Chewy came to us as a result of an investigation in which we were granted custody by the court. He has been through some trials but picked up on the shelter routine quickly and is a sweet boy with a desire to be loved. He gets along with select females but does not get along with any males or cats. Chewy would be best as the only male dog in a home with no kids. He is weary of men but warms up eventually.  He has a heard dog menatlity and he will chase after things that he views as a threat to his home. He will need an attentive owner that can keep him contained and work with him on this issue to keep him safe. He loves long walks or runs and is always up for adventures that end in snuggles at home. If you are interested in meeting Chewy and you believe that you have the experience and pateience to work with him as he learns better behaviors, please fill out an application or email us to find out more.  All meet and greets for foster or adoptions should be arranged via email ahead of time to give our staff time to prepare. Auto was found at the shelter on the morning of 11/28/2024. He was left in a kennel and our team was unable to identify or contact any owners. That morning, he was very weary of us, but with careful patience, and alot of treats, Auto warmed up to us by the end of the day. He is a total lover once he is familiar and comfortable with new people. He is very big and is best as an only dog with no cats in the home. He has been around kids, but needs his boundaries respected. Kids who hang on him, crawl on him or get in his face would not be a good fit. Auto loves walks and is very treat motivated. He knows commands like sit, down and shake. Just like many Rottwielers, Auto needs alot of stimulation and toys to keep busy. Attention is needed to avoid destructive behavior. He is eager to learn and would love to go on lots of adventures, especially swimming or playing in any kind of water. He needs a home that can cater to his needs and understands his breed. If you have experience with Rotties and understand how to love and train this big guy, please submit an application or send us an email to learn more.
