Story
Like any great old man, Walter has his preferences — and he owns them completely. Soft food only, please. He is living his best gummy, toothless life and has absolutely no complaints. This sometimes-talkative, scruffy gentleman takes his time. Reserved at first, Walter opens up on his own terms — but once he does, watch out. He transforms into a full-on love bug, and on the right day, he'll hit you with zoomies that would impress a dog half his age. Agile for an old man doesn't quite cover it. Walter is an individual. He's perfectly content doing his own thing — independent, unbothered, dignified — but he'll also show up for a cuddle when the mood strikes. He loves sitting outside, soaking up the world at his own pace, and there's nothing he values more than a soft bed to call his own at the end of the day. We think Walter is absolutely worth the wait. He just needs someone patient enough to let him decide that for himself. Could that be you?

Story
Meet Turtle! 🖤🐾 With his sleek, shiny black coat and expressive amber eyes, Turtle is as handsome as he is entertaining. This teenage pup is full of energy, curiosity, and always ready for his next adventure. If there's one thing Turtle loves more than anything, it's toys—especially the soft, fabric kind! He's even mastered the art of playing by himself, happily tossing his toys into the air and pouncing after them, turning any room into his own personal playground. When he's not busy inventing games, Turtle loves spending time with his people. He enjoys a good pet, and is always ready for fun. He's also incredibly food motivated, so if you've got treats, you'll have his full attention! If you're looking for a playful, active companion with a goofy personality and endless enthusiasm, Turtle is ready to bring fun, and plenty of toy-tossing entertainment to your home.

Story
Meet Waffles! 🐾 Just like his name suggests, Waffles is warm, sweet, and impossible not to love. This charming pup is down for just about anything as long as it involves the outdoors and a friend by his side — and he's quickly become a favorite among staff and volunteers alike. Waffles is friendly with other dogs and walks great on a leash, though don't be surprised if his curiosity gets the better of him — he loves exploring and taking in everything around him. He's still learning the ropes of indoor life, especially when it comes to those tricky slick floors, but his very own "magic carpet" (a trusty yoga mat rolled out just for him) has been helping him build confidence with every step. He's already made amazing progress! With his captivating eyes and even sweeter personality, Waffles is looking for a family who will be patient as he continues adjusting to indoor living, and who won't mind stopping for extra belly rubs along the way. Could that be you?

Story
Meet Doug — aka Scooby Doug! Doug is a big, handsome goofball — and we mean that in the absolute best way. If you look at him and think "wait, is that Scooby Doo?" — you are not wrong, and you are not alone. The resemblance is uncanny, the nickname is official, and the personality absolutely delivers. This solid boy does his own thing at his own pace — calm on walks, cool and unhurried, taking in the world like a guy who has nowhere to be and all day to get there. Don't mistake his stoic exterior for disinterest though — one of our trainers has taken to calling him an emotional support dog, and once you spend time with him you will completely understand why. Doug is looking for a patient home that will appreciate him exactly as he is. A dog intro will be needed if you have a pup at home. For the right family though, Scooby Doug is going to be the best thing that ever happened to them. Are you ready?
