Hi, I'm Benny!Hi there! I'm a happy-go-lucky puppy with a heart as big as my zoomies. I love toys, adventures, snacks... basically anything that makes life exciting! I'm always ready to make you smile with my goofy antics.Since I'm still a puppy, I'm learning all the important "grown-up dog" skills. I'll need a family that's excited to teach me good manners, keep me active, and help me become the best version of myself. The good news? I'm eager to learn, I love making my people happy, and with a little patience, consistency, and lots of treats, I'll grow into an amazing lifelong companion. If you're looking for a fun-loving best friend who's equal parts cuddly, silly, and full of potential, I just might be your perfect match. Great addition to any large breed puppy home without children. Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: Tan Age: 0yrs 6mths 1wks

Story
Brandon is a total sweetheart! He is very aware of his size (88 lbs) and is careful to be gentle around children. Brandon is a very curious boy and would do well with someone who can help him come out of his shell. It takes him some time to warm up to other dogs in the home, but once he does he invites them to play with curiosity and love. He is house-trained, and he’s happy to chill at home with some toys until you get back from work. Brandon enjoys going on multiple daily walks, where he loves to spend time exploring the world around him. He’s making great progress with his leash manners; it helps that he loves being distracted by attention and cuddles. Brandon’s favorite hobby is asking for treats, and you’ll often find him eyeing your food when you’re snacking. He also loves snuggling up on the couch after a long day. If there was a gold medal for couch snuggles, it would be his! (CY)

Story
Cosmos is an approximately 50 lb teenaged Doberman/American Bulldog mix (according to a DNA test). Cosmos is playful and energetic and needs a lot of exercise to be happy! He LOVES to play with other dogs, so a home with a playful dog friend would be an added bonus! Cosmos is fully house trained and does well with new people in a neutral setting. He walks well on leash and has been doing great with crate training. Cosmos, true to his breed mix, is fiercely loyal and can be protective of his space and his people. He can be overwhelmed if there is a lot of activity and may do best in a quiet neighborhood. Because he can be rough and rambunctious in his play, and because he can be protective of his space, Cosmos would do best in a home with adults or kids 12+ only. Live in a more quiet area? Have a resident dog? Cosmos would love to meet you!

Story
Curtis is a gorgeous ~90 lb Doberman. Typical for his breed, Curtis is very intelligent and very loyal. Curtis forms deep bonds with his chosen people. He is an energetic young dog and loves playing with toys. Curtis would do best with another dog in the home or plenty of opportunities to socialize with other dogs. Curtis is house-trained and generally does well on leash; however, he can become overstimulated in busy environments and would do best in a quiet setting away from high traffic areas. Curtis would love a home with someone who has experience with Dobermans or similar breeds, or has done their research. If you're interested, please fill out an application!

Story
I am at Oakland Animal Services in kennel Dog Adoption:8Adam – Charming, Goofy, and Eager to Learn Adam is a 4-year-old Doberman Pinscher mix weighing 67 pounds with an endearing, slightly awkward charm that makes him impossible not to smile at. Smart and food motivated: Adam happily shows off his “sit” and “down” in exchange for treats—and he’s not picky about the rewards! People-oriented companion: After a quick stroll, Adam often checks back in with his handler, weaving between your legs as you walk just to stay close. While he may take a moment to fully warm up, he enjoys pets and companionship. Playful and enthusiastic: Adam sometimes bounces up or shows a little juvenile mouthiness when excited. He’s making great progress learning to pause and sit politely, and he has shown interest in playing with toys. Refining leash manners: He may pull moderately on leash but is very manageable and enjoys exploring while staying engaged with his person. Adam would do best with appropriately matched dogs or as a solo dog with dog friends outside the home. August 7, 2026, 2:11 am

Story
Meet Hugh, a 3-year-old Doberman with gorgeous floppy ears and a big heart! This handsome cuddle bug is the definition of a gentle giant. He loves leaning in close for snuggles (he'll even lean on strangers he just met!), giving sweet kisses, and soaking up all the affection you’re willing to give. Hugh is eager to please and thrives on connection, making him a wonderful companion for someone looking for a loyal, loving best friend. He's also super treat motivated and has been taking obedience classes with his wonderful foster, where he loves learning new commands and tricks. So far he knows his name, sit, stay and down and he's working on watch (eye contact) and leave it. He walks well on leash and knows "heel" and loves being out with his people, happily greeting other dogs and people. He is reactive to cars when out on walks or riding in a car and will bark and lunge at them. He's working on this and because he's a quick learner, we think we consistent training, he'll be able to overcome this. Given his size, he needs a strong handler to keep hold of him when he's reactive. Hugh is great with other dogs. He gets a little anxious being left alone for long periods, so he would be happiest in a home where his people are around most of the time while he works on this. He would also love a home with a secure yard or where he's able to get out regularly for walks. He's already potty trained and crate trained and sleeps peacefully through the night in his crate. If you're looking for a soft-hearted, affectionate Doberman who just wants to be by your side, Hugh is ready to meet you.
