Story
I got Moose when he was 8 weeks old. He got attacked by another dog during a walk when he was a you pup so he is very dog aggressive AT FIRST. Once he knows he's not in danger, he's just another one of the pack. And I mean that initial anxiety with other dogs can be done and over with in 5 minutes. But it will for sure happen. He loves being a wild dog, getting out and running through the woods and LOVES GOING FOR WALKS, but he loves his freedom too. He's great with cats when properly introduced and has become very very loyal to our son. He's just great with kids. I don't really want to rehome him but we cannot take him with us and we have to move by the 2nd of May. He is one of the best family dogs. I have ever seen but his anxiety really gets the best of him. My only option besides rehoming him quickly is euthanasia. As none of the adoption agencies will take him because of his initial dog aggression. He deserves more than that. He'd be such a good dog for the right home.

Story
Meet Ranger, a gentle soul with a heart full of love, who's been through a dark and stormy time in his life, but he came out the other side as a perfect gentleman! This handsome brown beagle mix, with his soulful eyes and silky fur, is a male neutered dog of 4 years and weighs around 25 pounds. Fully housetrained and quiet in the crate, Ranger is an easy fella to have in the home. He's looking for someone to open their hearts to a wonderful boy. Ranger's past is a sad story, one that no dog should have to endure. He was abused by his previous owner, and it's left him understandably hand-shy and hesitant to trust humans again, however since he has been in foster care at Happy Bark, Ranger's true personality emerged, and what a happy and friendly boy he is! Despite the pain and fear he's experienced, Ranger remains a sweet and loving boy, one who craves attention and is eager to please. He's a playful pup at heart and loves to romp around with other canine companions. This brave little dog loves other dogs and cats, and he'll thrive in a home where he can be a part of a loving family. So, if you're looking for a loyal companion who'll greet you with wagging tail and a happy face every day, consider giving Ranger a chance. Ranger's adoption fee is $275. Story
Introducing Athena, a gentle soul with a heart of gold. This mixed breed beauty weighs 67 pounds and is a spayed female, with 6-8 years of wisdom etched into her soul. Athena's story is one of resilience and strength. Found as a stray, she has come so far from her humble beginnings and is ready to find her forever home. Though her journey may have been challenging, Athena remains a wonderful mature lady who craves love and affection. Her warm personality will melt your heart, and her eyes will gaze at you with pure adoration. She is a true treasure, a gift that keeps on giving. Athena's foster dad takes her to work with him so she can lounge around in his office while he is busy helping patients. She is a perfect office-mate! Our veterinarian has a few theories on Athena's slanted smile, but it seems to be improving with time. This seemingly temporary effect is a crooked smile, which only adds to her charm. She is a walking testament that life's challenges can be overcome, and that beauty can come from adversity. Walking by Athena's side is a pleasure, for she is great on a leash and knows how to enjoy the simple things in life. She is also compatible with other dogs and cats who share her laid-back demeanor, making her the perfect companion for most households. As you contemplate bringing Athena into your life, know that she is a dog of great character, who will enrich your life in ways you never thought possible. With her affectionate spirit and her gentle heart, she will be a loyal and devoted companion to you for all the years to come. If you are looking for a mature dog who has been through life's ups and downs, and has come out stronger and wiser, then Athena is the dog for you. Give her the chance to love you, and she will become the best thing that ever happened to you. Athena's adoption fee is $275.
