Buddy Reese is an estimated 9-year-old, 16-pound chocolate dachshund. Buddy is very sweet and loves to be cuddled and sit on your lap and get belly scratches.  He sleeps in the big bed sometimes under the covers by your side but also likes to sleep in a doggy bed beside the big bed.  Buddy gets along with all the other dogs in his fosters home but doesn't really play.  He's too laid back!  Buddy loves his treats and won't let you forget that it's time for them!  Buddy Reese did come into rescue with a few medical issues.  He went to our vet and it was discovered that he has a hernia that needed a specialist to repair.  Buddy had his surgery to repair the hernias and also was neutered and has a dental.    Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Please see FAQs for current adoption fees.  DDRTX only adopts in Central/South Texas. Bonded Brother of Emory MarieHi there! We are Emory (Emme) & Finley! I am Emme and I am the big sister. I am 8 years old and weigh 13 pounds. My brother Finley is 7 years old and weigh 19 pounds. We are Blue Isabella Dachshunds, and we don’t know you, but we love you already. We love everyone! My little brother and I were surrendered to DDRTX due to our previous family having too busy of a schedule. We do have diluted color alopecia due to the type of dachshund we are but we don’t let that slow us down one bit! We are extremely happy, love attention, are great with kids, and are potty trained. We are not intimidated by a house full of children…we may be just as loud as they are. The more humans, the more people to love on us! My brother and I love being around humans and we do good with other dogs as well. We spend our days lounging on the couch, begging for pets, playing with toys, and snuggling with each other or the closest human around. If you would like to know more about us or meet us, make sure to fill out an application! A Note From Our Foster Mom – If you are looking for a silly and happy pair who throw the biggest welcome party every time you get home…then Emme and Finley are for you! These 2 are the sweetest dogs and are so easy to fall in love with.  They experienced a lot of alone time with their previous family so it’s like they have it all built up and clobber you with love.
