Story
AXL is a terrific 1-year old dog. We absolutely adore him! He's a total rock star at the dog park and his off-leash recall is fantastic! He LOVES all dogs (A LOT) and knows how to play well with any dog. He's probably a purebred Doberman Pinscher and very sweet, lovable and affectionate with people. He can sit and has very good manners. He's needs daily exercise and playtime at the dog park or hikes, but after he's totally chill. He loves doggy daycares and is very popular with the big dogs! He's highly responsive to training and has a very gentle mouth when taking treats. He is a very nice pup who loves being around people and bonds super fast. He's crate-trained too! Like all young dogs, he could use continued training, and consistent exercise to become the best adult dog ever. He's fantastic at dog parks, and daycare and rides well in cars. And he loves running around at the beach! If you're a hiking person he would be a fantastic companion for that because he stays right with you. AXL would do best in a home that understands large breeds. He loves dogs so another dog would be just fine for him! Children in the home should be older because he's such a big boy (he's good with all kids!) and we've found from his foster that he's a cat chaser so no cats or small animals like chinchillas. AXL's been staying at a doggy daycare where they are working with him and training him daily.

Story
URGENT -this sweet girl needs a home!! We are trying to help a family find a new home for their 18 month old female doberman Gabbana. They got her as a puppy, and she has been raised around kids and is a sensitive and sweet girl. Although she has spent a lot of time outdoors, she is calm and well-behaved in the house - she's also crate trained. Gabanna is super affectionate to her people and also an excellent watch dog of the home like dobermans are! Gabanna is not fond of other dogs and needs to be an only dog. She is very food motivated and loves to play ball at the park. Gabanna is on the smaller side around 45 pounds. If you are interested in meeting please fill out an application at our website: www.gobeyondrescue.org/adopt Our adoption fee is $450 and includes spay/neuter, microchipping and up to date vaccines. I am at Oakland Animal Services in kennel Dog I:6 Introducing Tinkerbell, a giant pup with a heart of gold! At first glance, you might notice her sensitive side and the occasional big girl bark, but underneath it all lies an affectionate and playful companion waiting to be discovered. Tinkerbell prefers a slow and steady approach when it comes to making new friends, but once she trusts you, she'll shower you with love and loyalty. She's happiest in the company of dogs who understand her need for space and boundaries, and she's shown a social side during her time at the shelter. With a low to moderate energy level and impeccable leash manners, Tinkerbell is the perfect walking buddy for someone who appreciates a leisurely stroll. Experienced adopters who understand the nuances of challenging behaviors would be an ideal match for this special girl, and while older children might be compatible, a home without small children would be best. Tinkerbell could thrive either as the sole focus of your affection or with a canine companion who complements her personality. Could you be the one to open your heart to Tinkerbell's charm? Story
Our Dr. Seuss is named for one of the author's lesser known characters: the Leggy True Boo of MinPinAroo, a high-spirited imp with an infinite capacity for fun. In the book he's a gigantic blue marsupial. In real life, he's an itty bitty chocolate brown min-pin with red spots and splashes. He's a Guys! Guys! Guys! guy who bounces, skips, sambas and break dances through life, kissing, playing, and leaping into laps. He stops and rolls for tum rubs, snuggles and high fives. He takes walks and hikes, sometimes more than once a day. The technical term is "active senior. The reality is "peppy loverboy with puppy vibes and a taste for adventure". Adopt him and have it all! Here's some notes from his foster: We have had the pleasure of fostering Dr. Seuss or "Doc as we call him. Initially he was nervous but by the third day his cute little personality came out and began to shine! He loves to completely bury himself under blankets! He loves going for walks and enjoys playing with toys... for a few minutes anyway. What he really loves is cuddling with his person, basking in the sun and snuggling under soft blankets. He sleeps through the night and goes potty outside. He has definitely made himself at home and has settled comfortably into a routine. His favorite time of day...Mealtime! He gets so excited, jumping and barking...he can't contain himself. No picky eater here! He takes himself outside to our backyard to lounge in the sun...total sun worshipper. He does enjoy playing more with toys than he was previously and entertains us nightly! Doc enjoys meeting new people and will demand pets and belly rubs from all. He enjoys his walks and can hike for over 2 miles without breaking his stride. He does get overly excited when seeing other dogs walking...we try to distract him or if that doesn't work, we just scoop him up. It is a work in progress, but easily manageable. While he does enjoy being the one and only, he has recently positively interacted with our very large, but calm and submissive grand dog and did well as long as he was NOT on a leash. After meeting, we were able to walk them both together with no issues. He is very sweet and loving and was great with my grand daughter...could not get enough of her! Little Doc bonds very deeply to his person and will worm his way right into your heart! We are enjoying every minute with this sweet, perfect little guy!

Story
It has to be said: Turner is a head-turner. Tall, dark and darling with sharp white eyebrows and muzzle, he takes handsome up a notch with his red socks and highlights. His legs are long and agile, just right for stairs and long walks. His ears look like fur wings that might work in a strong wind. He loves a good time, always up for playing with humans and canine friends. And his manners are just dandy! He has a "sit to die for. Get him now before a modeling agency snaps him up. Here's some notes from his foster: When they said "Man's Best Friend" - Turner understood the assignment. This guy has ultimate "just happy to be here" vibes and could probably flourish in any type of family. I think he would do great with older kids and other dogs, or be someone's special solo companion. He loves to see dogs on our walks and say hi, but is totally cool with his foster brother not wanting anything to do with him. He has energy for play time and walks (he out walks his foster brother but is fine patiently waiting up), but if you are focused on something else he is happy to chill and stare at you with his adoring eyes. His favorite pastimes include burrowing under blankets and covers (if the choice is on a blanket or under it, he wants under), repeatedly nudging anyone and everyone for more pets, and hogging the whole bed. He might do best in a home with only older teens or adults because he does not seem to be a fan of rough housing. He will let you know when he doesn't feel like playing! He does not like my big dog's attempts to play with him (play bows, pawing near him, etc.) he really hasn't minded my dogs at all and shows appropriate responses and communication with them. When they've been barking at a delivery person or someone at the door he's let out one or two soft "boofs but is very quiet and not at all yappy. He has enjoyed his meals a lot but has not been very treat motivated. He has passed up on or spit out most treats I've given him, with the exception of very small soft treats which he eats about half the time. He does have a good appetite for his food at meal times. He loves the yard, and runs through and rolls over the grass. His signature move is to kick up dirt and grass with his hind feet after peeing. His upper lip sometimes gets stuck on his teeth, giving him a funny accidental snarl of sorts which is precious. He has had no accidents, has slept through the night in my kid's bed; and displayed great potty habits. Due to his chill, loving, low-drama demeanor he is a great dog to bring out to dog-friendly breweries, restaurants, etc. but due to his small size requires a little more supervision to make sure he's safe. I also think he'd be a great dog to come to work with someone or to live somewhere with shared walls like an apartment since he's not barky. When people come home Turner leads the greeting squad, jumping up and down and ready to catch up on cuddles his missed out on while you were gone. He loves wagging his little stub of a tail enthusiastically! He is a good mix of mature but down for a good time! He loves to jump on comfy surfaces and does so quick and gracefully. He loves to SNUGGLE and will be your own personal Turner blanket at night. If you're looking for a loyal snuggle bug with plenty of life and love to give- Turner will love to be your furever family.
