AXL is a terrific 1-year old dog. We absolutely adore him! He's a total rock star at the dog park and his off-leash recall is fantastic! He LOVES all dogs (A LOT) and knows how to play well with any dog. He's probably a purebred Doberman Pinscher and very sweet, lovable and affectionate with people. He can sit and has very good manners. He's needs daily exercise and playtime at the dog park or hikes, but after he's totally chill. He loves doggy daycares and is very popular with the big dogs! He's highly responsive to training and has a very gentle mouth when taking treats. He is a very nice pup who loves being around people and bonds super fast. He's crate-trained too! Like all young dogs, he could use continued training, and consistent exercise to become the best adult dog ever. He's fantastic at dog parks, and daycare and rides well in cars. And he loves running around at the beach! If you're a hiking person he would be a fantastic companion for that because he stays right with you. AXL would do best in a home that understands large breeds. He loves dogs so another dog would be just fine for him! Children in the home should be older because he's such a big boy (he's good with all kids!) and we've found from his foster that he's a cat chaser so no cats or small animals like chinchillas. AXL's been staying at a doggy daycare where they are working with him and training him daily.

URGENT -this sweet girl needs a home!! We are trying to help a family find a new home for their 18 month old female doberman Gabbana. They got her as a puppy, and she has been raised around kids and is a sensitive and sweet girl. Although she has spent a lot of time outdoors, she is calm and well-behaved in the house - she's also crate trained. Gabanna is super affectionate to her people and also an excellent watch dog of the home like dobermans are! Gabanna is not fond of other dogs and needs to be an only dog. She is very food motivated and loves to play ball at the park. Gabanna is on the smaller side around 45 pounds. A gentle giant with exceptionally long legs, this Doberman Pointer mix is a splendiferous hound who likes walks, runs, hikes, dogs of all sizes, humans of all faiths, children, and stairs. He can reduce you to blissful rubble by placing his elegant snout on your knee and staring into your heart. Stare back and let the adventure begin. Here's some notes from his foster: Jerry is a dream come true. He is incredibly warm and friendly to everyone he meets. He loves to carry a stuffed toy in his mouth and wouldn't dare shred it to pieces. He has manners, no begging from Jerry! When I've left him at home alone for short stints I find him right on his bed where I left him. He is house trained :) He loves a long walk or even a jog! I think Jerry would love to have a backyard and possibly some doggie siblings. He does need training on the leash and can be reactive if provoked, but with a little patience and training he will be just fine. He is a big boy so be prepared to use your muscles while he's on the leash. He is a big cuddle bug and loves to sleep in the big bed with me.

He is very food motivated, so is easy to train. Despite his young age, Ryan is well behaved, with no barking or chewing issues; and he is crate trained to sleep overnight. His favorite pastime is hanging out with doggie pals in the park and the daily walks. Ryan is loyal to his master; he could be a little shy when introduced to strangers, but is easy-going and comfortable around familiar faces. He gets along well with dogs and cats. Ryan’s rescue story: Like other strays, puppy Ryan was under the feeding of volunteers for the first five months of his life, until one day he was injured by a car. Treatment for him in the hospital was successful and he soon resumed normal activities and stayed in the shelter until he was one year old. When he was finally put under the care of a foster family, Ryan was very timid and skittish, but showed great improvement in socializing in just a few months under the care of his foster family. Now he’s fully adapted to the busy streets in the city and can walk confidently when lead by a leash.
