Story
Max is a graduate of our dog training program at Northeastern New Mexico Correctional Facility. His handler writes: Hello, I'm Max, and I would like to tell you a little about myself, and hopefully you'll take me home with you. I know I'm part boxer but unsure of what else I am. I will admit I am shy in the beginning, but once I get to know you, I am the goofiest, most playful, loving, and loyal dog you'll ever meet, especially if you give me treats. I'll do all kinds of tricks for meats or sweets, and the tricks I know are sit, lie down, stay, left shake, right shake, high fives, knucks, bow, play dead or "bang," sit pretty (but I need a little assistance with that, as my balance is off), left spin, and right spin. I absolutely love getting the top of my head scratched, along with my neck and butt. I am housetrained, so you don't have to worry about me going to the bathroom in the house. I would be great for a family, as I do not bark or bite or jump on people, and I play well with other dogs, too. I do not like loud noises, and I'm not too fond of fast-moving objects, either, and that's pretty much it for dislikes. The last thing I think you should know is I'll cuddle with you all day if you let me, and who could say no to this face? I know I couldn't if I were you. Please take me to my new home. Maximus Goofapodimus out. :)

Story
Petey is a graduate of our dog training program at Northeastern New Mexico Correctional Facility. His handler writes: "Petey loves to be petted and is a happy, loyal dog. He is perfect for a one-person owner. He loves to play with other dogs, but because of his fierce loyalty to his primary owner, he may at times show resistance to anyone other than his primary owner attempting to walk or put a leash on him. With time and love, he has proven he can overcome this limitation. Petey knows all his basic commands and a couple of tricks as well. Petey deserves a loving forever home. Please take some time to meet him today! Thank you."

Pow pow is a sweet girl who came in with her 4 puppies. Her puppies have already been adopted and now it's her turn to find a forever home. She seems to be housebroken and loves to play outside and spend time with people. She is dog selective but lived with a male dog, before she came to the rescue, so a meet and greet is necessary to make sure it's a good fit.
