Kids: Ariel would prefer a no kid home Medical: Currently takes medication for her nervousness Behavior: Affectionate, Friendly, Sweet, Shy Adoption fee: $575 Meet Ariel, a sweet and gentle soul who is looking for her forever home. This beautiful rescue dog may be shy at first, but once you get to know her, she will melt your heart with her affectionate nature. Ariel has had a tough start in life, but she has never let that dampen her spirit. She is always eager to please and loves nothing more than to snuggle up with her humans. Ariel can be a little anxious at times, but with patience and understanding, she will overcome her fears. She does best with females, as she finds comfort in their gentle nature. Ariel loves to go for walks and explore the great outdoors. She is happiest when she is surrounded by those she loves and trusts. Ariel is a special dog who requires a quiet home with no children. She can become anxious and overwhelmed in loud or chaotic environments, and may not be comfortable around small children who may be too energetic or unpredictable for her. To ensure Ariel's happiness and well-being, it's important that her new home is calm and peaceful, with a predictable routine. A home with adults or older children who understand her needs and are willing to give her the space and time she needs to adjust would be ideal for Ariel. By providing her with a safe and secure environment, you'll be helping her to thrive and become the best version of herself. Ariel is currently on anxiety medication to help her settle in and feel more comfortable as she adjusts to her new surroundings. This medication is a temporary measure and is intended to be used only while she is settling in and learning to trust people. As she becomes more comfortable and confident, it's possible that she may no longer need this medication. Despite her past, Ariel has so much love to give. She just needs someone who will give her the chance to show it. If you are looking for a loyal and devoted companion, Ariel is the dog for you. Adopting her will not only change her life, but it will change yours too. Let's give Ariel the happy ending she deserves! Ariel is spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations. If you are looking for the perfect new family member and think your home would be a good match for Ariel, please complete an adoption application here: https://www.ruffstartrescuesociety.com/adoption-application-form and one of our directors will be in contact with you via email within a few business days.

Story
Izzy is an AMAZING girl, with such a lovely personality. She enjoys sleeping on the couch or bed but does not without invitation. She will go into a crate without fuss but has not spent a lot of time in it. Izzy likes to be near people, enjoys walks of any length and will settle into her dog bed quietly if no other activity is happening. She would do well with another dog but is better with male dogs her size. Smaller dogs of any sex are fine. Izzy really enjoys children and all their friends; she is patient and kind. Izzy settles down nicely in the house and appreciates a good couch nap after a fun day of playing. Izzy is fully house trained. This lovely girl deserves all the love and then some!Want to meet Izzy?
