I am at Oakland Animal Services in kennel Dog M:1This dog is available to meet by appointment only. Teriyaki is a 2-year-old, 88-pound Doberman mix with a confident, curious personality. He enjoys exploring and taking in new environments, often following his nose and checking out the sights and sounds. He knows sit, takes treats fairly gently, and seeks out reassurance and attention during outings. Volunteers note that he leans in for pets, rests his head on welcoming hands, and sometimes offers playful, puppy-like hops when he gets excited. Teriyaki will do best with an adopter who has experience with large, strong dogs and can provide structure, positive reinforcement training, and consistent guidance. Meet Duke! Duke is a big, lovable, energetic grey/blue Doberman pup who knows how to relax once he’s had enough exercise. House-trained and crate trained, Duke is slowly learning good leash manners, though still prone to some pulling when excited. He wants to play with every person and dogs he meets, both big and small. He’s outgoing, and very much the social butterfly. Duke’s foster describes him as a sweet, goofy guy, adaptable, very inquisitive and just wants to please. He gets along very well with foster’s resident dog, and they love playing and napping together. Arlo is a 6/7 year old Doberman mix, around 70 pounds. He is a very loving and incredibly loyal dog with tons of energy. He enjoys all activities outdoors and is a great companion for walks and hikes. Arlo has incredible recall. He would be best in an environment where he could run around and enjoy property (living in a city has been a bit challenging with space). Arlo is extremely protective of his loved ones and is weary of individuals who he believes pose a threat. Outside of this, he's the absolute best companion. My husband and I are expecting our first child in a few months and thus, are not able to take care of him anymore. We want to make sure Arlo is in an environment where he will thrive - somewhere with a loving family who is looking for a wonderfully loyal, loving and energetic dog. He is such a happy boy and deserves all the love in the world. We're happy to do meet and greets and answer any questions you may have. We love Arlo so much and want the best for him.
