Sadie was abandoned at our shelter in the middle of a cold night, scared and alone. After all she has been through, she underwent surgery and is now healing beautifully. Her spirit is shining again, and she’s finally ready for a home where she can live out her golden years in peace, comfort, and love.Sadie is about 10 years old, a sweet medium-sized Lab mix, and truly one of the gentlest souls you’ll ever meet. She does wonderfully with other dogs, but she isn’t comfortable around small children and is selective with cats, so an adult-only or older-kids home would be her perfect fit.Because she’s a senior girl and has weak bladder muscles, she does need to be let out more often for potty breaks, so someone who is home more frequently would be ideal. She just wants a routine, a soft bed, and someone who will be there for her.We’ve loved watching her personality blossom — she now plays with toys, carries them proudly, and even tries to share them with us. Seeing her come out of her shell has been nothing short of magical.We adore her, and we know you will too. His siblings have since been adopted, leaving Duck behind… and he’s been struggling ever since. Watching him sit alone where his brother and sister used to be has truly broken our hearts.Duck is a little older, a little set in his ways, and we love him for it. He’s quirky, playful, and full of personality. He loves his toys, loves to run, and once he decides you’re safe, he bonds deeply — the kind of loyalty you can feel. He just needs a moment to warm up, and then he’s your boy.He’s good with cats, and while he can be a bit picky with other dogs, slow introductions can make all the difference. Duck would also do well with kids 12 and up who understand how to give him space as he settles in.Right now, being the last one left has been hard on him. He’s lonely, confused, and waiting — hoping someone finally chooses him.
