LUCKY IS IN HIS FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS, TN AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO PA ONCE HE IS ADOPTED!    Lucky is his name, and he has EARNED it. This parvo survivor is a 5-6 month old mixed breed puppy. His mom was a dachshund, and his dad is a complete guess. He is only 20 lbs, and we don't expect him to get much bigger. He loves other dogs and children, but Lucky is afraid of cats. He is working on house breaking with a few accidents here and there, but he is currently training being taken out often and especially after eating. He will pick it up soon! He loves balls and toys. His favorite thing to do is get up in your lap and cuddle when he is tired.   Lucky is fully vetted including neuter, microchip, puppy shots as well as rabies shot. His adoption fee of $550 includes the transport to PA. We use a licensed and registered USDA transport company that will bring Lucky up north after he is adopted.  To apply to adopt Lucky, go here:  http://www.newbeginningsanimalrescue.net .    Any Questions, email us at newbeginnings_animalrescue@yahoo.com .  THANK YOU FOR CONSIDERING ADOPTING A RESCUED PET!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.February 22, 2024, 11:50 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. 2nd Chance 4 Life Rescue is primarily a sanctuary for senior and medically needy dogs.  Every once in awhile you will see younger dogs but for the most part our dogs live out their life at the ranch at the request of their previous owners or their owners families.  We have many sponsorship dogs.  Our sponsors love to keep in touch and know how their sponsored fur buddy is doing :)When we have foster families we are thrilled to be able to take adoptable younger dogs :)  So if you have ever thought about becoming fosters please feel free to go to our foster/volunteer page and fill out an application. The Ranch located at 737 Taylor Rd., Windsor, PA is always looking for dedicated volunteers that will commit to at least a 2 hour shift per week at the rescue.  Volunteers work in play yards, help with laundry and feeding.  Some enjoy landscaping or carpentry projects and some like to bake for the healing center visitors :)Thank you for supporting our mission of caring for the elderly and medically needy souls that need us!UPDATE - 3 girls and 2 boys and they are all doing well.  working on their potty training.  Will only go to a home with another young small dog or someone taking 2.  Will NOT go to homes with young children as they are very small.  Fenced yard is a plusWell here we go again....  Female dog has puppies and the owner decides its too much work and drops off momma and puppies at shelter :(We have promised our little family that they will NOT be left down by humans again because 2nd Chance is VERY picky about who is blessed with a 2nd Chance rescue pup!!!  When they are adopted this time it will be FUREVER!ADOPTERS MUST BE within 1 hour of Windsor, PAVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Please fill out an adoption application: Adoption application (Dog) Adoption Application (Cat)   Please understand we do not adopt out dogs to families with children under the age of 5. We do not adopt dogs to renters. Some dogs will have fence requirements while others may not.   A pet is a lifetime commitment. The dogs and cats in our system find themselves there, for the most part, because their humans did not have the same loyalty to them as they did to their owners. We do not take the adoption process lightly, and will do everything in our power to make sure the animal is placed correctly the first time around for your sake and theirs. Thank you for choosing to adopt not shop!February 20, 2024, 4:04 pm

Story
This adorable little lady is Lizzy! She is a fairly active, good natured and a happy girl. She will be a little bit shy around people right at first until she gets used to them, but once she does, she will be their best friend forever. I think she will do better in an adult home or at least with no small kids…teenagers would be fine. She and her five puppies came to us from a local kill shelter just a few days after she gave birth. Believe it or not, someone left her and the puppies in a box on the steps of the shelter the night before we got her. She was a terrific mother…she raised her puppies, which have all found homes and now she’s ready for a great new life of her own. Unfortunately when she went in to be spayed she tested positive for heartworms, but she has just completed her heartworm treatment and she is good to go now. Lizzy is 2 years old and she weighs 24 pounds. She been spayed, 4DX heartworm tested, microchipped, fecal tested, current on all vaccines, wormed and is on heartworm and flea prevention. Her adoption fee is $400. Lizzy is being fostered in Tennessee. Once adopted she will be transported to her pickup location by a professional dog transport company. Our rescue ships to the Northeast area every week and her fee includes transportation. Due to state laws, we cannot accept applications from residents of Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island or Maine since we can’t adopt directly to residents of those states.

Story
Hi my name is Cookee, and I'm the sweetest treat of a pup that you'll ever meet. People say I remind them of cookies and cream when I give them sweet kisses on the nose or bump up and snuggle with them when they're feeling down. I am a Dachshund-Basset mix and medium sized about 30# full grown. Sitting on people's couches or laps is my favorite pastime as I get to snuggle close to the people I love, which is practically everyone! I LOVE OTHER DOGS TOO!! I definitely want a home with other dogs :) As I am a bit on the older side and lived on the streets until I was saved with my babies in my tummy. I have been living at my foster home and am ready for my forever HOME!! I will need a patient and loving family to give me a good life of exercise- LOL, playtime, treats, love, affection, and belonging. Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX)

Not good with kids, Good with dogs, Needs experienced adopter, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Willow is a 2-year old Chiweenie (Chihuahua and Dachshund mix) who weighs around 14 lbs. She and possibly one of her puppies were abandoned in a rural area in WV. They were fending for themselves when a local person saw them and started feeding them. However they were extremely fearful, almost feral, and animal control had to come out and trap them. Willow will need a patient adopter without small children in the home. Possibly someone who has experience with a fearful dog. She is very sweet once she trusts her people. She is very submissive and will tinkle when scared. She is doing great with the house-training and does her potty outside. She is crate-trained but will huddle in her crate when scared. Her foster just puts some washable diapers with a liner on each morning to catch any of the submissive tinkles. Willow will need to go into a home with a fenced backyard where her humans can help her with leash-training. She would not do well with city-living or a very busy home. She has gotten along with the other dogs in her foster home that range from a 8-lb to 65-lb dog. However, she would do best as an only dog in order to get the attention and training needed, or with another confident dog in the home that can show her the ropes. Willow is spayed, up to date on vaccines and micro-chipped. If you are interested in sweet Willow, please send us an email and request an application at NeedfulSoulsDogRescue@gmail.com or respond to this post.
