He's describes as a friendly, inquisitive young fellow, by the other volunteers and staff. Dog friendly. Lenny's looking for a fresh start on life and will enjoy an active lifestyle. Sure to be a good walking or running partner. Hikes would be his idea of a great afternoon or weekend. His adoption fee is $400 to help cover the medical costs of getting ready for adoption. Rooster is located in TEXAS. There are not enough homes for all the unwanted dogs down there, so he is willing to relocate for a good, loving, forever home. This handsome boy was found as a stray running out in the country. He is approximately 7 months old and weighs 45 pounds. He will probably weigh in the 60-pound range when fully grown. We are not sure of his breed mixture but think he may have some lab and Doberman in him. Rooster has a great personality and disposition. He loves all of the other rescue dogs, big and small. He loves people and will lie at your feet whenever he can. He loves water and the garden fountain is his favorite spot to hang out and keep cool. Rooster is a very sweet and goofy puppy. He is pretty much house-trained and runs to go outside with his buddies. He will need some leash training and would probably do better with a harness. We have no idea of how he is with cats. Rooster loves to run and play with his dog friends and toys. He may not be suitable for a home with small children because he may knock them over when running and playing. Rooster needs a fully fenced-in and secure yard. He will be a great dog for hiking or going to the dog park. He is an active boy and will run around the yard with a toy in his mouth playing tag with his buddies. He likes to be the leader and have everyone chase him. Rooster would do well either as an only dog or with other dogs. Rooster is a healthy and happy boy. He is neutered, fully vaccinated, (DAPP, Bordatella, rabies, canine influenza), and microchipped. He is receiving monthly heartworm and flea/tick preventatives. Roosters' adoption fee includes the cost of ground transport to Hagerstown MD or Quicksburg VA. Rooster is fostered by our friends at Shaggy Dog Rescue and cannot be transported until after he is adopted. Breezy is a 6 year old female Doberman Pinscher. According to her previous owner, Breezy is crate trained and house broken. In her previous home Breezy lived with another dog and they got along well. The previous owner mentioned that Breezy is a rough player and a dog to dog introduction will be beneficial if you have resident dogs currently. Breezy also lived with a cat, but after being swatted at she was afraid of the cat and avoided interacting with them. At 77 pounds, Breezy is hoping for a large fenced in yard to burn off her energy.
