Hi there, I'm Twizzler! The nice people from K9 Angels rescued me from the streets and I'm enjoying every minute of my new life, but now I'm looking for my forever home. Foster mom says I have to tell you a little more about myself, so here goes. I LOVE everyone, human or dog. In fact, I have a much larger furry foster sibling, but that doesn't stop me from wrestling with him and chasing him around the yard. I may have short legs, but they get the job done! I also enjoy walks. So much so, that my foster family has taken me on 5-mile hikes some weekends. Toys are great too! I play with them all, big ones, small ones, some as big as well, me. While I do love to stay active, I enjoy spending time wherever my human is. Snuggling on the couch is really nice after a long day of activities. At night I sleep in my crate. I do prefer to know my human or furry foster sibling are nearby at night. While I have had a couple of accidents in the house, with frequent trips outside, I have done well. I have had no accidents in my crate. I love my foster home so much that I sometimes feel the need to protect it from the mailman, dog walkers, basically anyone or anything that looks unscrupulous. Because of that, apartment life might not be the best option for me. If you are looking for a pup that can join you on your adventures, but doesn't mind cuddling up for movie night on the couch, I'm your girl! Twizzler is a Female Dachshund/Rat Terrier Mix that we estimate to be born around 10/1/2021 and weighs 19 lbs.
