Story
Meet Maybell, a stunning six-year-old Doberman mix whose heart is as big as her loyal spirit. Though she can be initially nervous in new environments, once Maybell knows she is safe, she transforms into a deeply affectionate companion who will never leave your side. She gets along well with most other dogs given a proper introduction, though she is looking for a cat-free home and a calm environment without small children where she can truly relax. While she is still polishing her housetraining and basic obedience, her devotion makes her a focused student. Maybell does struggle with some separation anxiety, so she’s dreaming of a patient adopter who is home more often than not to reassure her that she’s finally found her "forever."For more information, contact the City/County Animal Shelter at (307) 686-5249.

Story
Meet Harley, a 5-year-old Pitbull mix who is the ultimate professional at stealing hearts and warming laps! This sweet, spayed female is the definition of a "velvet hippo"—she’s incredibly affectionate, brilliant at learning new tricks, and is fully housetrained, making her a dream addition to a loving family. Because Harley finds the world a bit more comfortable when she has her humans all to herself, she’s looking for a home where she can be your only pet (no cats or dog siblings, please!). She also suffers from a bit of FOMO and isn't a fan of being left alone, so she’d thrive with a family that’s home more often than not. If you’re looking for a loyal, smart companion who will dedicate 100% of her love to you, Harley is ready to start her forever chapter by your side! For more information, contact the City/County Animal Shelter at (307) 686-5249.

Story
Bear is almost 3 years old. His birthday is February 14th, 2023. We took him in to keep him from going to the shelter at almost a year old., but our lives were very different then. He should probably be a single dog home as he gets very jealous with attention. Hes very and i mean very hyper as he also has husky in him. He HATES being outside for more than a few minutes that it takes him to do his business. Unfortunately he does jump up on people and he cant be left alone as he will find whatever food he can and get into it especially bread. He is also very loyal but needs someone who can be dominate over him ( i am not). He is a licker to. He probably does have anxiety. He is house trained, but He also will be pee on stuff inside if hes mad at u. He has potential to be an amazing dog. He is very smart and can break out of kennels. He can sit but hes not good at staying sitting. He loves to play with his ball. It is his favorite thing and he could do it for hours.

Story
I’ve had him since he was a puppy and he’s been an amazing dog. He’s very smart very loving. He’s never had a problem with people until he got into an altercation with a great Dane. The great Dane started the fight. A couple weeks later, my mother came home from the UK. We were at a rest stop coming home and there was an older lady with two canes she wanted to see beaux and I told her that he was acting a little different lately. She said oh well, let’s see and she came towards him anyways. He jumped up and nipped her on the lip. There was some blood, but it wasn’t that bad. That’s the only issues I’ve ever had with him. After those altercations, I went and got him neutered. He’s always had a good temperament, but he’s been a little different after those two altercations. That was in October 2025 he hasn’t had any altercation since.

Story
This is Honey. A purebred bernese mountain dog. She is a gentle giant, and just turned 1. If you know anything about these dogs, they are high valued because of their nature. Extremely smart, well behaved, great with other animals and livestock as well as children. We have young children, 1, 3, and 4, and Honey has never hurt them with her size, even as a 1 year old puppy. She has no behavior issues. Our hearts hurt to let her go, but at no fault to her own, we cannot keep her. If you think youd be a good fit for her, please reach out. Located in Gillette Wyoming. (xxx) xxx-xxxx .
