Story
If you want to consider adopting one of the most unusually colored Dobermans ever, then please consider our handsome blonde boy called Moose who  is a 3 ½ year old Dobi and who weighs 75 pounds. He loves to be with his person and sits patiently waiting for you to love him. He lives with a Shepskie, Sheltie and two toy Yorkies. He's great with the  3 YO grandson  and this boy is totally trained in a crate, housebroken, knows commands and walks like a Westminster show dog on a leash most of the time.   There are times he still pulls a little on the leash and could use more work.  He's a fast eater and needs work taking snacks from your hand.  Overall, Moose is such a loving guy with a great personality. His only downfall is he CAN NOT BE AROUND CATS. He will kill a cat and has killed a chicken.   The prey drive for those creatures is high.  Moose mostly  needs someone that can spend good quality time with him and give him the love he deserves. Is you are interested in this blonde Doberman guy who is ready to be a sponge in training and learning then please email us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com   Let’s do this!!! PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.December 3, 2023, 12:39 pm

Story
MEET SAM!!   This silly and happy-go-lucky 14 month old puppy was brought in by animal control for being tied outside with no shelter or food/water. His past has not affected him one bit, and he absolutely loves people and other dogs.   His records say he is a doberman mix, but we don't believe it. Because of his delicious OVERbite, we think he may be part shark! At 43 lbs, he'd fit in any pool or tub, but this land shark hates baths and getting wet in general.    Sam knows 'sit,' 'down,' 'wait,' 'leave it,' and is learning not to pull on a leash. He doesn't want to miss a single smell or opportunity to sniff, so we are teaching him that if he walks nicely, the smell will still be there. It's so hard to be patient when the fresh grass and flowers smell so good!   Sam is house broken and crate trained. He has had a couple of accidents in his crate, but that was due to human error.   Sam's overbite is really something else, and it just makes him so Sam! He does sometimes nibble fingers when taking treats, but he can't help it, so we give him treats on the side of his mouth instead of the front, so fingers are spared.    Sam absolutely loves other dogs and plays well and hard with both male and female dogs his size or smaller. We recommend he go to a home with another dog and with children 12 and up. He will jump up on his person when he comes out of his crate, and we are working on that, but we would hate for Sam to accidentally knock a small child to the ground. Sam's adoption donation fee is $400, which includes spay/neuter, routine vetting and a microchip.  You can apply for Sam by filling out our online application, which is found on our website www.tarashouse.net or www.tarashouse.org.  Please email us at info@tarashouse.net with any questions.November 27, 2023, 2:54 pm

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.Odin is full of life and love.  And it's amazing! He began life in a crack house, where he was attacked with a meat cleaver and lost his tail. The sweetness of his temperament was so strong that no matter what, it was never broken. Saved in a raid, he was taken to a vet and an employee there took him home. He discovered kindness! She has cared for him for 5 years, and quickly discovered Odin was a wonderful dog. He was rapidly well house trained, learned to sit, stay, come, and many tricks. He was curious about cats, but perhpas too curious, so we are asking that he go to a home without a resident cat. He is happiest when he is taken hiking and gets to play in the river. Playing chase and fetch are also favorite activities.  Oh yes, and he has been crate trained, too! If you like big, sturdy boys and want a best friend to take camping, or just out for exercise, Odin would be perfect for you! Show him there are more good people in this world than bad. He will give you a lifetime lease on his whole heart.NOTE:  He has had the best of vetting, since his person works at a vet. He has all his shots and has been already neutered for you.A SPECIAL NOTE TO YOU FROM HIS FOSTER: He has a super deep bark.  He definitely doesn't have separation anxiety, which is great. We find he is too big and strong for small children, so should go to a family without young ones. When he gets excited he will barrel through anything in his way or do playful things which can knock down a  child. He has a preference to be the only dog in the family as in his bad old days other dogs took his food from him and he went hungry many days. He does have some allergies, for which he takes antihistamines. He would do best with an active family, as he is a strong and active dog who loves the outdoors. If you want a dog to play with, hike with, explore with, he would be perfect. He loves attention and both mental and physical stimulation as he is very smart. He is also a very loving and loyal dog with a huge, deep bark, making his presence a deterrant to those unwanted, but has been fine with friends.  If you are interested in Odin, please fill out an application at: https://reachoutrescue.rescuegroups.org/forms/form?formid=4588    Or contact: rorrcanine@gmail.com   *** Click here to sponsor this dog! ***Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 2, 2023, 2:06 pm

Story
Maybe I was named after MARVEL's Nick Fury. Or maybe I was named after the Brad Pitt war movie But one this is for sure - I am NOT fur-y-ous!!! I am a really SWEET boy who loves children and adults, in fact I was the KID'S best friend when I was in my foster home. I was part of their birthday celebrations and was just in HEAVEN with all the kids :) I am looking for a home with older kids because I am a little protective of my toys and snacks- so older kids who understand my boundaries are the best ;) I mean, my chickem nuggets are mine...even though they came from your hand! :) Maybe I am like Nick Fury because I can be a touch overwhelming to older and more timid dogs. I like dogs who are on the same level with me - you get it? ;) While I am not really big, less than 50 lbs, I am essentially 100 pounds of busy and need to be active. No apartment living for me, please! I like space and action and activity and being mentally stimulated - maybe I am a lot like Nick Fury ... hmmm, but nothing that a bunch of adventures wouldn't cure!!! Give me an active family or couple, and I am IN! And by active I mean, running and biking and camping and THROWING the ball for me- over and over please! I LOVE THE BALL! I am healthy and happy boy, and I am racing around waiting for you to race WITH me!!! Come on and adopt me and lets git to gitting!!! Adoption application: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/GDR/Dog Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)
