Story
Are you hiring? This is working cat is seeking a job in a rural environment such as a farm, stable, or garden center where they can enjoy the freedom of outdoor life with the safety of a familiar place and a committed caretaker. Working cats span the spectrum of sociability, with some cats quite inexperienced and fearful of people, preferring to work from the shadows, and some cats who will eagerly rub against your boot and join you for your outdoor chores. Some working cats may amaze you with the mouse catching antics and athleticism, and some may be more hands off, discouraging pests with their presence and scent. Looking for a particular personality? Ask our team about finding the right cat for your environment. To set your new farm hand up for success, we recommend setting up a cozy, confined space replete with food, water, and litterbox. After a week or two of enjoying the amenities of their new environment they'll feel much safer staying put and getting to work. Have a big job? Ask our team about cats that may enjoy working in pairs or groups. All working cat adoptions are fee-waived, with spay/neuter surgery, vaccinations, microchip, and ear-tip included. Primary Color: Brown Tabby Weight: 10.34 Age: 6yrs 0mths 0wks

Story
Olive is a sweet, spunky 7-year-old with soft, fluffy black fur and stunning green eyes. A staff favorite and proud member of our Lonely Hearts Club, she’s playful, energetic, and just a little mischievous (Okay maybe she's a bit more than a little bit... But who doesn't love mischief?)! Though she had a rough start in life, she’s now full of personality and ready for a home of her own. Olive is not a fan of other cats or dogs and would thrive best in a home with no small children, we recommend 10 and up for Olive. Olive is diabetic and requires twice-daily insulin, special food, and regular glucose monitoring. While she can be a bit selective with new people, once she warms up, she’s full of love, headbutts, and kisses. Come say hello—you might be just who she’s been waiting for!

Story
The owner of these 2 cats, Bella and Willow, is in the hospital and going from there to assisted living.  Their plan was for her son to take care of her at home, but he died suddenly (age 44) so she can’t go back to her home.   The cats are staying in the house for now.  The neighbor that is caring for them said Willow is shy but when she is at the house she is usually cleaning and vacuuming and that may be why she hides.  Bella is sweet.   Bella and Willow are currently at a foster home in Evergreen. Complete a cat application at www.eapl.com - once approved, you can visit and choose the cat best suited to you and your home.   December 29, 2025, 11:48 am

Story
Leo is a cuddly rag doll of a cat. He loves to lay in the sun and nap. His favorite spot is a summer morning on an outdoor enclosed catio. He loves kids and humans but can be very shy at first. It took him about 2 months to fully embrace his home and the people in it. He is very protective of his humans and gets along with dogs. He is very bonded to Oscar. They sleep together snuggled up.   He is currently settling into the EAPL Cat Adoption Center, at Chow Down in Evergreen.  Complete a cat application at www.eapl.com to be approved, then you are welcome to choose the cat who bests suits you and your home.  (Initial write up from 2023 when he arrived at EAPL:  Meet Mushroom, a sweet little guy about 5 years old.  Previous owner describes him as mellow and chill, extremely affectionate, likes to be pet, to sit next to her on the couch, not fond of being picked up and held.  He gets shy with other cats but not aggressive and lives with a big dog and a little dog with no problems.   Owner decided to relinquish due to a urinary tract infection she could not afford to treat and she was pregnant with her first child and doesn’t feel capable of taking care of Mushroom and a baby.) Story
From his foster: “As soon as Steinway arrived in his foster home, he embraced indoor life like a pro. His foster parents quickly nicknamed him “Baby Grand”.  just like a grand piano, because everything about Steinway is grand: his personality, his presence, and his fluff! Steinway is the fluffiest foster they’ve ever seen, and he knows it too. He absolutely uses his stunning looks to get ALL the cuddles and kisses. Steinway might look regal, but don’t let that fool you, he loves to play just as much as he loves to cuddle. He’ll chase toys, romp with his siblings, and even play with the adult cats in his foster home like he’s the life of the party. After playtime, he melts right into loving arms and stays there, he’s been known to nap in his foster parents’ arms for over an hour! Steinway is a treat enthusiast too, he’ll wake up from a deep sleep the minute he hears the Churu or treat drawer open! He’s truly a grandhearted companion, confident, affectionate, playful, and always ready to share love. Whether he’s flopped out after zoomies or curled up beside you for snuggles, Steinway brings warmth and charm to every moment.”   Currently at a foster home in Evergreen.  Complete a cat application at www.eapl.com - once approved you can adopt the cat of your choice. Story
Hi, my name is Sunny. I am a one year old black and white floofball.  I love to sit on your lap, cuddle and make biscuits as seen in the video on my bio.  I love sitting at the tippy top of the cat tree so I can watch all the goings on around me. I am happy as an only pet or with other feline friends.  Complete a cat application at www.eapl.com. Once approved, you’ll be able to set up a meet-and-greet at my foster home. Or you call/text foster Mom Jen at 720-255-8812.  January 5, 2026, 1:02 pm
