Story
Katy-Perry is an adorable, 1 yr old, little girl. Katy-Perry weighs 13 lbs. and is fully grown. Katy-Perry is microchipped, spayed, up-to-date with all of her shots, dewormed and is on a monthly flea and tick treatment. Google says her breed blend is Terrier with Chihuahua and a little Heinz 57 mixed in. All we know is that she is a bundle of sugar wrapped in an adorable fur package. She loves her humans and greets them with joy and plenty of tail wags. She enjoys interacting with new friends and learning new things. If you have a treat in your hand to share with her she’s going to have fun with you! Katy-Perry gets along well with small, gentle animals but prefers the company of her people. She has an endearing personality, loves cuddles and belly rubs, and is a great snuggler. When not melting hearts for a treat, she can be found inspecting the perimeter of the garden and sniffing around outside. Favorite toy: Squeaky toys Favorite food: Hard boiled egg Pet peeve: Going night night. Known accomplices: The squirrels on “squirrel patrol.” Naughtiest deed: Checking the perimeter fencing for weaknesses. Favorite pastime: Learning new things Back story: Found stray and brought to a shelter, then rescued by KenMar Rescue *** KATY-PERRY. ADDITIONAL DETAILS: The following information is the most recent update we have received from Katy-Perry’s foster parents. We have made this information available directly on our website to help you, our adopters, learn more about Katy-Perry prior to inquiring about a meet & greet. Please read thoroughly before reaching out to us—this will help reduce the number of emails we receive every day and in turn, allow us to respond to the emails we do receive more quickly! Please note that a dog's behavior often varies from one environment to another, and a decompression period in a new environment can last days to months. General Personality: Katy-Perry is shy with new people but will usually let them pet her after sniffing. Daily Routine: 8:00am- go out for pee 8:30am- eat 9:00am- cuddles 10:00am- play! 12:00pm- snacks 2:00 nap 4:00 play 5:30- dinner 6:00pm- go out for pee 7:00pm- tv time and wind down 9:00-10:00- bed time Is the dog housebroken? Katy-Perry is getting familiar with the routine, floor plan and inside-house boundaries. Katy-Perry prefers grass and is given plenty of access to relieve herself outside. Katy-Perry would be a great candidate for a doggy door as she’s very clever. House Training Progress: She’s great at going potty outside. Behavior Around Dogs, Cats, or Kids: She’s good with dogs. Curious at first but then loves to play. Not interested in dogs who aren’t interested in her. Can be resource possessive with food and toys. Energy Rating (1 = very high; 5 = very low): 2 Leash Walking Rating (1 = difficult; 5 = perfect): 2 Leash Behaviors: Social puppy that wants to please and smell everything. Typical puppy behavior, loves to explore. Needs patience, redirection and attention. Slowly learning the routine. Crate Rating When Left Alone: 3 - is currently in an open crate at bedtime that is surrounded by a closed x-pen. Does the dog sleep through the night? Yes, especially if fatigued due to playtime. Other Quirks: She likes to be at your feet when you are working from home. That’s her favorite spot. She wants to be the best helper. What makes him/her happy? Attention, food, patience, training, mental, social and physical activities. The usual stuff that makes every being happy. What makes him/her nervous or unhappy? She is growing more confident everyday. She is slowly becoming more independent and relaxed. Growing to realize that her current and future humans will never abandon her. Other Displayed Behaviors: Sleeps more deeply at night if she’s had a full day of physical activity. Current Walking Device: Leash, harness and collar Currently Eating: Taste of the Wild Bison kibble with one smashed hard boiled egg and small spoonful of canned pumpkin at each meal. Katy-Perry is fed twice a day with healthy snacks in between. *** KenMar Rescue is a 501c3 charitable organization. Donations go towards the care and feeding of our orphans. Please consider transportation logistics to meet (and possibly adopt) your new family member. Also, if things do not work out, please bear in mind that you would be responsible to return the orphan back to us. ❤️Vet, petsitting, future medical expenses, etc., for the life of the pet will be your responsibility. As pet parents, please consider these commitments before applying. *** If you are interested in submitting an adoption application for Katy-Perry, please email: info@KenMarRescue.org and write “Request for Adoption Application for Katy-Perry,” in the subject line. Story
Tuco is an energetic 6-year-old small spaniel mix. He’s sweet, affectionate, and loves people—he’ll happily sit in your lap for hours and soak up all the pets you can give. Some highlights about Tuco: Potty trained (just fixed, so he’s wearing a belly band to prevent licking) Walks well on leash with no pulling, and stays calm around other dogs Enjoys brisk 30-minute walks, then he’s ready to relax Good with older kids (like 12+) but may play bite or jump, so he’s probably best in a home without small children Quiet pup—he’s only barked once (for an Amazon delivery!) He’s ready to find his forever home just in time for the holidays. While we usually focus on Cocker Spaniels, every dog is precious—and Tuco is looking for a family who will adore him as much as he adores them. He is currently being fostered in Los Angeles.   ##2568399##

Ollie is a high energy 2 year old English Cocker. He loves to play and play and play, His favorite game is fetch with a ball. He gets along with some dogs but not all. He prefers people but at the same time needs a minute to get introduced. He would do best in a calm expirenced home that can work on his basic manners. He is not a bad boy just very green and like all teenagers, needs to learn bounderies.   Ollie, really is a lovely boy, knows sit and shake, walks ok on a leash and can walk past a bunch of barking dogs without barking back. He needs an adopter.  Ollie is currently in Jamestown ready for the next chapter in his life. His fee is $500 ##2363101##

Story
Perlita is the definition of calm, cozy companionship. At around 13 years young and just 8 lbs, she’s a tiny senior who has mastered the art of relaxation. Her favorite activity? Snoozing peacefully while the world goes on around her. She’s so mellow that the other dogs in her foster home hardly even notice she’s there—she simply enjoys her quiet little bubble of comfort and rest. Perlita would thrive in a low-key home where she can continue living her gentle, peaceful life. She’s perfect for someone looking for a sweet, undemanding companion who brings a calming presence just by being there. If your idea of the perfect friend is one who’s happy to nap beside you and keep life simple, Perlita is ready to meet you. Located in Jamestown, CA ##2710724##
