Story
Call Me Foxy Roxy If my sweet personality does not captivate you, my eyes surely will. I am a husky mix, a super duper smart one. I get along with dogs who are friendly and have good manners, although I will admit I like being the leader. I had a home but I was not happy there and I escaped the yard every chance I got. My mom was very ill and she did not have time for me. So I went looking for another home. That’s how I ended up in rescue. I promise not to run away if you love me and pay attention to me, and give me treats when I am a good dog. I am crate trained and house trained. I am 6-7 years old and weigh 50 lbs. My fur has a gorgeous shimmer and don’t you just love my baby blues? The ideal home for Roxy would have Husky experience. Story
Meet Pauletta: A Strong and Sweet Survivor Pauletta is a striking fawn and white English Bulldog pit mix with a heart as big as her muscles. At around 6 to 7 years old and weighing about 60 lbs, Pauletta is as strong as an ox—she’s got the power of a linebacker and could easily pull a grown man off his feet! Even a pinch collar doesn’t slow her down. Despite her strength, Pauletta is one of the sweetest dogs you’ll ever meet. She adores massages and will happily relax by your side when given some love and attention. Pauletta’s story is one of resilience. She was confiscated as part of a cruelty case when she was just about a year old, but that hasn’t dimmed her spirit. Now, she’s ready for a forever home where she can be safe and loved. Because of her strong personality, Pauletta isn’t great with other dogs. She tends to be a bit of a bully, nudging them around as if to challenge them, so she’s best suited for a home where she can be the only pet. Due to her strength and temperament, she should be exercised in a backyard rather than on the street. If you’re looking for a strong, loving companion who has overcome adversity and is ready to be your loyal sidekick, Pauletta is your girl! Story
Hi! My name is Gruber, but everyone calls me Griffin (Or Griff or Big G!). I heard that I am the 2nd longest dog in the MAS system, but I don't know why because I'm told I am incredibly handsome! You should know that I am not a big fan of other dogs. They make me anxious, so as you can imagine, being at the shelter was very stressful. Luckily, my now foster mom played with me in the yard and decided to bring me home with her, and that has been great. When I first went to my foster home, they always tried to pet me and love on me, and I didn't understand this "cuddling" when we could be playing instead. Then I figured out how incredible belly rubs are, and now I like to get those all the time! I try to crawl into foster mom's lap, but it's a hard fit but worth the effort. I learned really quickly that I potty outside, and proud to say I never have accidents! I am a homebody. I am happiest in the comfort of my own space. I love having a backyard where I can play, run, and feel safe. I would enjoy a home where I can watch sports and movies with you or watch you play video games. I am also good at entertaining myself with a Benabone or staring at shadows on the wall while my foster mom works on the computer. Some of my likes are belly rubs, peanut butter-filled Kongs, and playing keep away! Im the champ at keep away. As soon as foster dad gets home, I look for the closest toy I can find so we can play, and I always win! You see, I am a VERY happy boy. I prefer to be the only pet in my home since other dogs make me anxious. If you think you would be the home I've been waiting for, just let my foster mom know!" Story
Rocky is a sweet, lovable goofball. He is 18 months old and has a little boy's exuberant heart. He loves snuggles, but will stay off the furniture if you don't want a lap dog. He loves animals of all sizes and gets excited to meet new friends, but is easily controlled by voice. The baby learns fast! He knows basic commands and is learning to walk on a lease but isn't reactive. He is curious about feline friends but is very submissive. Rocky is house broken and kennel trained, but loves being outside with family. He loves car rides, water, playing ball, snuggling, and chewing appropriately now. He enjoys bullies and bones. He is food motivated but is not aggressive or protective. Rocky enjoys a good spa day with a bath or shower, nail trim, and polishing those pearly whites. Rocky needs an active family to adore that will love him forever.
