I like to cuddle, play, and join in on conversations whenever I get a chance (some may say I talk back). One of my favourite times of the day is being in my foster parents arms and just being loved on. I’m more on the quiet side, and easily content. I’ve been working on my basic commands and my foster parents say I’m a quick learner!Likes:Playing in the backyard with the residents dogs, going for walks, playing with my toys.Dislikes:Loud noises. Special request: I have a disability that has caused me to lose feeling in my back end, we are unsure if I was born like it or if I had an incident when I was younger. I wear diapers throughout the day and night, but it’s easily managed! Kennel trained: Yes, I am very comfortable in my kennel. House trained: To the best of my ability. He recognizes to go to the back door and asks to be let out. Dogs: Yes, I love to play.Cats: Not tested, but the humans think I would be fine.Children: Yes, I enjoy spending time with the teenagers in the household.

She likes her big foster dog siblings in the home and likes to play with them. she’s also living with a cat in her foster home. She doesn’t pay much attention to the cat. Starburst had a rough start in life and has come a long way in her journey to being healthy. She has been treated for demodex mange (not contagious) and is starting to grow her beautiful fur back!Housetraining is a work in progress, but it’s coming a long. She’s starting to get it. She goes in the kennel at night and is sleeping through the night. With positive reinforcement, she is very eager to please. She just wants to get as much love and attention as she possibly can. Hi, Barbara Streisand About me:I had a very hard start in life. I was kept in a cage with little positive human interaction or affection and forced to have puppies. My foster mama is not sure I had ever been outside before coming to IWARS. But despite everything I’ve been through, I am getting braver everyday and ever so slowly learning that people are kind and loving. Things I LOVE: Going for walks in my sling ( I don’t love the cold though). I’m tooscared to walk on a leash and would be a flight risk if I got away. I like the kennel, but also like to curl up under something (like the couch). It makes me feel safe. I also love Wet food and freeze dried treats! I learning all about toys. Things I DON’T LOVE:Being chased, Busy, high-traffic environments and Fast movements — they can be scary for me. I’m also very frightened by loud and unfamiliar sounds.My special request: I’m looking for a quiet, low-traffic home with patient, gentle and loving people who understand that I’ve had a rough start and will need time to continue learning that life is safe. I will likely never be an extrovert dog and may never like to venture too far away from my safe places. My foster has noticed I do love the other pets in the house and like to hang out with them. I would love a friendly doggy pal or someone who is home a lot!Kennel trained: YES! My kennel (or somewhere quiet) is my safe space.House trained: Not quite.
