Hi! I'm Gillis. From his foster: Gillis is an extremely sweet boy who loves to snuggle. He appreciates a calm manner of meeting to boost his confidence as he can is skittish. He is good on a leash but needs to work on pulling especially if he sees a squirrel. He's athletic and agile with energy to burn. He loves to be outside and would enjoy a fenced yard. He needs a lot of exercise and would make a great running partner. Gillis is potty trained, but he marked when initially introduced to our home so watch him closely the first few days to promptly correct the behavior, use a belly band, and I think he'll quickly be a well behaved member of your home without too much fuss. He loves playing with our 4 mo foster puppy and the neighbor dog and is extremely interested in other dogs while on walks. He doesn't know quite what to think of our resident cat who stands his ground and Gillis stays back but will give chase if the cat runs. Seeing how gentle he is with plush toys he may be able to coexist with some cats. I cannot overemphasize how sweet this boy is. He is surprisingly docile if you want to open his mouth and look at his teeth or handle his paws if you've earned his trust. He slept perfectly in a crate the first night he was with us, but bonded very quickly with me and is prone to some separation anxiety so I let him sleep in my bed and he's been great. He has quickly earned my trust around the house though someone has been home with him all day. For an experienced owner without shared walls, Gillis has the potential be a stellar companion.

Hi, my name is Fury! But I'm more like a happy, gentle breeze that wants to have fun! You might recognize my name from the famous character Director Nick Fury of the Marvel movies, I'm kinda like him: I love being the center of attention and don't like it when people take my stuff! I am a big dog! With my mixed Doberman Pinscher/Black Labrador genes I am a whopping 52#/lbs and have a ton of energy and muscle that needs to be worked! Because of this it would be best if I was paired with an active family who knows how to keep a dog mentally stimulated and respects my boundaries well. No apartment living for me please! No cats or small children either! My caretakers have learned some important things about me: I am a chow-hound and will try to eat anything I can get my hands on! So please leave food out of reach from me or I'll swoop it all up. Secondly, I would prefer if people didn't grab things that I have in my mouth, it's mine not yours hehe! Overall, I am a big-hearted dog who wants to go play, be adventurous, have fun with other people and dogs! I am however not such a big fan of car rides, they make my tummy feel sick eww! Forever in Foster CareReina will be a forever foster in DRM's Program and is NOT AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION. Meet Reina! This girl is 7 years old and is handicapable! Reina was originally rescued from a high kill shelter by an all breed rescue. It was apparent she suffered from neurological issues, but nothing could be found on x-rays of her spine. DRM then stepped in and welcomed Reina into our program to get the help needed so she can thrive! Reina was born with a condition that caused the nerves from her back legs to brain to not map completely. Sometimes she can be a bit wobbly and sometimes she suffers from incontinence. She is on a special diet that has helped a lot with her potty issues though! Reina’s favorite activities include snuggling her humans, chewing on bones, going for walks, playdates with her friends and exploring the yard. She also LOVES to chase rabbits and squirrels! When she’s tuckered out, she’ll sunbathe looking out the window or hang out with her foster family. Reina has lived with other dogs and cats – she’s awesome with dogs but can be very curious about her feline friends. Reina is super smart and knows all the basic commands. Her recall is great (as long as she’s not scouting for bunnies or squirrels) and she is very food motivated to learn anything else you’d like to teach her. Sunny was surrendered to DRM in 2018 after her owner passed away and has been loved by her foster mom since then. Sunny is a smart girl and knows all of her basic commands. She also lets you know when she must go outside by pawing at your hand and giving you a quick kiss. She loves to run around in the yard and when she’s tired out, she wants to rest by your side. Sunny wants nothing more than to be by your side and craves attention. Her foster reports that she just wants to be loved and feel safe!
