Story
This beautiful blue eyed boy showed up at our acreage a few weeks ago and as it turns out, he came to us from a neighbor who could no longer keep him.He is an incredibly smart, affectionate, and trainable young dog who loves people, other dogs and belly rubs!He is just over 1 year old and we were told he is a purebred Siberian Husky. While he is agile and athletic, he seems pretty laid back for a Husky and not too high energy.Although we would have loved to keep him, he does have the high Husky prey drive and because we live with cats, we have made the decision that the responsible thing to do is find him a home where he can be successful. He has mostly been an outdoor dog and knows and respects boundary collars very well. We bring him indoors too which he loves and has only had one accident in the house. He enjoys playing with other dogs, adores people, is great with kids and has a high willingness to try to please. Let me know if you'd like to arrange a meeting with this stunning cutie

Story
4 year old Lola is a survivor. She was pregnant and living on the side of a river, and surviving from scraps from a stranger. Eventually a kind stranger managed to get her and her puppies into shelter. Lola is a beautiful Mexican special mix – her pups look like small black labs – she may be a shepherd x terrier x lab mix. She’s her own mix of very special girl. Lola is lower energy, but spins in excitement if you might be so kind to toss her a ball, or when her dinner is ready. Check her out here: https://www.instagram.com/pvcaanimalrescue/reel/DR-vk8YksCo/ Lola is careful with strangers at first but also VERY affectionate. Lola isn’t keen to go far – she prefers the safety of the sanctuary – perhaps worried she may be dumped again. She is looking for a quiet loving home. She is healthy, spayed and vaccinated. If you think you might be a fit, we’d love to hear from you at pvcaadoptions@gmail.com. Please check your junk mail for our response.

Story
2.5 year old Husky cross Palomo is looking for his perfect home. Palomo has had a hard start in life – wandering with his mum and siblings as a puppy to survive on food scraps, then survived a hurricane and now awaits a real life from the SPCA PV sanctuary. Palomo is a stunning boy who would like a home with outdoor space as he hasn’t been a city dog – though he walks past cars and trucks and even cows without much fuss. Palomo is playful but selective about his dog friends, and visits cats regularly (sometimes with a bit of zeal). He likes cuddles (though doesn’t always want to be rushed by strangers). He is a smart boy who we’d love to see wandering or running free in a big Canadian space! Palomo weighs 50lbs, is neutered, healthy and vaccinated. If you think you might be his chance at a family, or foster along the way, we’d love to hear from you at pvcaadoptions@gmail.com. Please check your junk mail for our response.

He is an eager to please, clever goofball that is extremely smart, food motivated- playful & enthusiastic. Freddy is FAST, loves routine and is house trained. He knows the basic cues. Skills include: - did we mention he is FAST! He would be GREAT at agility - 10/10 on the cuddle scale - a bit like a house alarm, will bark to alert you (with positive reinforcement he knows to cease when instructed) - 10/10 on bringing joy and enthusiasm to all things in life- plays well with other dogs after proper introduction - loves to learn and work - good with horses, chickens and cats Work in Progress includes: - can be reactive with new dogs if not introduced properly - shy- his early life in the shelter has caused him to be wary of strangers but once he knows you, he warms right up- trust is earned with Freddy, not given automatically Ideal home: - he loves routine - fenced outdoor space he can safely explore - people who will worship him and make him feel safe and loved - humans with experience with shy dogs who can boost his confidence He is healthy, neutered and vaccinated. Story
2.5 year old Husky cross Chiquita is looking for her perfect home. Chiquita has had a hard start in life – wandering with her mum and siblings as a puppy to survive on food scraps, then survived a hurricane and now awaits a real life from the SPCA PV sanctuary. Chiquita is one of the most stunning dogs in the sanctuary, with her unique colouring and caramel eyes. She leans in for snuggles, and falls at your feet for belly rubs with guests to the sanctuary trying to get a taste for real life with someone who loves her as their own. Chiquita is playful and enjoys time with the puppies to feed off their youth. She can be selective with certain dogs, which is common for a girl of her age and we think she’d love a home all to herself. We would love to see her enjoying outdoor space in a cooler climate (Mexico is a pretty hot spot for a husky cross!). Chiquita happily visits regularly with cats – at times a bit excited around them. As she’s spent her early life in sanctuary she’s hasn’t had exposure to kids or big crowds. As a bigger girl, we’d love to see her land somewhere outside the big city. Chiquita weighs 55lbs, is spayed, healthy and vaccinated. If you think you might be her chance at a family, or foster along the way, we’d love to hear from you at pvcaadoptions@gmail.com. Story
Hello, I’m Sebastian 🐾 A 3-year-old Labrador–Doberman mix, about 27 kilos of love, elegance, and joy. I’ve got the long, lean body of a Doberman and the warm, food-loving heart of a Labrador — truly the best of both worlds. My journey hasn’t always been easy. I spent too long in a city shelter and eventually found myself on the euthanasia list. Just in time, Dream Tails stepped in and gave me a second chance, bringing me to their training center — and now I’m ready for the next chapter of my life. I get along wonderfully with other dogs and communicate beautifully with them, showing my feelings clearly and setting boundaries in a calm, respectful way. I walk nicely on leash and don’t pull, making our walks something we can both enjoy. I’m often told I’m very handsome — but what truly sets me apart is my heart. I’m overflowing with love, and every bit of attention makes my heart feel like it might burst. I can’t wait to experience the comfort of a warm home and to finally feel safe with my forever family. Because I haven’t lived in a home before, I might show a little puppy mischief at first as I adjust. With patience, guidance, and understanding, I’ll settle in and thrive — I promise my love will make it all worth it. All I’m dreaming of is a family who will give me time, kindness, and cuddles… especially cozy moments on the sofa with my mommy and daddy. 🫶🏻 Could you be my forever family?
