Hey! Iggy Pup here. I have a "Lust for Life" and would love to share my story with you.....My owner went to the county shelter and tried to surrender me and my five buddies. They turned her away but provided rehoming resources. Well, she was not interested in that so she took off and left us abandoned in her apartment. Animal Control was called out and we were impounded. SCARY! The shelter sent out a plea for help and we were all thankfully rescued. My buddy Eggbert and I were taken into SCP. I am about 8-10 years old and I have slight cataracts and arthritis. Don't worry, this doesn't keep me down! I love going for short walks and sitting with my humans on a recliner:) I am great with other dogs and even cats! I am a couch potato at heart with bouts of energy. Hopefully I have many, many more years in me- my bloodwork was great and I will be getting a dental very soon! I have medium length fur that needs a good brushing every now and again but doesn't have to be professionally trimmed. I am looking for my forever home and hoping to find this through SCP. I will sleep with you and I am potty trained - I can even be crated- I am very quiet! I am a friendly guy and love all of my peeps..... especially anyone is has food, I'm a total piggy!. Stu may have had a rough beginning to his life but that hasn't left him bitter. He is eager to give and receive affection. Stu is his foster mama's shadow; wherever she goes, he follows. He is getting along well with his two dachshund foster sisters, but mostly just wants human attention.  His little face has a lot of character -  you'll have to see the smile on this boy yourself. Stu is working on house training and doing very well. He will stay in his crate when foster mama leaves the house, but for sleeping he wants to be in the big bed, right next to the object of his affection. He is a little shy and timid at first but has been warming up quickly and showing signs of playfulness, just started giving kisses, and loves belly rubs. His whole coat is velvet-soft, which is perfect for all the hugs and cuddles he wants to give. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Wallie is a very active boy who has been thru a LOT of change after being rescued from a shelter, and then just a short year later evacuating from his flooded home during Hurricane Harvey only to lose his precious mom (a beloved fellow doxie rescuer) very unexpectedly in the aftermath. Her family chose to surrender 4 of her dogs to ATDR so we could help place them in loving homes as she would have wanted. It has been a confusing road for this sweet fellow, but Wallie is excited to find his new forever family. He loves to be petted and cuddle on the couch but is also very gregarious and needs a calm home with an experienced, but gentle and loving pack leader to guide him. His personality seems to be more like a Beagle. He gets along well with other laid back dogs, however he must go to a cat free home with no pocket pets. He also dearly loves his toys...they are his babies and he takes them to bed with him and he just loves to play fetch. It is his favorite thing. He uses the doggie door and will go outside to potty, but prefers to relax where the people are in the air conditioning. His Beagle side is very chatty when he is excited but he behaves very nicely in his crate at night and when his foster mom goes to work. Wallie requests a home with a securely fenced yard. Wallie is ready to find his forever person or family.
