Story
I rescued Mia when she was a kitten. She was mine for 2 years and then I did a travel position and she moved in with my parents for 10 years until they came to Colorado to live and I took her back. Mia is a sweet sweet cat who loves attention - happiest on your lap. She is great with kids and even tolerates puppies just fine. Mia was diagnosed with diabetes last week. I have two young children and family stuff going on right now - I am unable to carry out the treatment she needs for her diabetes. It breaks my heart to try to rehome her - my 4 year old daughter loves her. But I can't do the treatment and I cannot bring myself to euthanize her when she is an otherwise incredibly happy and healthy kitty. She would do best with a family to be around, she is truly the sweetest.

Story
Olive is a sweet, spunky 8-year-old with soft, fluffy black fur and stunning green eyes. As staff favorite, she’s playful, energetic, and just a little mischievous (Okay maybe she's a bit more than a little bit... But who doesn't love mischief?)! Though she had a rough start in life, she’s now full of personality and ready for a home of her own. She likes cat nip and while she's not super playful, she will often take a nice walk on her cat wheel from time to time. Olive's ideal home will be one with no other pets and children only 16 years and up. She is a diabetic kitty and will require her adopter to be able to give her insulin twice a day, special prescription food, and regular glucose monitoring. CCS staff makes things easy for potential adopters by giving an in depth lesson on how to treat diabetes in cats and will be happy to show a new adopter the ropes! Meet a Lonely Hearts Club Member! Looking for an extra-special kitty? Our Lonely Hearts Club highlights cats who deserve a little extra love and attention. These cats may be overlooked because of their age, medical or behavioral needs, or simply haven’t found the right home yet but they all have so much love to give.

Story
Meet Jax, an older gentleman around 13 years old, who's aged to perfection and ready for a peaceful home! He would do best in a calm, quiet environment without any young children. He's a sensitive soul who appreciates gentle, predictable routines. He is not a fan of sudden movements but he loves to hide in a hidey bed and loves to sleep in bed with his human! Jax has lived with dogs in the past and does not mind them and also gets along great with other cats. His gentle demeanor would be perfect for someone with patience and a quiet space to call his own where he will blossom into the most loving cat! Does Jax sound like the purr-fect fit for you? Come fall in love with him today!

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Don't let the resting mad-cat face fool you - Lady Fluff is all bark, no bite (well, mostly). This spunky senior gal has personality and pizzazz to spare, and she's not shy about sharing her opinions. Mealtimes are her favorite time to chat, so expect a running commentary while she eats. She's got a lot to say and she wants you to hear it. Lady Fluff is a total treat connoisseur and an enthusiastic fan of pets, but she does like things on her terms. She can get a little sassy if she's overwhelmed, so she's looking for a quieter home where she can be the star of the show. All she wants out of life is a comfy couch, an endless supply of treats (but healthy ones!), and someone to come home and tell her about their day (she'll definitely respond). If you're looking for a chatty, characterful companion to keep you company in your golden years together, Lady Fluff would love to meet you!

Story
Come meet Lilly! This 12-year-old gal may not seem like it but she is the sweetest and most playful senior kitty you'll meet! Lilly blossomed while in foster but isn't a fan of the shelter and will thrive in a home environment where she can truly be herself. She loves to hang on the catio when it's nice out, playing with wand toys, and appreciates chin scratches when they are on her terms! Lilly's ideal home would be one where she can be the only pet in the home and with a good adopter who can accommodate all of her medical needs which CCS staff will be more than willing to go over with any potential adopters to ensure all parties are set up for success! Meet a Lonely Hearts Club Member! Looking for an extra-special kitty? Our Lonely Hearts Club highlights cats who deserve a little extra love and attention.
