return from your new best friend! Application link: https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/685f060f2f93888cc706a292 Please email Jacquelynn@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. We facilitate adoptions across the US through our own internal transport to ensure the quality of care. We travel to the PNW, New England, Midwest and Canada (Canadian adopters will need to pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT)! Our pups travel in comfort with 24/7 care on our USDA licensed vehicles. You can join along on our private Facebook event page to follow their adventure, connecting you with other adopters and providing updates throughout their transport journey! We have over 17,000 successful adoptions so far and have excellent Google Reviews: https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai. You will get to meet your new pup over a video call before signing paperwork, creating a fun and personalized adoption experience. We care deeply about making the perfect match between pet and family for long term success! Pick up day is unforgettable! You will get to follow along on their journey through a private FB Event page, where you will see photos, have the opportunity to connect with other adopters, and receive updates and constant communication along the way. One of our Adoption Coordinators can help to find the closest transport pick up location to you! The adoption fee is $900.00 and includes all vetting as recommended by our doctor: DAPP (2 to 4 depending on age and time in the program), Bordetella, Rabies vaccine (if old enough), multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, 2 months of heartworm preventative, extended medical such as dentals, eye surgeries, and orthopedic surgeries prior to adoption when suggested by our partner vets, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar for dogs over 4 months old, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and many priceless years of love and loyal companionship! Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We’ve received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. We’ve even had many veterinarians adopt from us! Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. Your adoption fee goes beyond getting a fully vetted pet, it’s also a donation toward our mission of helping to solve the pet over-population crisis in TX. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 7 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Follow our rescue journey through the links below! https://www.threelittlepittiesrescue.org/ https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue *Due to the rising cost of fuel and transportation expenses, there will be an additional $74 surcharge for transport. DISCLAIMER- Breed type is determined based on general appearance and behavioral characteristics, and cannot be guaranteed unless DNA test results or AKC registration were provided at intake.

Story
This is Toby Toblerone the teenie weenie! This gorgeous boy is about 2 years old, only 12 pounds, and we think he may be a Dachshund/Chihuahua mix, but with rescue, it's always a guess! Either way, he’s a pocket pup, and everything about him is so cute. I just wanna put him in my purse and take him straight home with me! Yes, it's a silly name, but this Toby is one distinguished gentleman. He may be low to the ground, but this sweet boy rates sky high on the lovability scale! We adore his expressive eyes - we think it's the eyebrows that he uses to full effect - and this boy can get extra treats from us by tilting his head just so. (Who can resist an inquisitive head tilt? Not us!) And we simply cannot get over his lowrider status - his short legs are adorable. See Toby for yourself right here! https://youtu.be/JGtsCZb9jtA?si=PZZTKqKWV5YkIrYO Sweet Toby can be shy at first in new places with new people, but don't let that fool you. He is quite the social butterfly and likes to meet new people, ever curious about what is going on....just...over...there. Toby will investigate his surroundings and choose the best place to sit (your lap), or if he must, a soft and fluffy dog bed. In his foster home, you can often find him nuzzled between your legs in the recliner while you watch the evening news. Loving Toby comes naturally, and you just can’t help but fall head over heels for those sweet soft eyes and gorgeous brown spots. Toby loves to be outdoors and does well on a leash, but we can tell he would just love a nice backyard to run free. (Bonus: his legs are short, so the yard doesn't have to be that big, lol.) Toby is a doggy daycare/ boarding superstar, and he has sooooo many friends. Let’s face it, he likes guys his size, but we could see Toby being friends with anyone. He would absolutely love another sibling in his new home, but he wouldn’t complain about being the one and only superstar in your life either. We love Toby’s happy and joyful attitude and know you will too! Application link: https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/67b6064903f12854b607826d Questions? We have over 15,000 successful adoptions so far and have excellent Google Reviews: https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success. Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress! Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet. The rescue’s hard costs alone (excluding transport) for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,368. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Transport is a significant additional expense to the rescue. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that the rescue does not receive government funding and must fundraise to offset the remaining expense balance which ranges $100-1,000++ per animal on these direct costs. It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS: Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription Coupons for a fun visit to Petco 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup!
