Story
We are making progress and I'm able to pet her head and she actually comes back for more pets. Slowly I've gained her trust. It's wonderful to see that the fear has left her eyes. She's been tolerating visitors that stop by and making eye contact with them. Such a great improvement. She really loves other dogs and does great with all of them. She is also wonderful with cats, especially with my old 21 year old cat. Playful but gentle. Tig Tig loves her! Oakley is about 3 years old and weighs about 35 pounds, medium size. Oakley has been on an adventure at the dog house. She was in boarding for two months after her pelvic orthopedic surgery. It takes awhile to gain her trust but so very happy she’s making eye contact with me. I told her that I wished she could speak English and tell me everything that was on her mind. I’ll patiently waiting for a reply. Right now we are just chilling and learning one another. She’s been fully vetted, spayed, current on all her vaccines and preventatives. If interested in this girl please send us an email and we'll forward you an application. saveonepet@gmail.com Save 1 Pet is a 501 (c) 3 approved charity committed to helping homeless animals. Story
Eli is a gentle, sweet, and loving dog. He is a year old and about 28lbs.  He loves to cuddle, and he’ll happily spend hours by your side soaking up all the love and attention you can give him once he knows you are a safe place.  Eli is a special dog with a heart of gold. Eli is very shy at first, and will need a home that understands he will take time to warm up to them. Treats help him come around.  Once he does though, he is your permanent side kick. He does prefer the company of ladies more- lol! He would do best in a home where someone works from home, is retired, or a stay at home mom/dad. If you open your home and your heart to this sweet boy, you’ll be rewarded with unconditional love and devotion. Eli loves playing and interacting with other dogs. His forever home will need to have active dog/dogs for him to play with, and help him transition into the new environment.  Eli is also good with cats. Can we talk about how cute this little one is?! I mean check out that face. Eli loves running and playing with his fur siblings, and chewing on a good toy. He is also good lounging on the couch for an afternoon nap.  He is kennel trained and leash trained. Eli is smart and treat motivated to continue learning/training. He is completely vetted and ready for his perfect forever home. Vetting includes spaying/neutering, microchip, rabies as well as all vaccinations, and has been on preventatives. If you have any questions, please email us at: newbeginnings_animalrescue@yahoo.com You can apply to adopt Eli here: www.newbeginningsanimalrescue.netVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 29, 2025, 2:16 pm

Story
Hello, my name is Rosco! My tail is ALWAYS wagging and a smile finds its way on my face! I make an effort to wiggle and pitter-patter in a little dance as a show of love for my family. Oh! Guess what! I LOVE swimming!! My family has taught me a few tricks, too! I can swim and dive down to the bottom of the pool to retrieve my toys. This game is my FAVORITE! I  also know how to play catch and sit on command. However, it should be known that I don’t do well with cats; they are just too tempting to chase. I love to play, take walks, and enjoy a good snuggle/nap. I am good at laying close, and I think I personally make a great companion. I am often told what a good boy I am. I’ve been crate trained as well; it has become my place of rest and calm. I am housebroken and walk good on a leash. I am 10 months old, 35 pounds, and ready for my forever family. He is fully vetted. Vetting includes spay/neuter, microchip, rabies and all puppy vaccinations. His adoption fee is $300.
