Story
Meet Lil Bit – A Devoted, Gentle Companion 🐾 Lil Bit is a 6-year-old Chihuahua mix with a heart full of love and a calm, loyal spirit. She’s the kind of dog who forms a deep bond with her person and will happily follow you from room to room, always wanting to be close by your side. This sweet girl has wonderful manners and an easygoing personality. She knows “sit,” waits patiently to be harnessed and leashed, and walks beautifully on a leash. Lil Bit is also very polite when meeting new people—she happily greets adults and respectful children with a gentle, friendly demeanor. At her recent adoption event, Lil Bit truly shined. Despite the busy environment, crowds, and loud music, she remained calm, quiet, and well-behaved—never barking and content to relax in a lap or lounge in the shade. She also did great around other dogs, showing she can comfortably coexist. Lil Bit is currently living with another dog and has no problem sharing space—even cozying up together for naps. She’s also not destructive and settles nicely in the home, rotating between relaxing with her people and her doggy companion. She appears to be trained on puppy pads. While transitioning to a new routine may take patience, she’s a smart girl and eager to learn. She eats her meals in her crate and gets adorably excited at mealtime! At night, she may bark a bit when settling in, but she’s otherwise a quiet companion. Lil Bit prefers to keep all four paws on the ground and isn’t a fan of being picked up, but she absolutely loves gentle pets and affection. While she tolerates toddlers, she is more comfortable with calm, respectful interactions, so she would thrive in a home with older children who understand how to interact gently with a small dog. If you’re looking for a loving, loyal companion who will stay close to your side and bring a peaceful presence to your home, Lil Bit may be your perfect match.

Story
This adorable Wire-haired Dachshund is 5 years old and has the cutest whiskers and eyebrows ever going.  He is a calm and easy going 24 pounds boy that could stand to go on a reasonable diet and lots of daily walks during the week to slim down to a great weight for his long Dachshund body.  This boy is named Grins and he just lost his home because his senior mom entered a nursing home on Wednesday 5/27.  All that he needs in life right now is a new family/owner who will love getting up every morning to see his sweet happy face and to take him several times a day on a good walking/exercise program to trim down his extra pounds and get him to a good 20 pound body weight.  Less pounds means more good life for a Dachshund and Grins is at his prime time to change his food intake to higher quality.  He really needs to get out and see the world from the end of a leash!   His former mom has been bedridden for over 3 years and he has not been taken on walks in all the time. Now Critter Cavalry Rescue is taking him in to their foster program.  Grins might do best as the only dog in his new home.  He has a tendency to be bossy with other dogs sometimes.  It could be managed if he has a strong owner who knows how to be the boss in the house and not let Grins run the show.  He is in a foster now that has cats and he does great with them!.He is housebroken and knows what a pee pad is just in case you need that extra time away.  He is crate trained and does so well on a leash too!   Snickers is resilient, happy to go wherever  you take him and is adjusting to all the new sights, sounds and people in his life.  We would love a Dachshund lover who is experienced with the breed to give Grins a soft bed and a big heart filled with love as his next forever place.  If you are interested, please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com    When inquiring please tell us where you live!!!        PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJune 6, 2026, 11:18 am

Story
Gracie is a one-of-a-kind low-riding, wide eared phenomenon who will stare directly into your eyes as if she has an important communication for you, The right adopter will be able to hear her. Her breed blend is a bit of a mystery. Basset? Dachshund? Who knows? Who cares? Not Gracie. Her legs measure approximately 11 baby carrots in length but she toddles through the room with the confidence of a an Amazon. Her ears are wide enough to pick up satellite signals, ensuring free cable for her new family! Gracie is a genuinely lovely little companion. She adores her people, enjoys a slow, thoughtful stroll {emphasis on slow}, and would happily spend the rest of her days being near you while you do absolutely anything… or nothing at all. She is the perfect home companion. Housetrained, good on the leash, happy to go for car rides, generally sleeps through the night. She is happy to spend all her time with her human and wants to be the one and only pet. Her vision and hearing seem pretty solid. Due to her back pain, she has trouble with stairs and would prefer to be carried up and down, like the queen that she is. Gracie would love for her new home to have a fenced yard where she can amble around, sniff things, and soak up the rays. She'd also love to go for lots of walks, have plenty of snuggle time, and enjoy a calm, quiet routine with her beloved human. She is hoping her human will be home most of the time or take her with wherever they go. She loves to be petted and snoodled and talked to. She will follow you everywhere! Not only will she lie AT your feet, she will lie ON your feet! Gracie has cushing's disease, so she will need to stay on medication to help her manage it for life. She also has some arthritis, including the above-mentioned back pain, which is benefitting from joint supplements like Cosequin and medications like gabapentin. She will also benefit from routing anal expressions (sorry, Gracie!). Gracie is a happy, happy dog, with the waggiest tail you could imagine! Gracie will not be your jogging partner or you agility champion, but she will be your devoted, loving companion. Gracie is approx 11 years old and 35 lbs. Fostered in Fairfield, PA Please apply at mirishaven.org

Story
Whimsy is a quiet, steady companion who enjoys simply being part of your world—without needing to be handled or touched unless she chooses to be. She shows affection in her own way and on her own terms, making her a wonderful match for someone who appreciates a dog that values personal space and calm companionship. She’s wonderfully independent, happy to relax nearby, join you for an outing, or hang out while you go about your day. She doesn’t seek out physical affection, but she does enjoy being close and included. When it’s time for fun, Whimsy has playful, high-energy moments. The rest of the time, she’s a laid-back couch potato who is easy to live with. She’s crate trained, walks beautifully on a leash, rides well in the car, and stays calm and quiet in the home. She’s observant, gentle in her own way, and content to entertain herself. Whimsy would do best in a home without cats. If you’re looking for a calm yet spirited dog who offers companionship without constant physical contact, Whimsy might be exactly who you’ve been hoping for. Her adoption fee of $300 covers her spay, vaccines, parasite prevention, and a microchip. Visit www.fullcirclerescueandsanctuary.com to fill out an application.

Story
🚨 Titus would like everyone to know this was NOT the plan. 🚨 The plan was obviously for him and his siblings to all go to forever homes together like some kind of adorable puppy fairytale. Instead, every single one of his siblings got adopted while Titus stayed behind wondering if maybe he accidentally missed an email. 📬 Now at 5 months old and around 15 pounds, Titus spends part of his day playing with dog friends and the other part sitting dramatically by the window like a tiny divorced dad waiting for answers. 🪟😂 Titus is a Dachshund mix with a hilarious, lovable personality. His current hobbies include: 🐛 Chasing bugs with zero survival instincts 🪵 Chewing sticks like they’re gourmet snacks 🐶 Following other dogs around like their emotional support intern 🛏️ Putting himself to bed in his crate when life gets too overwhelming That’s right — this little overachiever is already house trained AND crate trained. He’ll even casually head to his crate when it’s mealtime or when he decides he’s done socializing for the day. Honestly, his emotional regulation skills are better than most adults. 🙃 Titus is shy at first, so he absolutely needs another friendly dog in his forever home to help him feel safe and confident. Once he settles in, he’s playful, goofy, sweet, and ridiculously easy to love. ❤️ 💲 Titus’ adoption fee is $300 and includes his neuter, vaccines, parasite prevention, and microchip. Somebody please come get this tiny weenie mix before he starts writing sad poetry by the window. 🥹 Visit Full Circle Rescue and Sanctuary to fill out an application
