This is Toby Toblerone the teenie weenie! This gorgeous boy is about 2 years old, only 12 pounds, and we think he may be a Dachshund/Chihuahua mix, but with rescue, it's always a guess! Either way, he’s a pocket pup, and everything about him is so cute. I just wanna put him in my purse and take him straight home with me! Yes, it's a silly name, but this Toby is one distinguished gentleman. He may be low to the ground, but this sweet boy rates sky high on the lovability scale! We adore his expressive eyes - we think it's the eyebrows that he uses to full effect - and this boy can get extra treats from us by tilting his head just so. He is quite the social butterfly and likes to meet new people, ever curious about what is going on....just...over...there. Toby will investigate his surroundings and choose the best place to sit (your lap), or if he must, a soft and fluffy dog bed. In his foster home, you can often find him nuzzled between your legs in the recliner while you watch the evening news. Loving Toby comes naturally, and you just can’t help but fall head over heels for those sweet soft eyes and gorgeous brown spots. Toby loves to be outdoors and does well on a leash, but we can tell he would just love a nice backyard to run free. (Bonus: his legs are short, so the yard doesn't have to be that big, lol.) Say hello to Gummy Bear, the perfectly petite pup with a big heart! This sweet boy is a likely Dachshund/Beagle mix who weighs in on the smaller side but brings a whole lot of charm. With his soft, short coat and those irresistibly floppy ears, he’s as cuddly as his name suggests. Gummy Bear is confident, affectionate, and laid-back — a wonderful combination for a future family dog. He’s been doing great in his foster home: no accidents, quiet in his crate, and not the barky type. He even enjoyed his car rides and showed no fear at the vet or when meeting new people. This little guy has a calm, lower-energy vibe and gets along well with small dogs and respectful kids (he was very sweet with his foster’s 4-year-old). He’s also shown no interest in chasing the cat — so we think he could be a good fit for a home with feline friends. He hasn’t been tested with large dogs yet, but we’re happy to set that up if needed. Gummy Bear is around 2–3 years old and seems to prefer going potty outside, though full house training can’t be guaranteed due to his foster’s setup. Still, he’s been a very tidy little guest so far! This is Toby Toblerone the teenie weenie! This gorgeous boy is about 2 years old, only 12 pounds, and we think he may be a Dachshund/Chihuahua mix, but with rescue, it's always a guess! Either way, he’s a pocket pup, and everything about him is so cute. I just wanna put him in my purse and take him straight home with me! Yes, it's a silly name, but this Toby is one distinguished gentleman. He may be low to the ground, but this sweet boy rates sky high on the lovability scale! We adore his expressive eyes - we think it's the eyebrows that he uses to full effect - and this boy can get extra treats from us by tilting his head just so. (Who can resist an inquisitive head tilt? Not us!) And we simply cannot get over his lowrider status - his short legs are adorable. Say hello to Gummy Bear, the perfectly petite pup with a big heart! This sweet boy is a likely Dachshund/Beagle mix who weighs in on the smaller side but brings a whole lot of charm. With his soft, short coat and those irresistibly floppy ears, he’s as cuddly as his name suggests. Gummy Bear is confident, affectionate, and laid-back — a wonderful combination for a future family dog. He’s been doing great in his foster home: no accidents, quiet in his crate, and not the barky type. He even enjoyed his car rides and showed no fear at the vet or when meeting new people. This little guy has a calm, lower-energy vibe and gets along well with small dogs and respectful kids (he was very sweet with his foster’s 4-year-old). He’s also shown no interest in chasing the cat — so we think he could be a good fit for a home with feline friends. He hasn’t been tested with large dogs yet, but we’re happy to set that up if needed. Gummy Bear is around 2–3 years old and seems to prefer going potty outside, though full house training can’t be guaranteed due to his foster’s setup. Still, he’s been a very tidy little guest so far! This charming little 10-pound Chiweenie may have a magical name, but his greatest spell is how quickly he can steal your heart. At just 3 years old, Wizard Waverly is a bright, curious, and affectionate pup who’s learning what it means to be loved and cared for. Wizard came to us from a heartbreaking situation — a home with over 30 dogs living in unsafe conditions. Thanks to the efforts of multiple rescues (including ours!), Wizard and his friends finally got their chance at a better life. Despite his rough start, Wizard’s resilience shines through every day. He’s housebroken, crate-trained, and making great progress learning to use the doggy door. He’s still working on his leash training, but he’s such a smart boy that he’s picking it up quickly! Wizard loves toys, especially ones he can chase or squeak, and he’ll happily entertain himself or join in a play session with his humans. We have foster homes in the NJ/NY area waiting to receive their fosters. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested, we make arrangements for transport. If a dog is already in foster care in NYC/NJ, an adopter will be put in touch with the foster home AFTER an application is being processed.
