This cutie is Olympic Washington. She is currently 4 pounds, 10 weeks old, and we think they may be a Dachshund / Chihuahua mix, but with rescue it’s a guess! What matters most is that they are adorable and are one the MOST desperate in the entire US based on statistics for where this puppy is from. Shelters in this area are having to euthanize puppies. MEET CRAIG - This sweet, gentle and quiet 10-year-old Dachshund mix was saved from a California shelter, and was so very thin when rescued. But now he's at a healthy weight and looks great! Dogs don't come any sweeter than Craig, who is loving, easygoing and just a joy to have around. Craig will make a wonderful companion for someone who has a peaceful and quiet home. Mel is a 10-12 yr old chiweenie who has had the life! His owner passed and he has been with us since. He is a wonderful pup! He does not really love other dogs other than his bestie Wendy (also on our adoptable list). They have been together a long time. While they may not be a bonded pair, they do love each other and would love to find a family together if possible. Mel came to us with a rotten mouth, unneutered, and had not seen a vet in many years. Since he has been here, we have gotten his medical needs met! He is vaccinated, microchipped, neutered, and has have a full mouth dental extraction so he now longer has any teeth. Don't let that get you down! He is a MUCH happier dog today because of it. Minerva aka Mini is a lover and wants nothing more than to be with her person or people. Mini is super affectionate, loves belly rubs and snuggles, and is always ready to give you a kiss. Mini would love to have her people around as much as possible, she wants to be where you are. Mini's whole body wags and shakes with excitement when you open the door when you get home. Mini was a bit scared of her foster sisters at first but began to trust after a few days and she now loves spending time with them. She also loves her two legged brother. Mini cannot make her mind up about cats- one day she wants to love her cat and the next day she wants to chase her when the cat runs. When the day is done, Mini is ready to snuggle into her bed and give you kisses goodnight. This pretty snuggle bug is ready to have her furever home.

People say I remind them of cookies and cream when I give them sweet kisses on the nose or bump up and snuggle with them when they're feeling down. I am a Dachshund-Basset mix and medium sized about 30# full grown. Sitting on people's couches or laps is my favorite pastime as I get to snuggle close to the people I love, which is practically everyone! I LOVE OTHER DOGS TOO!! I definitely want a home with other dogs :) As I am a bit on the older side and lived on the streets until I was saved with my babies in my tummy. I have been living at my foster home and am ready for my forever HOME!! That sweet, squishable face belongs to Curly, a calm, loving, easy-going little guy with a huge heart and the cutest curly tail. So lovey, people friendly, good with dogs and cats, a great companion dog!! Curly is around 1 year old, and we suspect him to be a hound mix of some sort. He has a looooong body, short legs with feet that splay out and the cutest underbite with yellow golden eyes. Curly weighs in around 56 pounds right now, tiny but beefy with his short little legs! Curly opens up quickly with new humans, he will ask just about anyone for belly rubs. I just know that it will be “love at first sight” for him the moment he meets his forever family. He’s super affectionate, but not overly pushy about it, and doesn’t jump up for pets. He’s such a good boy! Curly did well meeting other dogs here at the rescue, and currently lives in a foster home with multiple other dogs. He gets along well with all that he meets, and he’s loving and sweet with other dogs. Curly is all about sweet puppy kisses, and going with the flow. Curly plays with his foster doggy-sister every day and would likely do well in a home with another moderately playful dog to keep him company. Here at the rescue, Curly was cat tested by our behavior team. He did really well meeting our house cat Tom, he was unfazed by him and quickly shifted his focus back to his people. Our behavior team recommends Curly for a home with dog-savvy cats! Curly is new to all the luxury a life with loving humans can afford. So far, he does well in the car, and does well in the house. He has great house manners, and doesn’t have accidents indoors in his foster home, or at the rescue. He’s still learning how to walk on leash, but he’s great about checking in with his people, and doesn’t bark at other dogs while he’s on leash. With consistent training, Curly could learn to love the leash. For the time being, we do recommend Curly for a home with a fenced yard, so that potty breaks aren’t too stressful. Curly’s perfect home has at least one loving human, and another dog to keep him company, but he’s not too picky about the rest. Curly could live with kitties, and would love a couch to curl up on. This sweet boy will make such a wonderful companion, he’s an easy-going boy, and sooo loving. Curly will bring so much joy into your life. We are willing to test him with anything you need us to in order to ensure he’s the perfect match for you! We can make most anything happen- just let us know.
