Meet Mimi Will you be the one to show this gentle black beauty that she is safe and loved? Mimi is a sweet and tenderhearted dog who is about 3 years old and weighs 23 pounds. We rescued her from a shelter near the border of Mexico. She does have a warm-up period when meeting new people. Once she knows you will be kind to her, she loves to get attention and affection. Coming from the environment she was in previously, it is apparent that she wasn’t treated nicely, so she just needs time to trust and know that she is in a safe space. She gets along well with the other dogs at the rescue. She would do best in a calm and patient home where she can acclimate to her new surroundings and learn to trust. She is a wonderful dog who just wants a family to call her own! Mimi is located at our rescue in Hondo, Texas and is available for transport to Gettysburg, PA on August 10th. Meet Glinda Glinda is a sweet little terrier mix that we recently rescued from a shelter near the border of Mexico. She is about 4 years old and weighs 15 pounds. We know the first part of her life hasn't been great and we will ensure she is adopted by someone super special who will make the rest of her life the VERY BEST. She is very deserving. Glinda will do best in a quieter home where she can thrive and be a great family member. Glinda is in a wonderful foster home in Boerne TX and is available for transport to Gettysburg, PA on August 10th. She is spayed, up to date on all shots, microchipped and her adoption fee is $400. The fee includes the transport cost. Glinda tested positive for Chagas disease and has started his treatment. This is completely curable after treatment and dogs can go on to live long and happy lives. LUCKY IS IN HIS FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS, TN AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO PA ONCE HE IS ADOPTED! Lucky is his name, and he has EARNED it. This parvo survivor is a 5-6 month old mixed breed puppy. His mom was a dachshund, and his dad is a complete guess. He is only 20 lbs, and we don't expect him to get much bigger. He loves other dogs and children, but Lucky is afraid of cats. He is working on house breaking with a few accidents here and there, but he is currently training being taken out often and especially after eating. He will pick it up soon! He loves balls and toys. His favorite thing to do is get up in your lap and cuddle when he is tired. Lucky is fully vetted including neuter, microchip, puppy shots as well as rabies shot. His adoption fee of $550 includes the transport to PA. We use a licensed and registered USDA transport company that will bring Lucky up north after he is adopted. She is adorable with large staring dark round eyes and very long legs. She is smart as a whip and playful for an old girl. She was caught with Skipper December 2022; with them being in advanced age, they had to be someone’s babies, especially to be in relatively good shape mentally as well as physically. They are great buddies, constantly playing. So, it would be advantageous if they could be adopted together. But, it isn’t required! A nice sized fenced yard would be great, also. She was very pregnant and in poor health. Rescue took her in, helped her through the pregnancy and back to good health. The puppies all have their homes and now it's momma's turn to have her new forever family. She's living in a foster home waiting for her forever family to find her. There are other dogs in the foster home and Lady Bug gets along best with the large dogs, but they feel she'd really be happiest as a single dog. She will enjoy an active lifestyle, a great hiking or walking partner. Bred to be loyal and kind. Lady Bug's weight is about 25# and she is full grown. Daisy and Donut are 2 yrs old. The perfect age as they are all grown out of the puppy stages. They are both housebroken and just the sweetest lovable dogs. They are current on all vaccinations and preventatives and have been spayed and neutered. Daisy is a little more high energy but not excessive. She is wonderful especially if she has a chewy bone or toy. Not destructive, she just likes something to chew on. Donut is lower energy but still loves to chase a ball and play with his sibling. They both know sit and will shake when asked as well. Leash and kennel trained and will sleep in their kennel 8-9 hours with no problems. They are great dogs and their family does not want to give them up but they have had a coupled unexpected deaths in the family and unforeseen circumstances that make it unfair for these two as far as time and space. Their current family would love for them to go together and the adoption fees can be adjusted accordingly if we can find a spot together for them both.
